QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 22, 2012 -> 12:36 PM) Def. Bears have such great depth now at QB and RB which is great to see. Hopefully now we can get a couple of bargain FAs of guys looking to prove themselves (like Okoye lat year). The Bush signing gives the Bears much more leverage with Forte negotiations. Another nice thing about Bush is that he is a great blocker and receiver. Could really have some inventive 2-running back sets with Bush/Forte. Emery doing a great job thus far. Not overspending on guys and making some shrewd moves. And to think, he is known as a better drafter... Cliff Stein strikes again. Emery and Stein seem to have a good thing going as they are getting the guys that Angelo would not get.

Stults may get the nod as he is left handed. He was good for the Sox before he injured himself. He has a bit more upside than Bruney especially with the LHH Central.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 20, 2012 -> 03:40 PM) Scott Miller @ScottMCBS RT @Royals: #Royals acquire C Humberto Quintero and OF Jason Bourgeois from Astros for minor lg lefty Kevin Chapman and PTBNL. Weren't Quintero and Bourgeois with the Sox at one time?

Going to see Hunger Games Saturday morning with a bunch of kids. Maybe I'll slide into 21 Jump Street if it is running at the same time. I think the kids may ruin Hunger Games for me.

First Peavy now Sale....with the weather in Chicago the way it has been, the four horsemen of the apocalypse have to be getting saddled up. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 19, 2012 -> 02:00 PM) Daryl Van Schouwen @CST_soxvan Mitchell played in 11 games and was 6-for-20 with a homer and a double, seven Ks and no walks. Confidence booster. Thompson was 3-for-9. That strikeout rate is way to high. -
IF weather holds a nice BBQ on the deck. Lived large for SS Irish parade last Sunday great event revitalized.

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Mar 16, 2012 -> 01:03 PM) That's funny because Guillen always talked about doing exactly that. Maybe he was just all talk? -
Marshall has issues and seems to get himself in situations that are not in his best interest. Marshall's wife seems to make Antonio Davis wife seem like Lady Di Marshall is a true number one receiver something there are very few of in the NFL. It is in Cutler and Lovie's best interest to make this work and both of them may be able to.

Sun-Times: Trades Will Happen Soon if Sox Fail
Harry Chappas replied to LVSoxFan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Mar 15, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) The trades should happen before the season starts, this team isn't going anywhere . We need to rebuild this organization from top to bottom. With the salary committed to Peavy, Rios and Dunn they are stuck here so the White Sox need to hope they get hot, get fans and win. You dump Konerko and you lose all fans and hope. The worst thing that happened to Sox recently is theo as the cub magic is bought lock, stock and barrel that theo is taking the cubs to the 2014 series. In the Chicago media he wins every trade and every move regardless as it is rebuild. It is the same as bears fans that think #1 receivers grow on trees and Brandon Marsahll is too big of a trouble maker for Bear fans to accept. I see Johnny Knox get broken in half and I wonder why anyone would do that. -
Listeners on the SCORE this morning just tearing Marshall apart. I really think most folks that listen to talk radio are absolute morons.

The book of Ephesians was written about those folks from the province of Epitaph although I could be wrong. As for its locale I can only assume somewhere near the Holy Land. -

or go with California A's.....that would get really confusing when compared to the LAAA -
Sox have never fared well against Tyson Ross. Maybe the White Sox shouldn't be the last team to report to spring training.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 8, 2012 -> 05:21 AM) It's hard to tell in gamethreads if people are being sarcastic or taking the results of 2-3 games for hitters and a couple innings from pitchers serious... I just hope it isn't a sign of things to come in regular season gamethreads. The last two years the team was terrible in the spring and then started the season out very slow.... This year they are having a terrible spring thus far... -

Wow the probable starting lineup playing together. That seemed to never happened until the last week of spring in previous camps. -
The first thing I thought of was I heard this was that an over the top cub fan tainted the sample.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 09:44 AM) Ben Badler @BenBadler There's a chance 2012 could be the last year without an international draft. More likely, I think we see it in 2014. Theo just kicked his dog. -
Cool sketch of Comiskey from the 40's
Harry Chappas replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 23, 2012 -> 07:36 AM) I went to the old Comiskey for about 8 years before it closed, including the final game. I still have the programs and tshirts and stuff. I can distinctly remember being in the bullpen bar (or whatever it was called) and taking pictures of Greg Hibbard as he played catch that day. As much as the old Comiskey was awesome (much like the Old Chicago Stadium was awesome), the new Park, especially how they have renovated it, is by far the best venue we've ever had to watch White Sox baseball in. I am a fan of nostalgia as much as the next guy, but IMO, our current ballpark is really underrated. The opportunities in the fundamentals for kids alone are incredible.
