  1. Danny Mac talking about how when he was "down the dial" (The Score), how he destroyed Mariotti and WMVP at that time.
  2. Just heard on ESPN 1000 that he had a cortisone shot in his ankle today.
  3. The playoff clincher vs the Mariners nearly brought tears to my eyes.
  4. Mac referred to Mariotti as "the human windsock". Nice.
  5. The afternoon crew on ESPN 1000 are responding to the moron's show this morning when he said that McNeil would be the type of "drunk" Sox fan that would jump on the field. Mariotti apparently also b****ed about the AC/DC song that precedes both the Sox player intros and the opening to MJH show on ESPN 1000. I hope MJH, Hawk and the rest of this Sox organization keep the heat on this moron. More people are finding out how much of a jackass this guy really is.
  6. While watching the Yankees-Tigers game (currently 10-3 Detroit), Gary Thorne said that Matsui has a wide margin over Konerko in the voting. Another All-Star Game, another 50,000 Yankees in it. Well, at least PK, Frank, Buerhle, Uribe, & Shingo can rest up with the rest of the squad and go on a tear in the 2nd half.
  7. With the exception of Opening Day at the Cell and the 1st game against the Cubs at the Cell 2 weeks ago, Uribe also provides above average defense. That itself is worth the risk.
  8. I thought this thread was locked?
  9. Wright should....in 2 years.
  10. I'll give 3 of them: 1) 2002 Home game vs the Yankees when Buerhle completely outdueled Roger Clemens for 7 strong innings. Then Foulke came in and gave up a 3 run bomb to Jason Giambi completing a Yankees sweep. Foulke got booed off the field. 2) 2002 (might have been 2001) road game in the Metrodome when the Sox had a 6-3 lead going into the bottom of the 9th. 4 runs later.........(DAMN YOU DENNY HOCKING! :fyou) 3) 2002 Saturday night home game vs the Expos. Buerhle left after 8 innings with a tie score 1-1. Foulke came in and gave up a loooooong home run to Vlad Guererro. Sox lose 2-1. If I'm not mistaken, that was the game where Foulke officially lost his closer's job. I'm sure there were more, but those are the ones off the top of my head.
  11. This one is gonna sting for the next couple of days, but at least we still have a share of 1st, Mags will be back soon, & both our DH & 1st baseman can play at the same time. Hats off to Mark on a superb outing, and as for Shingo, he had to lose one sooner or later. Glad it happened now and not in late September. Don't worry Mr Zero. You're still the man to go to in the 9th. For all Sox fans, hold your heads up high. The media and the Cub fans will try to make life miserable, but we'll get through it. Maybe this could be the start of something really, really good for us over the next 4 months. Gotta keep the faith!
  12. CARLOS "MOTHERf***ING" LEE!!!! ATTABOY, CABALLO!!!
  13. Everytime he boots one like that, he owes Ozzie 25 push-ups.
  14. Greg, that 7th inning was brutal. Runners on 2nd and 3rd, and nothing. I'll also admit this ump's strikezone is nothing short of horrific, but if that's the case, they gotta put the ball in play. And with RISP, Crede needed to do what Perez did right after him: Hit one into the outfield. We could've at least tied this one up. I'm as optmistic as you're gonna get, but this one has been painful to watch with our hitters. Tuesday can't get here soon enough.
  15. They just seem so discouraged right now. I hope they can shake this off when Anaheim comes in here on Tuesday.
  16. This could possibly be the worst Sox game I've seen this year. No effort whatsoever from our hitters.
  17. Mike Jackson warming up. It goes from bad to worse. :headshake
  18. We made Glendon Rusch look like Tom "friggin" Glavine. Unreal.
  19. :headshake :headshake :headshake :headshake :headshake
  20. Gotta love how the 3rd place Indians have twice as many guys going as the division leading White Sox & 2nd place Twins combined.
  21. Ugh, Corpseball sucks. Come on guys, try and get it together.
  22. More of the licking of Wrigleyville by ESPN.
  23. 2 years in a row, a Sox player has been in the running for this damn final vote. Mags in 2002, Frank last year. Both times they got bumped for an East Coast player. Mags lost to Damon, Frank to Varitek. Like the ASG itself, this is a popularity contest. Sadly, Frank & Paulie can't compete with 8 million New Yorkers and the entire country of Japan. It's not ignorant; it's realistic.
