I think Konerko and Thome get criticized more because we expect them (and pay them) to produce at a higher level. Nobody should expect Swisher to be batting .300 with 40 HR's.

And, you can never count out ARod when it comes to these types of things. America loves the redemption story. And it is great that Hamilton has cleaned up. But he gets more praised for falling hard and picking himself up and playing at an MVP level than someone who didn't f*** it all up in the first place.
