QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 02:45 PM) Mark Gonzales @MDGonzales Dunn working with Jeff Manto on soft toss drill on the field Dunn also hitting off a tee, back to basics that helped in spring training. The ball was on a tee the last two nights and he did nothing with it.

Would be nice if they finally figure out the mystery that is Kansas City Royals pitching every other team in the league has the last two games have been pretty disheartening for the most part.

Pound the f*** out of chen. The Sox need some bench help in the worst way as Youk is to fragile. The bench has sucked all year -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 04:33 PM) We're happy for you! I'm in love with the Czech women's beach volleyball team. They are certainly easy on the eyes. -
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 03:52 PM) PSU BOT appealing NCAA sanctions today. Not only is there no ability to appeal (waste of time) but they once again are proving they only care about football. hear their appeal and shut the whole f***ing thing down.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 09:10 PM) Jesse thrived in this kind of situation last year. Glad to see him show some juevos like last year as well. Indeed he did especially on that last at-bat. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 02:43 PM) Still better than Nestor Molina currently and sean marshall is better than sergio santos higher ceilign goes to Nestor which I am fine with Sox are not missing santos and may have known that they could easily replace him.

Bored at work went into Gameday and flipped through the cubs stats. Other than baby Jesus Rizzo that lineup is embarrassing. I did not realize that Soto was under .200. Ole Starlin in the .280's which is good but with that defense and lock of OBP nothignto write home about.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:07 AM) Why? Who is in the bullpen to replace Reed?

If Reed is in the deal, K rod has to come back no?

Sox eager to move Floyd, other notes
Harry Chappas replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 12:38 PM) Brewers probably want nothing to do with Floyd. They'd be more interested in possible prosects the Sox could get for Floyd, and even then, I don't think Floyd gets you top 75 prospects. If you look at some of the names the Brewers are asking for (Manny Machado, Teherean, etc.), a lot of these trade packages suggested for Greinke on this site make no sense. The Brewers are not in a youth movement if they are going after Hamilton in the offseason a trade for Floyd fills a need young pitching is not guaranteed to do. Floyd is exactly what the Brewers need. -
K Rod, Hart and Grienke for Floyd, Jones, Santiago, and Viciedo Throw in Beckham for Weeks and cash That too much turnover
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 09:37 AM) Why do other teams want Floyd? If the Sox are so willing to dump him at this stage in his career, why would other teams trade for him as opposed to a younger, cheaper player? In the NL he could be dominant.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX PIRANHA CLEAN SWEEP!!!
Harry Chappas replied to Greg Hibbard's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (balfanman @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 09:35 AM) Am I the only one who has a problem with this. on sooooo many levels. They're highly paid professionals, vying for a division championship, playing their direct competitors, and they can't get up for those games. I'm not sure what this says about their make up. They've gone 3 - 3 in their last six, and why the totals come out the same, I think that I would of preferred it if they would have won a game or 2 in Detroit and lost a game or 2 against the Twins. They should of let their exhaustion show against the Twins, not the Tigers. and they had four days off the previous week. -
This is what got Ohman fired. Throw f***ing strikes asswipe.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 10:29 AM) nice bluff. Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN As of now, Cubs' plan is to keep Dempster and make qualifying offer to get a draft pick -- unless offers improve. Not close to LAD deal yet. And he will continue to take the $12.5M the cubs will have to pay him.
