QUOTE (YASNY @ Sep 7, 2012 -> 03:07 AM) I agree. I had had to watch the O's broadcast of the Sox-O's one game. Listening to Thorne call the game was a pleasure. He was good with the Sox back in the day

MLBN ripped the cubs apart on this. I assume there may be a bigger back story as swinging 3-0 in a 7-2 game in the bottom of the 5th seems fine to everyone with a brain. Like the Bryce Harper quote.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 02:50 PM) i hope some day Stacy pops up somewhere so it is no longer circumstantial He was convicted of the wife they found in the bathtub I believe.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 02:47 PM) Guilty! Son of a b****, never thought he would be found guilty. Never thought they would convict him, he should have done all of this in Florida.

This is great message board stuff the problem is journalists used message board stuff as fact which is why this was discussed on the SCORE with Don Cooper instead of hearing about Gavin Floyd's recovery. This started on a tigers message board and went from there.

Gavin Floyd pulled with "Elbow Discomfort"

Would have been nice if Mully and Hanley talked to Copper this morning on the radio about his instead of rumors that you know he was not going to address, morons. I really wish the SCORE did some producing. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 06:32 AM) Considering the origin of this entire thread was from what someone heard from a friend who works at the Score and now the Score says it's false, I would think any more speculation is moot. The SCORE this morning was talking about how this surfaced on a message board in Detroit late last week and has grown via message boards and talk radio ever sense. This is folks looking at AJ and making assumptions, valid questions but no real substance. I gotta tell ya, I love cub fans their angst is at an all-time high as they see no future going forward, none. They have maybe two starters and hope Starlin and Rizzo can be all-stars. They would die for a Dylan Axelrod or Hector Santiago and no fathom Travis Wood is not better than Nestor Molina, Travis Wood sucks. cub fans are now seeing that rolling the dice can be more enjoyable than trying to rebuild which the Red Sox will be doing in the free agent market. Year one of a three year plan is now year one of a five year plan. Sorry I am not HOPING on a five year plan. I bring that up as I really believe these rumors are fanned by trolls and it is now out of control.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 03:49 PM) Reed has now allowed a run in 3 out of 4 of his last appearances, and he's failed to go 1-2-3 for 17 appearances, dating back to July 17th. He's given up at least one hit in 10 straight appearances. Myers will be replacing him shortly. Need to make certain the $10M kicker does not come into play. -

Peavy has to be effective and efficient staked with w 4-0 lead he needs to go at least 7 and make this team and especially the bullpen forget about last night. Well so much for that idea, he needs to keep the Sox in the game? Dejavu -
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) If the Sox don't make the playoffs the offensive downgrade from Quentin to Viciedo will be at the top of the reasons why list. No it won't

Beautiful right now but supposed to get bad. Too bad they can not start early. I am sure the 5K in attendance will not be mad. -
Gavin Floyd pulled with "Elbow Discomfort"

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 08:31 AM) He pitched a side session a couple of days and had routine soreness. They were going to throw him again soon and decide what to do with him. Side session tomorrow. Threw 20 pitches Monday normal discomfort. Not sure if any of that means anything. -
Kenny questions team strategy in Detroit this past weekend.
Harry Chappas replied to justBLAZE's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He went to the press because it was obvious that the people in the dugout were asleep at the wheel all series long. I can almost guarantee you that M Cab is the DH next week. That ship has sailed. Those are playoff games now. -
QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 09:26 PM) I'm sure it's been said, but Quintana needs to be given a big handshake, thank him for his season, and let him watch the rest of the games from the bench. Hector Santiago has more bullets left. And hopefully Floyd can get back soon and give a few good starts. Put Quintana in the pen and let him get situational outs.

Just got in, saw the first....after looking at the box score either Humber is hurt or his psyche is so fragile, he is softer than Floyd. Pathetic game but hey tigers lost again. If the Sox would have just split he last six in Detroit, they would be 7 games up so sad, get them tomorrow.

Ok there was a period of time when I was off the boards but there has been one thing I have never gotten an answer to. What happened to the guy that was the only person other then Reinsdorf and Frank Thomas. I miss that guy.

QUOTE (Jake @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:07 PM) I hope Dunn can PH for someone when the time comes Why to draw a walk? The Ab Friday when he looked at a ball right down the middle at 88 MPH was embarrassing as he then proceeded to whiff on a curve in the dirt. -

Really no point in leaving Sale in there now. This is almost as dumb as the leftie/rightie thing Ventura did in Baltimore with two outs, nobody on and up by 7. This game is over becasue they are facing the best pitcher in baseball suck it up save Sale and reliable bullpen arms. -

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 08:58 PM) well its just unfortunate that we dont hit scherzer well ever. Nobody hits verlander, we dont hit max, and fister was just a bit better than peavy on friday Fister was not better than Peavy. Leyland just pulled the plug quicker. The Sox inept offense handed them that game -
