So who's the next manager?
Watching the Indians and Brewers you see an organizational philosophy at play especially with how a pitching staff is constructed and used, With the White Sox it still seems like a simplistic approach that mirrros baseball in the 70s, I think the game has passed Cooper and Renteria by. The way the Brewers currently use Burnes is how Rodon should have been used this year. Instead you get the cookie cutter Cooper useage. Let the starter go 100 pitches before looking at potential matchups.

8.8.20 GT | Clevelanders @ White Sox | 1:10PM CT
The White Sox offense is to blame. Terrible at bats all game. Bieber may strike out 20 tomorrow while throwing under 100 pitches.

8/6/20 vs. BrewCrew @ 7:10PMCT
I agree with you but in Renteria's defense he should have had 2 out and nobody on in the 5th. Someone should have been up in the pen. Gio is painful to watch pitch. Seems like every inning is 30 minutes and every count goes 3-2 with a WHIP of 2+

Rodon leaves game early, Dunning next up?
Should use an opener for Cease to limit stacking lefties against him.

7/29 Sox vs Indians GT
The hitting is as bad as the starting pitching right now. They have 2 walks in this series through 25 innings.

My point was more about enrollment. Smaller schools use sports to attract students. I do not believe the Ivy League needs this. Ivy league schools can drop sports enrollment will not move at all. I think certain schools are dropping sports under the guise of COVID because it is easier.

Need to get out of the first inning unscathed.

Ozzie calling out Ricky's lineups
The White Sox had 2 total walks in the double header and they continue to get themselves out. Until that changes, I don't know. How does Eloy or Grandal not PH yesterday. I believe I saw that Nomar is in Schaumburg, why, work it out in Cleveland.

Sox may want to think about an opener when Cease is due to pitch but this organization is just stuck in a rut.

MLB COVID-19 outbreaks: None of as Sept 18
This is where he money squabbling in the end kills this plan. Should have built a 60 game season from July 1st with bunches of days or even a week off here and there and then left a week or two off at the end of the season to make up games. It is not a normal season but here we are pretending the switch would be flipped. Lord the minds in baseball are idiots.

Why can't MLB do the immediate testing daily?

Jake Burger Thread
Vinnie Duber on the SCORE this morning said that the White Sox were pretty happy with what they saw and feel live action is what he needs right now. I think he is doing this over the taxi squad which seems like better fit. This isn't a men's beer league.

2020 College Football thread
They can because they don't need the revenue or the enrollment. It is easy for them to do.
