Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Indians

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 03:47 PM) As much as I want the Sox to win...I have the exact same amount of confidence that they are actually going to pull it out. Cy Chen really needs to come through for us, but knowing him and the Royals they will totally f*** us over once again this season Cy Chen has an ERA of 5.22. -

Seems that after the Royal game where the opportunities were pissed away this team has really tanked. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) With normal defense, we are leading 2-1. Or you can just say the fourth would have ended 1-0 Same with Kansas City withe two balls hit to center that were not caught. Cannot just simply s*** the bed because a play is not made and that is what he does. This offense is the issue though not the pitching. -

My hated from Liriano is almost uncontrollable at this point but this game still rests on the inept offense. As the pitchers pitch count is up there he is now breezing through the lineup once again. 8 in a row retired. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) With Q's early game struggles, he would probably be my last choice for a reliever. I am not certain why Omogrosso is still in there but again it comes down to lack of offensive execution. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:29 PM) Santiago is tomorrow's starter Right to rest everyone for......now is not the time to push guys back a day unless there are some overwhelming L/R matchup benefits. Didn't work today. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:26 PM) Still puzzled why we have one of the worst pitchers in our roster in this game. Gotta save Santiago to make certain everyone is rested for............. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:14 PM) Anyone notice that all three of Canzler's extra base hits were on fastballs early in the count? Great scouting report! Whoever the White Sox advanced scout is, they are not very good at their job. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:13 PM) They've had a tremendous, base hit oriented approach so far in this series. There were times that our hitters would do this earlier in the season and it helped our offense on several occasions. I remember us ripping Derek Lowe by just slapping opposite field after opposite field hit. Exactly all the opposing pitcher needs to do is throw something close and they are now swinging out of heir shoes. The approach of this team for the last month is pathetic. -

Wow is Liriano a weke minded pitcher. The is no way he and Floyd could be on the same team. -

God is Liriano difficult to watch pitch. I thought Floyd was bad but he really looks like he has no clue on how to control a pitch. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 02:02 PM) The range of commentary in here is so all over the place...it's very difficult to get a sense of what is actually happening... Offense sucks Ventura running like wild and getting thrown out trying to steal (1-3 today) Liriano is Liriano, some good stuff some bad -

Kluber with 32 pitches through 3 let's not try to even make a pitcher work. Glad to see the mojo from last night last all of about 14 hours.....ugh -

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:55 PM) This is ridiculous. It seems they've made more outs on the bases this month than they did in every other month combined. Goes back to managing of the game and how 5 months of work seems to be lost now. The sudden bunting and stealing brought on by a lack of execution and understanding that the offense sucks. instead of moving guys around he is leaving everyone alone. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 01:31 PM) f***. Who the heck is this Canzler guy? Someone who will kill the Sox this series and next as there is no advanced scouting what so ever with this team. Think Lorenzo Cain. Coming into the series 1 home run. -

QUOTE (balfanman @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 12:17 PM) The problem with this is that it is not complete. If the Sox can score 7 runs the first few innings the offense will probably shut down for the rest of the game. Then, who pitches the 8th & 9th without letting the Indians come back and win. Sorry to be a downer, but that seems to be the "modus operandi" for most of this seasons losses. This sounds like Liriano's last start. -
