  1. how is that Reed Johnson sucks yet he plays well for the cubs?
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 01:53 PM) Well, right now I can't be too mad about walking Pena. If he was pitching around him fine but if he does not have a feel for his stuff, it could a big inning.
  3. I work a mile south of the park. The wind was howling north, out to left at he start of the game and now it is died down around here .
  4. I would like to hear cowardly defend Pierre and the Guillen family jewels to Dan Bernstein. I think Bernstein dispises pierre more than anyone and he is a huge Dunn guy
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 09:48 AM) Funny, I was actually thinking that's the best lineup they've had all year with Pena and Ramirez hitting so well right now. Ramirez is having a nice go he is so clutch when he is healthy which I think he rarely is.
  6. pierre better look at three strikes before walking back to the dugout f***ing castro
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 02:48 PM) Just seems like it would have been a good time to push him back a day, keep Jackson on 5 days rest, and have Peavy go up against a Cubs lineup that he even said he matches up better again. Oh well, we just need him to stay healthy the rest of the way, and in the long run, it's doubtful this game will impact his health that much. I did not look that deeply into it and did not realize Jackson pitched Friday. You are 100% correct that was a real bad decision unless Jackson is hurting as the cubs swing from their heels and if Jackson is wild or the wiind blowing out he could be hit hard
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 02:30 PM) Didn't Peavy pitch like 2 days ago? saturday he is throwing on four days rest what is the problem?
  9. looked like the same pitches in the same location every time well another afternoon game at work over early
  10. looking at other scores The Milwaukee Brewers play Boston and New York in interleage as do the cubs yet St. Louis plays neither St. Louis rival is KC while the cubs and Brewers get the Sox and Twins for six back to White Sox baseball
  11. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 02:06 PM) Really? I see forecasted highs for this weekend of only 91, 88 and 80. Not what Skilling was saying
  12. the hope is the LHH will hit Cook so get them all in there the reality is that it will not matter Sox play three day games this weekend in what looks like 100 degree heat. Konerko and AJ getting the day off is not an issue to me. Aj also has caught a good amount of innings the last week with the extras. They could not hit Livan so maybe they can hit Cook.
  13. While it is nice to think the White Sox can/will play better, if their starting pitching or bullpen falter, they certainly can play worse. There is no guarantee this offense will play better and if Quentin and Konerko falter the second half will be dismal. Over the last 7 games the White Sox had a very good chance to be 7-0 based on pitching. Due to inept hittingthey were 4-3. That has been the season since day 1 and it may change but if the pitching regresses, it could be worse. As I havethought all year. This team could hit .300 or hit .100. They are woefully inconsistent to have any expectations other than a 80 to 84 win season.

    Pools

These next few days will make the pool and beer all worth the bs when it is 50 degrees in June
  15. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 09:56 PM) Tell the truth: Who would have howled if he had been out by 15 feet -- as he should have been? Rather be lucky than good? with Rios coming up as bad as the offense is there was no choice
  16. if he makes the catch it would have been interesting to see if Quentin would have lit him up oh Alex you suck
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) Magic this run across damnit poof there is your magic
  18. yet another woeful AB by a Sox hitter in a clutch situation
  19. and he walks the leftie to get to Tulo v Bruney.......ya we have seen this ending before anywho this offense is as abysmal as ever this is really painful to watch
  20. anyone see the end of the cub game ramirez with a clutch 2 out 0-2 game winner Sox never get that hit and here the Rockies are about to do the same thing

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 01:08 AM) There is usually a problem every year with opening our pool, sometimes small and sometimes bigger. It went pretty smoothly this year. mine as well. I got an automatic vacuum. If the filter is running properly, it is the best $220 I have spent in regard to the pool. I also got a heater this year. 88 degree water is nice when it is 78 degrees outside
  22. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 09:32 AM) Is that a reflection of the coaching staff? nope that is a reflection of the GM and the organizational philosophy as a whole we are now seeing the result of a GM and manager that go in different directions and try to masquerade their diffences with a high payroll.
  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 08:57 AM) I don't feel good about this team right now either, but it's way, way too early to say that. You get Viciedo into LF for Pierre, find a cheap, stopgap solution at 2B and let Beckham hit in AAA for a couple of months, maybe Rios and Dunn finally start hitting, continue to rotate Lillibridge, split time between Morel and Vizquel, and this team could still win quite a few ballgames. I'd even say that would be a good offensive ballclub. They're 4.5 out and they haven't played this poorly since 2007. I'm going to take my chances with Adam Dunn, Dayan Viciedo, and Brent Morel over Darin Erstad, Luis Terrero, and Andy Gonzalez everyday. I thought they were 6 out.....seriously I did.
  24. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 29, 2011 -> 08:56 AM) How the f*** a guy like Brent Lillibridge isn't busting his ass completely on every single play is beyond me. Not that that shouldn't apply to everyone but God damn. That was a sad and pathetic way to lose a game. After the Lillibridge acrobatics in the batters box last friday to cost us the game I think we are seeing why he has not considered an everyday player I think the White Sox just have a lot of players with a very low baseball IQ
