  1. Those alone can convict someone on social media but there needs to be more to penalize the accused. Maybe the MLB has more information and then a decision can be rendered but based on the information provided thus far I am not sure there is enough. A week ago I thought this would begin a snow ball and maybe it will and he can go away and not be heard from. I did not read the Athletic column so maybe there is more there than what other outlets are reporting. This is another stain on the Hahn resume but I do not think the White Sox are in a position to do anything about it. it was a stupid move on day one and continues to look worse but the White Sox are not cutting ties and eating the money. Maybe there is other evidence out there that seems to come to light in these situations that will force him to be held accountable. There is plenty to determine he is a POS but that won't keep him off the field.
  2. I have a feeling there isn't going to be enough proof to validate her claim and as such there is then nothing the White Sox or MLB can do about it. They can base a claim on a police report or further interviews and maybe that will come out here and vindicate the victim but I would think that would be further down the road than it is There needs to be some sort of collaborating evidence against a he said / she said situation which is where this is at currently. The claims thus far is much different than what was seen in the Ray Rice case and Addison Russell. Collaborating the guy is a POS is very likely but not enough to keep him from pitching. Also I'm not certain this will have any impact in the White Sox club house unless it is directly impacting them.
  3. It's a double team block. Not going to be called.
  4. If Fields was in this draft he would be 1-1. How do we know Young is better.
  5. Why would a team do that and not just draft up to get Young?
  6. He is informed and probably gave some approval but the White Sox pay for none of this.
  7. I stated earlier all they did was take the handicap sections that are never used and cut a hole in the wall. There were no seats there to remove.
  8. This would have been Soxtalk weekend and this would have been the news drop to get everyone to cheer. Nobody changed the PR department timeline to a more sensible time to do this like when the contracts expired which was probably at the end of the season. .
  9. They basically took two sections of handicap seating and turned them into places where people could stand and watch the game. This is the ISFA that pays for it. You know Jerry ain't paying a dime and never has.
  10. The dude is a complete scumbag but he is not going to jail and probably not going to get released based on the current facts seen. Sadly in the world of sports he is not an exception and is probably the norm. Until there is actual proof of this, social media photos and posts are not enough to cost him anything. I apologize if I missed further details. This should cost Hahn his job if he was unaware of this stuff as that is just poor performance of duty. If he did do his due diligence and thought this was as sound investment he should be fired to the moon. Taking him over Cueto is pure insanity. it almost feels like the White Sox do not even try to improve their situation.
  11. That's the thing. The tools may all be there but he literally cannot stay healthy enough to show them. Then he seems to be a huge tool in the clubhouse to make matters worse. at that spot in the draft they maybe should have seen this If the White Sox were hitting with the power they should, he's an ideal top of the order guy.
  12. The analytics route was short lived. Seems like a more obvious position for him. White Sox are going to White Sox.
  13. Based on prior player development I am not certain I can blame him.
  14. If the White Sox did what the cubs did, blocked their young talent with a bunch of old guys (I include Bellinger in this group), there would be an uproar. None of those guys outside of Swanson do anything to make the cubs window any more near than it was last year. Their whole offseason was signing guys that when you open a pack of baseball cards you just shrug when you se them. They made some headlines and increase their payroll. This was what the Sox and done previously and were lambasted for it.
  15. I want the Sox to sign one of Giolito of Cease to the largest contract in club history prior to spring raining just so that we do not have to belabor the point that Benintendi has the largest contract in team history. It's a stupid narrative but one the media likes to dwell on.
  16. I was just a little confused about doing it in the paver driveway
  17. My question is why is he doing that on a paver brick driveway? Just seems like an odd place and that yoga mat isn't offering much in the way of a mat on the same paver bricks. Doesn't he have an tennis court or something?
  18. That cold weather isn't good on the joints that's for sure.
  19. The medicals scared off two teams. When has that happened to a contract that big.....then the Twins committed $200M to him....last off season he couldn't get a long term offer. Maybe this works out but there is plenty of smoke around him to think this is a really bad deal for the Twins. Cohen wouldn't take that risk.
  20. The Mets wouldn't guarantee year two. Again, if he is not playing SS and is the DH or 1B in year two or three this is a really bad deal. The fact Cohen wouldn't get a deal done tells me that there is a lot there to be discouraged about.
  21. The medicals have to be something serious. If he is not playing SS you are severely overpaying for him. It's a risky move for the Twins...wonder if the cubs would have jumped back in. I also wonder if other teams asked for the physical results before negotiating.
  22. Bears falling ass backward into 1-1 makes Claypool trade for 2-1 tolerable. I think Claypool can be a guy as well and for some reason I like Harry.
  23. A team that has built up credibility with their fan base could pull it off like the Padres or the Mets. You also have teams that have no media coverage like Tampa, Oakland and to a degree Cleveland.
  24. Whatever gets the most capital trading pick or trading Fields is the move. Thinking either draft QB will be an upgrade on Fields is not the right play nor is tanking for Caleb Williams
  25. not to mention the triple play
