QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 6, 2012 -> 03:36 PM) Seems like people are thinking about the bad too much and not focusing on the fact that Dunn looked great today. Dunn's ceiling to help this team is infinitely greater than our 2b and 3b. Watch his set up. He is not dropping the bat so far down before the pitcher is coming set. he is loaded up to this year which he never was last year. In regard to the umpiring, hitters need to adjust. How was it that the other 7 guys could handle yet Morel and Beckham could not. Overall I think it was a good game that the Sox did not catch any breaks on.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 6, 2012 -> 02:23 PM) I really wish we had a better option for #2 hitter. It hurts to see that really all the options are so bad at getting on base for Dunn/Konerko. I feel like that's going to be a common theme all year. De Aza should do fine as a leadoff hitter. Beckham and Ramirez should be able to fill that hole but neither can. I think by default Beckham or Rios will end up there if Dunn remains in the three hole.

QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Apr 6, 2012 -> 02:13 PM) definitely. The most popular guy in town is always the 4th OF? Especially the old, bad ones This team for years has been baffled by the 88 MPH fastball. Fukodome had a nice spring and is a good early season hitter. With Rios and Viciedo both being RHH there should be plenty of time to get him in there. He can hit soft tossers and after this game will not play in either of the next two.

Adam LARoche should be released after the game today. He absolutely blew two great opportunities.

Verlander at 108 pitches with two lefties coming up in the 9th wonder if he stays in the game.
