QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 10:22 PM) There's no reason why Anderson couldn't get a start in CF with Erstad in LF. Despite his batting average Pods has been pretty bad this week, getting Anderson a start in one of the first 7 games of the season was incredibly doable. Ozzie basically came out and said he didn't want Anderson on the roster but had to carry him anyway at the beginning of the season. Getting him 1 AB and an appearance as a pinch runner through the first 5 games and waiting until the end of the 3rd series to get him a start just affirmed it in my mind. The thing that makes Anderson the odd man out is that Pods has looked good (I can't beleive I typed that) and Erstad has been the best hitter on the team. Ozuna will play over Anderson against lefties as he can actually hit them and has become a servicable outfielder. The third game of the Oakland series will be the first time Anderson may see the field to give Erstad, Thome or Konerko a day off.

QUOTE(HeGone33 @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 03:20 PM) Insn't it great to finally have player in Chicago again that brings you off the couch several times per game. TT is sick!!!!!!!!!!! Literally.....he is out for tonight's game with the flu per WSCR as are Gordon, Nocioni and Wallace.

July 6th Twi-night doubleheader.

There are two ways to look at this. 1) Nice walking around feeding people 2) Guy sets up shop in high rent / highly visable area that attracts destitute people where business suffers because of type of crowd. Sorry but homeless people do not attract the crowd which spends money. This is all about business. If the guy wants to feed the homeless, follow the laws set in place.

There will be no double header the weather tomorrow and Sunday is still crappy and Sox lose money. The teams have plenty of open dates and Minnesota is not that far from Chicago for travel issues. Coinciding open dates 4/16 5/7 Come from Sunday afternoon in LA to Minny the next day this is when I think it may be scheduled 5/14 5/24 6/21 8/27 8/13 I believe MLB regulates that the game be made up at the first open date which would be 4/16.

If K State brings in a legitmate coach and keeps this class there could be a great benefit to them. Depends on who they bring in, kind of like the guy that was fired from Virginia (Forget his name).

Didn't really like the Wednesday episode. I like the reality of the show and that there isn't that much sci-fi but the smoke monster tests me. The whole sex triangle thing, rain fight, yada, yada, yada is tiresome. Still think the show is top shelf. The Locke thing interests me and is a great twist. If you can go back and watch season one it is great to tie them together. I am watching them now and it is really cool, especially the Locke stuff.

The funny thing is that the press conditions at Wrigley are far and away the worst in sports but the shrine shall not be dissed.

To strike out against Borowski in that situation is simply pathetic. The man is completly clutchless. -

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 04:22 PM) I smell a win. Sorry that's just my lunch. Thome, Konerko and Dye should be able to pound this guy. Konerko and Dye could not possibly have worse games. -

Walks the bases loaded. His magic in the 8th is crumbling. Wow Singleton telling us how good walks can be as oppossed to pop outs. Blake swings 2-0.... -

Why can't we guard the f***ing line against pull hitters late in the game? Actually was it down the line? Martinez has four hits today. -

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 03:53 PM) I thought the same thing. Perhaps Hawk was right in noticing something with his side going to the dugout. This game, unbelievably, is matching the ugliness of opening day pitch for pitch. Farmer said Konerko thought it was foul and gave up on it. -

Why aren't we guarding the line against a dead pull hitter in the 8th inning of a one run game? Is stupidity oozing here......100 foot double. Well at least Pods will get to hit again today. Swining through horses*** fastballs is going to be the theme of 2007. -
