  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 01:10 PM) And that's pouting like a little girl? He's frustrated, he does that, I don't see how that is related to your comment. Could be pain, could be just a bad streak or regression. If its the former, see if a little rest can help, give him a few days off. If its the latter, he has to play through it. Either way, the last thing anyone would accuse PK of is "pouting like a little girl". Have you heard him complain even once? I'm not talking about pain. He should run the damned ball out. Instead of sulking about it like a spoiled little kid. If we're going to criticize others for doing it, then PK shouldn't be above the criticism either. But of course, you say it and you're going to take s***.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 01:03 PM) That could also be frustrated because of the pain. Like I said, it was pure speculation, but the look on his face after the jam shot to short looked like pain, not pissed. I've been seeing this and saying it for weeks now.
  3. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 12:05 PM) Maybe not. They already moved some stuff around, so if he rests it for a few games, he may be OK for the season. That last part was supposed to be green, I assume? No, it's not...watch every PA where he doesn't hit the ball hard...he immediately tosses his bat in disgust and then hardly bothers to run out of the box...I think he's more frustrated than in pain.
  4. I think it's more mental than physical...he's pouting like such a little girl.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 11:46 AM) People don't like it when stuff is hidden from them that are lower in price, even if they will never even think of buying such services. They aren't hidden...they just aren't the ones immediately recommended....you can rank the rooms by price and see the exact same rooms.
  6. Are you guys actually reading the article? I don't get the ire...they're just saying they understand that Mac users tend to spend more per night on their hotel rooms, so they show them nicer rooms...it's just them trying to tailor their product a bit more to their consumer.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 10:53 AM) If he ends up around .230 with a ton of homers, I'm selling and running away as fast as I can this off-season. I have a hard time seeing a team win a championship with that type of player in the middle of your order (especially when he's one of the highest paid players on a team that constantly complains about money). My hope is he breaks out of this slump, gets hot, cranks some more homers, and again pushes that average close to the .239/.240 range and then slides back down. I think he'll fluctuate between about .210 and .240 the rest of the year. And that is a complete BS projection that I came up with on a whim. Yes, definitely in the .239-.240 range...
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 09:37 AM) I was thinking the same thing this morning, that Gavin may be set for a patented hot streak. But then I was reminded of this stat. The Twins own him. Yeah, I forgot about that....
  9. All 10,000 lakes have been pooped in!
  10. Yes! I have always envisioned Chase Utley as a starting pitcher for the White Sox...
  11. I find it hard to think badly of Bobby....he was always just sort of a big, immature kid who couldn't get out of his own way...but I think he was always destined to be a bit of a "flash in the pan" type of player...
  12. Didn't have a good feeling about that one, given how hard Jake has worked the last few outings and knowing we really struggle with Liriano when he's going well...
  13. Yeah, Hawk was talking the other night how almost every one of his teammates have always thought he was a great guy. This is just more evidence of that.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 01:10 PM) PUIG is a much more refined and polished version of Soler, without quite the upside or downside risk. Older, much more international experience. And I'm not buying the whole idea of Soler as a five tool guy. We have our own guy in Hawkins, anyway. Seems like he could end up more of a complementary player (Leonys Martin, Leslie Anderson) than a superstar, but hard to tell. Alexei was supposed to be a Ramon Santiago/Juan Castro type of player and he was much better than that. http://sportstwo.com/threads/215834-Yasiel...d-to-hit-market 7-8 teams already in on him. Can't believe the Cubs would also go after him after all the money for Soler. 21 years old. Physically, he reminds me of a cross between Cespedes and DeAza. The picture on the left, he seems heavier, like Dayan. On the right, more like Alejandro. Cespedes is kind of in the middle, more muscular, a bit like Hawkins' build as well. Ok, that is an error...that is not even the same dude.
  15. I don't like our matchup tonight...if we can pull it out, I think it we have a good chance to sweep....but I fully expect to lose tonight.
  16. Go to the Flats and drink.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 05:38 AM) LOL, my scouting report Kyle, that was a thing of incredible beauty.
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 05:09 AM) New Q is acceptable, but not nearly as incredible as Quetzalcoatl. Or simply "The Feathered."
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 09:28 PM) I feel like that's the only nickname that has stuck. High fives Kyle and Shack! Nah, this one is all you, Q...you're the one that came up with Quetzacoatl, no? I think we just ran with the legend...
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 08:09 PM) Look, I like your optimism Jake, but I really don't feel I'm of the meatballish leanings that you are referring to because I see a player that has gotten blown the f*** up this season despite his "good" sinker you think he has. I know you play ball, Jake. You should know how to call it out. I don't think he's claiming everyone who disliked Stewart is a meatball...there is clearly room for a difference of opinion on the guy. But I tend to agree with Jake on this one...and to Caulfield's disbelief, I didn't even see the no-hit bid against the Twins as I was out in the middle of the woods camping. He clearly is not ready to be a major league starter, but I think he will be one day. He does have a sinker that moves all over the place, it's just a question of him learning how to throw it consistently. And for Cherington's comments, what do we expect him to say? This guy really blows, but I had to get a warm body back to appease the fanbase... Best of luck to Zach and Brent...I'd rather them both still be here...but they're not, so go GGW. And I am certainly happy youtube wasn't around when I was little, because my uncle would have had so much s*** on the internet of me as a kid doing f***ed up things...
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 09:00 PM) He is like Buehrle but IMO has better raw stuff. It is difficult to pitch with more cunning, guile, and command than Buehrle though. Yeah, I agree...his stuff is a tick better in my opinion, but Mark has big balls. The Feathered has a bloody penis.
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 03:06 PM) Hawk just confirmed on air Youkilis coming to White Sox. No, he said its all over twitter
  23. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 03:01 PM) Sure it can ? Youk gets pulled while Lilli still plays? Seems odd.
  24. QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 24, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) Its good for me to know. No I know, but that's not exactly the full story
