  1. I'm thinking if Jason were not coming back Randazzo would have gotten the gig on tv or radio.
  2. If he plays, the entire game should be three step drops or running plays that are not planned QB runs. Claypool should be targeted on 90% of the passes.
  3. Seems the referees cost the Bulls two games in the last few days with the no call on Demar and the no call on the lane violation.
  4. My guess is that the game officials mentioned the 5 minutes and the coaches and players balked and then the league got involved and that ended it. There is zero precedent on this so I would think there is more to the story. As they were talking about after the game if the teams were notified that he was responsive and alert the game probably would have resumed. There is an AED on the sideline and plenty of professionals to assist in managing so maybe the timing is just not clear. The Go Fund ME is amazing, it's over $3M
  5. He was facing a team that did not have a front 7, the bears linebackers are embarrassingly bad and they may not be as bad as the D line.
  6. If the Bears get the 1 they trade it to Houston then trade the 2 to the Lions and get draft capital for the next 3 years,
  7. Cold as hell but little snow in city......Michigan home getting hammered. Heading there next week to check it out.
  8. Players turning on LaVine is something.
  9. Dansby should have waited a bit longer. Giolito would be a perfect fit for the Mets.
  10. Oddly enough for a 16 year old Cuban....their way of thinking got them Colas and Vera
  11. Gallo would have been ok but this move addresses their real needs.
  12. Sign a AAAA pitcher, AAAA outfielder that can defender an MLB 4th OF (Engel) give Mendick a minor league deal and roll with it. Find 2B internally
  13. Here's another stupid comparison. Pollock has a history of being injured and was old. Then there is the whole NL career thing...oh and he is right handed which the Sox don't need but these accounts there is nobody to sign after Harper and Judge.
  14. If you do not like this move you just want to be miserable and there is nothing that can be done. Stay miserable I don't care but it's a good signing and what they need. f*** it I will research to prove you wrong Eaton 1.0 24 age season OPS 86 Eaton 2.0 32 age season OPS 66 Eaton 3.0 27 age season OPS 120 carry on with your nonsense though and be a miserable Sox fan it that's what gives you your kicks. The eaton singings have nothing on this one but piss and moan and yell at the clouds while you are at it.
  15. Compare Gallo and Benentendi OPS+ and then step away from the computer this is a great move
  16. I have not read this thread but anyone not liking this deal is not paying attention to anything. The White Sox do not need power. They need their power hitters to hit with power and above average hitters. The whole offseason means nothing if Anderson, Moncada, Eloy, Grandal and Robert all s%*# the bed again.
  17. Doesn't 75% of the revenue generated from this sale disappear first when he sells and second when he dies. It's a stupid narrative that needs to go away. Same reason Wirtz doesn't sell nor the Halas family. When you sell a sports franchise it needs to be part of a larger entity that is losing money to offset the tax hit. Something like that.
  18. On the injury front, he hasn't played more than 123 games in a season since 2018. In 2020 he missed 11 of 60 games so he may have played more in a longer season but who knows. There are a few issues here that make me question why he continues to be penciled in at leadoff and SS without hesitation by this organization.
  19. I'm thinking the downturn in the economy and the team investment in Wrigleyville is hurting them more than they will lead on.
  20. Everything about him is what the White Sox and MLB need. My issue though is needs to continue to work on the baseball side of things and that seems to have stagnated and in a couple of cases began to regress.
  21. If there was bat flipping last year there wouldn't be an issue. The bat flipping, entrance music for relievers, which is akin to bat flipping to me and all of that is now part of the game. To be opposed to it is just yelling at the clouds. Anderson's off field issues seems to have a major impact on his play. I am not certain how/if this carries into the clubhouse but this would be the second time personal issues appeared to result in a decreased level of play. There should be discussions about moving him out of the leadoff spot and SS as neither suit his style of play but the White Sox seem to view this is not a possibility. Currently without a SS option the shortstop point moot. He bogs down the lineup with low OBP. The SS market is red hot right now and he could net the most.
  22. The Phillies, Mets and Padres took the same route. Only one trophy. Dodgers and Braves are hanging around. This is why the cubs are not spending.
  23. They took took Rick's seat.
  24. I hope the cubs give Swanson a bloated contract. That will be a terrible deal the day the ink drys. Great move by his agent waiting.. That being said, Sox should sign him and trade Anderson for a LHH young outfielder.
