  1. Weekday day games usually mean the opponent will be given anywhere from 3 to 6 runs in the first three innings.
  2. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 05:18 PM) I agree with Badger. I think its hard to overcome the natual instincts of ordinary folks to not want to accept or believe that a sane mother would murder her own, beautiful child with pre-meditation, let alone convince a jury of that beyond a reasonable doubt with no concrete, direct evidence. They should not have pursued the dealth penalty for murder one. Exactly get three counts of manslaughter and have them each look at 7 years and sort it out that fact she did not report the death and covered it up should get her a couple of years in jail at a minimum She can get 4 years max on the obstruction charges I am not sure I would convict for the death penalty but he otehr charges seemed to stick.
  3. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 03:52 PM) Picked off third by a pitcher? Hmm, never seen that. By a catcher, yes, but that's pretty rare. Was Podsednik picked off third at a very crucial time in a very crucial game?
  4. once OJ is free he and Casey will be joining forces to find the real killers OK so the child drowns and it is an accident. If true isn't there some kind of crime there? The whole case seems kind of bonkers to me. I also gotta tell ya. The state of Florida itself scares the s*** of me. There are some backwards ass f***s down there.
  5. If you watch the whole play Ed Rapuono looks more excited about the play than the White Sox. The guy goes nuts making the call and demanding AJ come home.
  6. Uggla's contract is looking as bad as Rios and Dunn. Lowe's is not far behind. There are some things to work with there.
  7. that is what he is paid to do. oddly when he came to the plate I thought...I think he is going to run into one here.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 4, 2011 -> 08:06 PM) Yes agree there really is no debate about it. They think they pulled a "told you so" with Pierre and will do so with Dunn and Rios
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:44 PM) Good to hear; he's had to battle enough through injuries. Giants beating up on the Tigers 10-0. glad it did not get washed away
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 2, 2011 -> 09:24 PM) 2 Ichiro and Nomo. Sasaki was good for a few years in Seattle but he was old when he came over and didnt stay long. Heck, how many have actually met expectations? Daisuke did for a short period of time, but he has really fallen off. Fukudome has been a massive disappointment, Iguchi really was good for the Sox for about a year and a half before he was traded then washed out of the league. A few relief pitchers have been good to decent, but it seems like maintaining any sort of long term consistency has been impossible. Remember how Daisuke had a mysterious gyroball that defied physics? Right..... Matsui
  11. this asshat was on the Fox postgame show Why is a guy from Pittsburgh who seems to dislike Chicago sports the voice of an expert on Chicago sports all of a sudden with the SCORE and now Fox
  12. nice......real nice...... real real real nice Jimmy Johnson, "How about the Phil HUmber and how about that Juan Pierre" 3 GWRBI in three days. That is a stat that they got rid of in favor of BABIP
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) 6 runs and PK hasn't done a thing. Nice to see. Need to see A lot more of that. big sacfly after Quentin's ineptness
  14. let's try the squeeze or at least screw the at-bat up by attempting to bunt
  15. Gordon has looked good the last two days why bunt there??????
  16. dunn really oughts hit for Rios with a double swith with lillibridge this inning something about wrigley, dunn and wells, I think he does something good.
  17. ramirez or pena shold be able to get the cubs the insurance run they need to let randy go all 9
  18. wow is randy wells handling quentin rather nicely today ole carlos falling right in like with the rest ofhte s*** run out there daily brutal 69 pitches trhough 6 yet another banner day by the White Sox O
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 02:46 PM) Yep, we match up better tomorrow with Garza's fastball in an NL park with the this offense looking like this, there is no matchup benefit to the White Sox. They need the starter to hold the opposition to 3 runs and hope for the best
  20. 11 in a row and 39 pitches thrown since the double
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 02:37 PM) You on a time delay? no forgot to post Edwin had more swinging strikes that inning than the previous three combined
  22. wow was that brutal wells should roll right through 7 now by simply throwing belt high fastballs and watchingthe Sox pop 'em up
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 02:22 PM) Oh please, Javy's at least had huge success in baseball earlier in his career. the point is they have huge potential that can not win a game in which more than the 5,000 people at Olympic Stadium care about both .500 pitchers with ace stuff
  24. Darwin Barney and Reed Johnson come on Ole Edwin doing his best javy Vazquez routine
  25. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 02:10 PM) TCQK having a day against randy wells
