  1. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 11:06 PM) Wait, Duensing is pitching? He threw 100+ pitches on Tuesday! Tigers lead! If Baker is out they could be in trouble
  2. don't pop out or K I'll take a GIDP awesome don't stop.....oh come add a couple more and get Valverde in there
  3. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 11:02 PM) The main thing that pisses me off about him. He IS an attention whore. Thinks he is better than the game. Kind of like NBA referee Dick Bavetta, but much worse. exactly. If you get to see the calls they are not simple missed calls they were calls that he made because he wanted to prove he could....both were terrible calls. He wanted to be a hero and show us what he can do.
  4. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 10:58 PM) He is done, a forced retirement would be nice. Those look like calls he made to bring attention to himself. He really holds a grudge against a team. Duensing in...Minny pulling out allof the stops especially if Baker is out for a while.
  5. Joe West has given the Tigers two runs tonight with terrible calls. I really think the guy is senile. That's the Thome I remember. Come on Tigers they still have their closer available.
  6. Crain with 4 k's and a 2.00 WHIP in two innings also has throw 40 pitches. ugh
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 10:42 PM) 71-2 when leading after 7 69-1 when leading after 8 Despite having one more blown save than the White Sox, the Twins have lost just a few times in those situations. We've lost what, at least 6-7 games in the second half alone when we've had the lead late??? The twins manufacture a run in an inning or two while the Sox swing for the fences every at bat think KC and Baltimore series.
  8. I know both guys were out but the swinging bunt and dinks... Minny pen will be worn out for the Rangers..are Capps and Fuentes unavailable?
  9. The twins are doing just enough to win...here is how it will end. They will get good at-bats a runner on move him over and get a hit to win it. Other than Young nobody will overswing at pitches in the dirt
  10. Is there any doubt tigers do not score and the twins win in the bottom
  11. What exactly is Gardenhire doing with his pen? Twins defense not looking good.
  12. QUOTE (bulokis @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 10:23 PM) Niemi could have stayed and maybe get a little more money in a long term contract with the hawks. They said the Hawks offer was 3 yr 8M before he decided on arbitration...his agent did him no favors.
  13. I think Toronto sets up to be a tough team for the Twins as they have a little of everything that it takes to beat them. I like the Jays starters and their pen is in tact.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 09:57 AM) He has become Jermaine Dye. My thought
  15. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 09:10 AM) We had discussed attendance in an earlier Sox catch-all thread, but I'm very surprised by the horrible performance by Reds fans. Their attendance this week for 3 straight weekday night games: Mon: 14,589 Tues: 19,218 Wed: 16,412 I know the Brewers aren't a contender, but your team has a big lead in the division and is looking more and more like a lock for the playoffs, and you can't even get 20k fans?? I couldn't agree more. That team is somethign to watch. It really shows you what season ticket holders mean to a franchise.
  16. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 09:33 AM) Maybe Beckham's hand isn't healing up as quickly as we had hoped? or Mark Teahen's defense is not desired at 3B.
  17. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Sep 2, 2010 -> 09:00 AM) The White Sox are in Boston. Neither team plays tonight. They should play the first game tonight, cause Friday ain't happening and Saturday doesn't look good either. The White Sox had a day off so the team is all over the place. Coop is in Nashville and AJ in Orlando...
  18. Perry sucks but will throw four shut out innings next week as the Sox will swing at balls. The Twins are becoming amazing at laying off pitches and their pitchers just do not make mistakes over the plate.
  19. f*** avila u asswipe should have been a dp...we can not catch a break valancia will end it
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 09:54 PM) And Perry in to blow the game. Lead off single to Cuddyer. he is making a profession out of it
  21. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 09:43 PM) Not true at all. Actually, I don't think any crew has ever called back to back series with the same team. last night I thought they said West was working in Seattle over the weekend
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) Wow, absolutely awful call at 2nd base on the caught stealing. How much money does Joe West's crew have on the Twins to win the ALC? It was close could have gone either way. Here comes Thome......ugh
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 09:37 PM) This umpiring crew is pathetic. That pitch to Avila wasn't even close. Joe West and company must really hate the Sox. neither were any that were called in the bottom of the 8th. The Twins have had this crew for the last 5 games. Check out the scores.
  24. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 09:36 PM) Capps throws a 94 mph that hitters swing and miss frequently. Pena throws a 96 mph that rarely, if ever, gets a swing and miss. Because he can spot it ozzieball for f***s sake
  25. Capps is Pena with control the 0-1 pitch to Avila was the one he hit out against Putz his location is impecable
