  1. 3 shots and now an IBB. This game is going to get really ugly really quick. Well it is really ugly already. Sad thing, Danks is one pitch away from giving up 5 runs in 6.1 innings. Very, very sad. The Sox may not score a run in California.
  2. Homer 3-2 M's and that'll be the ball game. Putz may make our hitters cry.
  3. Ed wet himself on the defensive play by Crede.
  4. Crede - broken bat pop up to first Sweeney - broken bat dribbler This just gets worse. Is there going to ba different approach or just sit back and look like morons.
  5. Another tough inning for Batista. This is sickening.
  6. Fly out after fly out after fly out. Quality at-bats are really nice prior to one realizing your average is pathetic.
  7. God if we could only hit. Danks pitching well.
  8. Made him work to get out of that jam.
  9. Followed by the lazy pop up.
  10. Another lead-off solo shot I guess that's nice.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ May 2, 2007 -> 03:16 PM) Iguchi is 2 for his last 20. This offense is so f***ing bad. AJP should be hitting 8th, not 3rd. He is just trying to fit in. Farmer is mind numbing, "He swung, on replay, no he didn't." Really nice inning.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ May 2, 2007 -> 03:08 PM) How far were the homers, and on what type of pitch did Guillen homer on? Both sounded like bombs. Guillen's was a cutter that didn't move, right down the middle. Uribe with a hit. Ed all excited for the line out to center than blamed the wind.
  13. Hey a team can hit something other than a homer.
  14. Mack is not an everyday player.
  15. New theory as to not being able ot hit. Eyes are not adjusted to day light after a night game. Ball 4, inning was moving to well I guess.
  16. Konerko looking to top the worst month of his career. Real tough inning there.
  17. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 2, 2007 -> 02:40 PM) get ithe chat room now!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't at work.
  18. Erstad hit, nice. Bet they bunt.
  19. I get the feeling actually that they will hit today and Danks will buy the farm. 10-8 M's.
  20. A good over/under would be Sox hits to the number of different pitches thrown by the pitcher to whom we tip the proverbial cap this afternoon. Weaver was inventing pitches Saturday evening. Gaudin, Escobar, Durbin, Byrd and Weaver all essentially have shut his team out. Which does not include the complete white wash provide by Santana and Sabathia. Other than Erstad's homer opening day have the Sox scored in the first inning. As comparedto the amount of runs given up in the first. Yet through it all we have played tough and sit at .500 Record for this road trip 1-8. Team ERA 4.05 - BA .195. In gets cold in domes and in southern California
  21. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 2, 2007 -> 09:16 AM) Ozzie did nothing wrong. 3-2 B8 and a really solid pen which hadn't worked in three days and is off tomorrow. May as well use them. Gullien has a tendancy to leave guys in for one hitter to long and rely on the L/R thing way to much. This was a questionable move but not terrible. Pinch hitting Cintron for Ozuna.........
  22. I said this yesterday and looking at the possible match-ups. In this 8 game road trip the sox may not score more than 12 runs. Today is the only real chance to get more than 3 for the next week.
  23. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 1, 2007 -> 10:38 AM) Washburn used low and away against us last year, and threw his change in the dirt. It was a frustrating game to watch. We should do well this trip, as our lift and pull offense will be forced to hit line drives due to the geometry of the ballparks. Its hard even for Rob Deer to attack the large area of Safeco. We may see a better plan over the next few games, only to be undone when they get home. What makes you think the plan will change? As with every soft tosser we face, the spin-o-rama swing from the heels will be in full affect. Guillen will stack the line-up with righties that swing from their heels and can not adjust to pitches away in the dirt. The line-up as I see it; Erstad CF Ozuna DH Iguchi 2B Dye RF Konerko 1B Crede 3B AJ C Uribe SS Terrraro LF
