  1. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 03:04 PM) He really only had ONE bad year though....Thats what I dont get Jon Garland mentality. He always looks like he could be better.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) 5-4 after 5 after the ground out to end the 5th. This feels like a playoff game. This is a playoff game. The two weeks are all playoff games. A three game lead on the morning of September 18th is huge I have always liked Alex Rios.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:48 PM) Peralta & Boesch are the Sox MVPs so far. If either of them gets a big hit, this game could have gotten out of control. Same for Youk and Dunn Fister and Quintana had nothing after the second.
  4. That'll work. Here is the Gavin Floyd cruising right along meltdown.
  5. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:23 PM) No team hits Fister in the air much. hence hoping for homeruns is not a good idea, I forgot to quote the post.
  6. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) If its easier to hit an outside pitch, then why in the hell would Fister throw him one? He did with the first pitch. he throws breaking stuff away. Have White Sox not hitting the ball in the air much this game
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:13 PM) Have you ever hit before? nope, never. Look all I am saying if you are going to try and move a runner over it is easier to do with an outside pitch than an inside pitch and he was ahead in the count 1-0 so he had room to work. I already admitted I could be wrong in this thinking, what more do you want. The at-bats by Youk and Dunn were clueless at-bats and worse than Beckham.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) You must be a guru. How come you aren't in the major leagues making millions? Trying to go the opposite way is very hard on an inside pitch, that is not rocket science. If you are ahead in the count 1-0 there is no need to swing at a pitch on the inner third to try and move the runner over. Take the pitch and try to do it with a pitch away. The chances of executing are better when you do that but I could be wrong.
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:03 PM) Hitting is easy. taking a pitch is very easy.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 02:02 PM) he was trying to hit it to the right side. good pitch. take that pitch 1-0 and do it with a pitch you can handle.
  11. f***ing terrible at-bat by Bekham there maybe a bunt would have worked.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 01:59 PM) I just hate taking the bat out of the hands of arguably the best hitter in baseball. And it's not like Infante is some scrub hitter, he might get a hit too. But you have fielder coming up not beckham
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 01:53 PM) Yup, MLB games are only 3 innings now. Fister is rolling right along. They need a Gavin Floyd rolling right along meltdown. Offense is mystified by Fister and Young is killing them.
  14. Really need to rethink the pitching philosophy to Young. Not looking good for the offense.
  15. gotta walk cabrera and take your chances with fielder
  16. I know he got out of it last time but Fister has picked up right where he left off. No room for error here
  17. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 01:07 PM) Tony Tigs banged up. Jackson was questionable before this game with ankle injury, but he is playing. Avila out for injury. Bunt it to third or hit liners to the gaps that bounce to the wall. Throw low and in to Jackson and make him move out of the way.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 12:27 PM) link That list is great.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 15, 2012 -> 12:57 AM) Marist is incredible. Where are they getting these stud players? Marist is gonna win it all if it stays healthy IMO. I think Brother Rice stole one tonight. Does Rita normally pass as much as it did tonight? Rice runs that spread offense like a small college team. They have five wide outs, no running backs a lot. Do many Chicago h.s. teams run the spread/no huddle offense? It's kind of crazy. Marist runs the same offense as Brother Rice. They have been doing it for about 5 years and are awesome at it.
