  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 29, 2012 -> 02:50 AM) Brother Rice got ripped pretty good tonight by the Celtics. I tell ya I'm not crazy about the no huddle spread offense on the high school level. BR finally got pick sixed tonight and it cost 'em the game pretty much. This quarterback they got is OK. What's gonna happen when they have a blah quarterback? Rice's defense is sucking, too. I'm thinking this coach is stressing offense more than D cause it takes some precision to run the spread. Of course I'm just speculating on that, but Rice is pretty lousy this year on defense. The fans who ripped Nye for running too much might be begging for him to come back. No they will not. Rice was expected to have one of their worst seasons in the school's history. The fact they beat Rita at Rita is huge. They are starting 5 sophomores. They will be fine.
  2. A good finish by Floyd is what he and this team needs. I have always liked Rios and it is good to finally see him playing good. interesting.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 28, 2012 -> 01:17 PM) The worst thing with this Sox lineup is that the 5-9 hitters don't have a hint of patience. Just loop at the OBPs... Rios - .330 A.J. - .325 Viciedo - .295 Alexei - .290 Beckham - .295 Our 1-4 has the ability to draw a walk and get on base, but the rest of the lineup never does any of that. Rios and AJ are tolerable the next three, not so much.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 27, 2012 -> 12:06 AM) Gemma is the worst character ever. I concur Everyone will want Tig dead in SOA. In a roundabout way Tig is responsible for the death of both Donna and Opie
  5. Detroit is a better team on paper than the Chicago White Sox there is no doubt about that. Sox hung in there but did not have the experience in the dugout or in the rotation to carry it through the season. Losing to the Tigers is not as painful as losing to the Twins as the Tigers have talent where the Twins would hang in there for the Santana starts to inevitably be swept in the first round.
  6. I think the Tigers will struggle on the road especially if Max cannot get out there. I keep waiting for the offense to do something but it is just not happening.
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 10:26 PM) Made no sense at all..............I would of rather seen Axelrod. Cleveland struggles against left handed pitching...well until this series they did. Although it is the lack of any sort of hitting that is the issue.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:52 PM) bring in a more veteran manager. They won't If you are going to bunt for a run in the fourth how is Veal not in the game with the bases loaded in the 4th then bring him in for the 5th.......
  9. QUOTE (Spod=Ratings @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:51 PM) The extreme b****ing on this board really needs to stop so does the inept baseball
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:49 PM) He'll probably say he wanted to avoid the double play since De Aza hit into that one yesterday. Sadly that could be the case.
  11. This managing is unbearable. yes bunt to get to that situation in the f***ING fourth inning. The man is way over his head right now.
  12. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:40 PM) Its his first year managing, there are going to be growing pains. How many of you thought the Sox would be contending this year? People need perspective. In the grand scheme of things it has been a great season but the last month has been a clown car. Bunting for a run with the bullpen in the game a pitcher struggling and a team that can not get a hit with RISP. This is exactly the point. Lefties are hitting Masterson so we give one up to get to the rightie. f***ING STUPID!!!
  13. The Indians suck Masterson can not throw a strike yet the White Sox will swing at the first thing that looks like it could be a strike. Here comes a 8 pitch inning.
  14. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:37 PM) Robin is in way over his head. This is terrible. It really is sad.
  15. Anybody got a scouting report on Russ Canzler as he is about to break the game wide open
  16. The defensive swings to stay alive are somethign the Sox really could work on as opposed to the lazy ground outs.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:31 PM) Kipnis literally has an OPS that's .200 points higher against righties. This franchise refuses to use any type of statistical analysis to help their cause and it starts with Cooper.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:30 PM) Nice one Robin. Absolutely inexcusable pitching move there. Ventura has choked more than anyone on this team down the stretch. Not only did he not play the match up, but he brought in maybe the worst righty in our pen. He is looking more clueless as the games go by.
  19. So the team that can not hit lefties is doing just fine this series Now Omorgosso is going to come in after the work he put in yesterday, seriously. This is not going to end well.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:21 PM) Why in the hell would you throw the screwball in that situation when you've had no command of it all season? Got to get someone up in the pen. Low baseball IQ thought the hitter would be over anxious which is the case with the White Sox. Omogrosso again......bring Liriano
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 26, 2012 -> 08:11 PM) Hell, they should have played Johnson for PK and Olmedo for Alexei tonight. Ramirez and Wise had had terrible at bats this game and Santiago is not long for this game. I really wish the Sox would at least attempt to shorten up their stroke once in a while.
  22. Sanchez cruising right along. We need a Liriano type implosion here although Chen is not long for this game.
  23. I have a feeling the Tigers are going to win by at least ten tonight.
