  1. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:50 PM) Not a terrible outing after all He pitched terribly.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:40 PM) I never mentioned the former hitting coach, but if he's not getting through to Gavin, how come its not his fault? You're the one spewing nonsense. I already stated the answer to that....
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) He's the one bringing up God on a Sunday and making ridiculous assumptions about Floyd. Oh Jesus Christ, Greg.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:35 PM) Coop is God. Anything good from pitchers, its because of him. Anything bad, its quite obvious pitchers just aren't listening to him. It's been pretty obvious. Every time Gavin drifts, coop comes out and reams him out. He then has success again until he drifts again. You and this Greg Walker bulls*** has gotten just as bad as the financial nonsense.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:33 PM) How the hell do you know this to be fact? What in the world are u talking about? Never mind, Greg.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:30 PM) You asked Gavin where Jesus was today? Cheap shot and offensive. Yeah, because he is in spaceland all damned day with Jesus instead of listening to the pitching coach, who should be his Jesus with the amount of money Coop has f***ing earned him.
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:27 PM) I got ripped also..............truth is the truth..............Phillies were very happy to see him go. Not when they saw what a pos Freddy was
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:25 PM) That's why it was offensive. I don't know why it's any more offensive than you ripping on half the members of our current team all day. What if Alex Rios was my Jesus?
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:25 PM) Viciedo won a game for the Sox while in one of his bad streaks. Hard to be mad an him So did Gavin.
  10. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) He just has no approach at the plate except swing as hard as he can every time. There are times for that, but not always. Paulie is a great example of knowing when to swing hard and when to just swing for placement. And it hasn't changed...I dont think it ever will.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:22 PM) He has a reputation around baseball. Someone asked Jim Bowden earlier in the season about a Floyd/Youkilis trade, he commented, "no offense, but could you imagine Floyd in Boston". High profile situations aren't his bag baby. I heard that...I actually disagree...I don't think he's smart enough to realize there is more pressure in Boston. He's just a total space cadet.
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:21 PM) The book is out on viciedo...away away away I just fear we're destined to watch this kind of frustrating streakiness his entire career.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:21 PM) What did u mean by where is Jesus now? What do you think I meant?
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) The Jesus comment was offensive. How so?
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:18 PM) I guarantee Gavin isn't getting behind in the count because he's scared. Being behind is extra scary I wonder if he's smart enough to recognize that.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) Some of you are brutal today on Gavin. I'm brutal on him every day.
  17. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:15 PM) 70+ pitches in 3 innings. Refuses to throw strikes, pitching scared. Because he's a loser.
  18. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:11 PM) With the Indians and Tigers giving up 2 cumulative hits while being in the 6th and 5th innings respectively, it's safe to say that both will likely gain another game on us with the way Floyd is pitching. It's not a loss yet...but get Gavin the f*** out.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:09 PM) Gavin is here to stay this year. It doesn't sound like Danks is anywhere close to returning I'd rather Axelrod pitch.
  20. I think I would literally take nothing for him. I just don't want to see him pitch for us ever again.
  21. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) You suck Gavin, get the f*** off my team I agree. Get him the f*** out of here.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 1, 2012 -> 12:12 PM) OPS by first baseman in the AL: 1. Paul Konerko .969 2. Prince Fielder .856 3. Chris Davis .802 4. Albert Pujols .789 5. Mark Teixeira .772. Really, I don't even need to bother with other stats. My word he's blowing the rest of the league out of the water. Fair enough. I certainly didn't realize the rest of the League's 1B's were playing so incredibly porous.

    2012 TV Thread

Finished Mad Men last night...very solid season once again, although I agree with the general feeling that the finale was a bit lacking. No real climax or look ahead, other than what might happen with Dow and Megan's acting career. I'm assuming Don will split with Megan next season and start raging with booze and sex again. And turning the firm into a big player again. As for the comment about Glen, I am assuming they want him to just be utterly creepy and weird. Hard to imagine they would have that s***ty an actor if he was just that pathetic. When Roger was calling hoping to get Megan's mom on the phone, I thought for sure that was Glen stalking Megan. Great season though...love the historical accuracy.
