  1. When KW sells at the deadline he gets nothing in return, at least I do not think he gets anything in return.
  2. Aramis does not want to leave Chicago. He could leave the cubs and stay in Chicago. If the cubs are looking to move Garza, they have major finanacial issues and moving Ramirez saves them a good chunck of change here. The cubs also may want to bring him back next year so something could be worked out.... He would look good between Konerko and Quentin with Dunn hitting 6th. The cubs are in bad shape
  3. The crowd will lynch Peavy if he gives up runs like he has to the Royals his last two times out. Another bad outing and I think he is on the DL until September. anyone see what Kyle Davies did to Boston last night.
  4. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 10:31 PM) We could only wish for a Rios + Thornton for Gardner deal. Yankees aren't that stupid to take on Rios' contract. The way their bullpen looks, yes they are. The Red Sox are loooking really tough. Rios would bat 8th for them and have no pressure at all. Think how well Swisher is doing with no pressure on him.
  5. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 10:26 PM) You've got a closer for a reason. And everybody knows what happens to closers in non-save situations. Even the best lose that edge. Huh? He is actually using the situation to keep some pressure off of Santos by leaving the LHP in there to get the LHH out thus making the situation easier for Santos. If the other manager goes to a RHH, Guillen pulls the LHP and brings in Santos. It is actually a very good strategy.
  6. Nice win. I posted this a few days ago. I think the Yanks take Rios and Sale (or Thorton) for Gardner. Something is up with the LHP scenario. Maybe there is something wrong with Thorton. He pitched well Friday.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) You mean when we started joking Pena must have gotten another PED shipment? Good call though, Dunn's definitely swinging better. Just need him to let it rip I think he may have changed something to make better contact and the power will come
  8. I still think the Sox move a LH relief pitcher with Rios to a team. I posted Sale and Rios can get rid of Rios contract rather easily.
  9. There is supposedly a huge crowd and postgame concert.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 09:19 PM) Righties hit .150 against this guy and lefties hit .350 against him. One guy is batting .309 and the other .163
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 09:05 PM) I don't care what happens here, but not bringing in Thornton is ridiculous. yep no need for Floyd to stay in with the way the pen is pitching and knowing we will not score again
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 09:00 PM) bet no one's up in the pen expect nothing less
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 08:58 PM) It is Walker's family on Greg. Cops oughta arrest Rios for stealing
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 08:55 PM) @ESPNChiSox Doug Padilla Ozzie having a problem with some fans. Calls over a cop. I bet they are Sox fans.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 08:52 PM) He's all the way up? Werent the a's losing by 9? 2 innings in that game Did Detroit have Jair Jurrjens at one time? If so, who was he traded for?
  16. As good as the pitching is, the hitting is just as bad
  17. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) Teahen has made a dramatic improvement at third this year. I'd call him almost adequate. Hopefully Pittsburgh agrees.
  18. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 08:23 PM) He doesn't do anything well, but he was never this bad with the bat until he got on the Sox. I wonder why? Sounds familiar for some strange reason. LHH seem to regress to a point of uselessness especially against LHP when they join the Walker plan.
  19. gets the first two and then can not close the inning
  20. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 08:04 PM) With a three run HR by CQ. exactly now floyd needs to make it stand up
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 07:51 PM) And there's where Carrasco starts to settle in. 62 pitches through 4...he'll have 94 pitches through 7. Floyd will give up a couple of solo HR and they will lose
  22. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 07:42 PM) Only this pathetic team can squander chances against a guy with ZERO control like this. Once again a Sox starter has no room for error and that leads to mistakes especially Gavin no nuts Floyd. He has no control and has faced 17 batters yet has only thrown 50 pitches. The baseball IQ for this team has to be negative.
  23. This game reeks of the indians scratching out a run or two and the Sox not have a baserunner after the 5th
