  1. Wow is this incredibly sad. Stuggling to beat he O's, Royals and now Indians........
  2. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 12:20 PM) Time for a Castro-blast. I'll take a gapper......anything
  3. Well the walk and infield single plus the stolen bases equal 2-1 game
  4. Hafner can easily go deep here on a hanger
  5. Wow better hope they can get to the bullpen he and Justin Masterson look scary.
  6. Sox have hit two balls out of the infield.
  7. Time for his 4th SB of the year. Gimenez should be bunting here.
  8. QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 11:43 AM) What about Freddy? 138 IP I assume Gamecast is wrong but thus far in this game there have been 2 swing and miss strikes and 21 called strikes.
  9. While looking at Gamecast I ran across an interesting stat. Innings pitched by White Sox pitchers this year Floyd 170 Jackson 171 Danks 172 Buehrle 173 I found that to be interesting.
  10. The Indians line-up is terrible. I did not realize how bad it is.
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 11:28 AM) here's the guy i want to see get going. Would love to see him take CQ's spot in RF Are you talking Teahen or Jones? I think Teahen should get a shot as a LHH to break up all if the RHH if Quentin does not get it together. I like Jones once in a while.
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 11:29 AM) I think he already deserves to play out there more than Q. If he is as bad in RF as he is at 3B, it is still a defensive upgrade.
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 11:27 AM) Did he ground out to the shortstop? Who?
  14. Choo kills the Sox. This got me thinking as I was watching hte Twins Indians game and the Alex Avila home run lead me to think about the guy. I thought he had homered against the Sox a few times. He has 10 career home runs only one agaisnt the Sox but 4 against the Twins.
  15. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 11:17 AM) Pardon my ignorance but whatever happened to Grady Sizemore? Knee injury
  16. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 11:16 AM) The frustrating part of this is that he did at one point resemble 2008 Carlos. That was a good weekend.
  17. I just want Fred to keep us in the game.
  18. If Quentin could do anything resembling his 2008 self, there could be some real trouble a a brewing offensively.
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 07:53 PM) Long read but worth it: http://thetribunalbar.wordpress.com/2010/08/30/753/ This guy's blog covers in detail the rise and fall of the Angelo regime. It pretty much helps explain why the Bears are mediocre, basically it has to do with Jerry Angelo's terrible drafting, blatant and outright neglect of the OL, inability to draft WRs, and fetish for making odd DL choices. He actually started off halfway decent and looking at the drafts and how the team was being built I can actually justify the fact that I used to defend his moves. Since 2007 his drafts have been brutal. So the drafts began to suck when Lovie was given player personnel input after signing his new deal......odd
  20. The scene in the 8th inning of that crowd was amazing there was literally nobody there.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) If the Sox don't make the postseason, I will be cheering for a Rangers/Reds World Series. The Reds could be a very good team for a long time. The cubs really need to hope no other team in that division steps up as they could lose a whole lot of games until the money opens up. Anyone but Yanks or Red Sox.
  22. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 12:18 AM) At least Scherzer is going today for the Tigers. He's been pretty f***ing nasty since May 30: .214 BAA, 6.77 H/9, 9.47 K/9, 2.20 ERA. and Verlander tomorrow Also I really think Joe West is guessing when calling balls and strikes as there were some terrible calls yesterday with Austin Jackson's AB in 8th topping them all. Kudos to MLBN for the varying games they put on.
  23. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 09:23 PM) He had a fantastic first half for Detroit last year. His success hasn't come out of nowhere. He must have a sign on his back that says "I like throwing too many pitches." Leyland had him throw too much (thus the second-half slide), then he threw 150 pitches in his no-hitter, now Ozzie (who is usually excellent on managing pitch counts) has him throw 130. The guy hit 100 with his last or next to last pitch. I do not think he was tiring. I do not know what Edwin Jackson is going to turn into but this is what an ace looks like. He is also 26 years old.
