I know Santana is struggling but get California involved in the deal and there could be somehting although I think they would more than likely want to go one-on-one with trading with the Yankees.

3-4-5 would've scored yesterday in the 10th though. Through 4 innings Jim Thome has seen 12 of the 43 pitches thrown to 12 batters. Baseball IQ is non-existent. At least his will be a quick death this evening.

This team is completly lost. 1st and 3rd 1 out guy is thrown out stealing........well at least DJ and Hawk think Erstad is godlike so he's gotta be good. That is as bad as it gets. Through 3 innings Halladay has three called strikes and 5 guys have swung at the first pitch. Nice job making the guy who hasn't pitched in 3 weeks work a little. This is just stupid.

For what it's worth Pods is to go for an MRI Monday and if all goes well (which is expected) begin a rehab assignment next week.

Not to rehash the 9th inning yesterday but the fact that Nathan threw about 9 pitches in the top half of the inning and he was going to pitch the 10th and the White Sox hadn't gotten a hit in 6 plus innings lead me to believe that Guillen was being rational about the situation. If you throw Jenks for the 9th and 10th he is done for today and the chances are you have lost he and Thorton for a game today that we may have a better chance of winning. Guillen wanted to see what Aardesma could do he rolled the dice but he is rationale. The way the White Sox are hitting they most likely were not going to hit nathan yesterday. Today Jenks is ready to go if needed. I could see using him yesterday but I also could see him not using him in that situation.

Don't team use different signals for cut, I got it, stop, go etc. to alleviate this from happening? If A-Rod knows this signal and yells it than this is kind of bush league. Defensive players can not mock snap calls in football.

The problem with the White Sox was epitomized today as I pointed out in the game thread. The inability to recognize the strike zone and make a pitcher work. Did they see more than ten pitches in one inning from the 4th through the 9th? This inability leads to the offense of the opposition feeling a little more comfortable. They do not work a count at all and let the pitcher work himself into trouble. The offense not being able to hit has caused the pressure to build on a somewhat inexperienced bullpen at pitching in pressure situations. The White Sox have not eased the pressure at all. Even when they were winning 10-1 in the 4th.....poof shut out for the last six innings against the Oakland bullpen. Same thing happened today. The White Sox have the resources to overcome a weak farm system, they just aren't using them right. The guy that shoudl be fired....Joey Cora. The fact that Logan has had greater success than Aardesma agaisnt Hunter, not knowing if Pagan was a better hitter right handed or left handed, bringing in a leftie/rightie match-up that blew up in his face (Derek Lee). These are the things that a bench coach needs to do and Cora seems like he does nothing or at least anything he does is wrong. Razor Shines will be the next Terry Bevington BTW.

Nathan may be able to go 10 innings after throwing 5 pitches that inning. Another great play by the Twins. They simply have more heart than the White Sox. The White Sox now this and do nothing about it but take their medicine and lose to them and make excuses.

There's the bright spot to the series Thorton pitched well. How about taking a couple of pitches before looking silly. Nathan should be in.

Punto is hitting .238 and has walked three times today. The Sox have been no hit in their last four at-bats soon to be the last six innings. Nice job keeping the heat on the opponent.

The offense was nice early in the game now they have gone away completely. They will lose this game because the offense can not stay on the field for more than 10 pitches. Sorry but the offense is why they lost last year and why they will again. They can not takethe other team out of the game by continuing to score. 6 runs is nice but the Twins pen will end the game with 6 shut-out innigns. This what happend in the Oakland series.
