  1. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 7, 2017 -> 03:02 PM) and another mass shooting at a school, 3 dead including shooter, 12 injured This shooter was radicalized online at white supremacist sites. https://www.thedailybeast.com/new-mexico-sc...supremacy-sites Never believe an "ironic" or "edgy" racism defense, there's always earnest hate right below the surface.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 15, 2017 -> 10:24 AM) Trump judicial nominee struggles to answer basic legal questions at hearing http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/15/politics/jud...flub/index.html From the DeVos files... Knowing the basic rules of evidence is probably pretty important for a trial judge.
  3. They raised the child tax credit a couple hundred bucks so Rubio is back to yes. The newly negotiated amount is $1400, which is less than the original Senate plan ($2000) or House plan ($1600). Gotta fund those top bracket cuts.
  4. Trump hinting that he's considering pardoning Flynn.
  5. Because the Trump administration arbitrarily cut the sign up period in half, today is the last day to purchase coverage for 2018 through the exchanges.
  6. This is the sort of garbage we can expect more and more of going forward. https://mobile.twitter.com/fawfulfan/status...src=twsrc%5Etfw The 2015 reclassification as common carriers didn't come out of nowhere. It was the result of years of enforcement efforts against anticompetitive behavior and several court cases that said clearly they had to be reclassified to enforce these rules.
  7. Comcast is barred from anti neutrality actions for about another year as part of their NBC merger agreement, and I'm sure the FCC will do a strong and competent job enforcing these ahahaha get ready for days caps and throttling almost immediately.
  8. Cable companies spammed the FCC who fraudulent comments stealing their customers' identities to show support for this. Multiple state attorneys general asked the FCC to delay this vote and for information to investigate the fraudulent activity, which Pai immediately ignored.
  9. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Dec 14, 2017 -> 04:33 PM) Yeah this is going to be challenged and I doubt anything happens for another couple of years. And from there the telecom companies aren't going to change their plans right away. They'll want to pretend like they've been forced to do so due to increase costs of infrastructure or some bulls***. It'll be an interesting world in about 5 years. Disney, Facebook, Google, Netflix v. AT&T, Comcast and Turner. Who wins? They've already been caught in the past messing around with throttling and data caps which is why the FCC changed their stance in 2015. Comcast removed neutrality language from their website and official documents earlier this year.
  10. Yeah this is completely a regulatory change. Congress can change the law to explicitly include ISP's under title II, but Pai is free to destroy the internet to boost telecom profits all on his own.
  11. It's a reference to Rick Santorum's 2012 campaign
  12. Yeah, that too.
  13. Gonna do what I can for iron stache. Cruz is a long shot, but he's not very well liked even in Texas. Last time around, he got 40% of the Hispanic how. That probably wouldn't hold up if he's running against a Hispanic Democrat.
  14. The verbal daily briefing for Trump doesn't include intelligence in Russia because it would upset him. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/201...m=.91a19f01de8b It's good that we have such a fragile, incompetent narcissist running things that we're going to do absolutely nothing to prevent foreign interference in our elections in the future.

  18. My brain keeps thinking "Richard Simmons"
  19. RIP net neutrality, enjoy paying a whole lot more for worse, tiered broadband service that favors integrated telecoms
  20. New Republican tax plan lowers the top rate at the behest of their wealthy donors in states like New York and California that'll be hammered by eliminating SALT deductions. Will also obviously massively benefit the wealthy in states not hurt by salt changes. Truly a tax plan for the middle class.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 13, 2017 -> 01:47 PM) how Dementia
