  1. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 12:04 PM) Wife and son being criminally investigated. Well damn.
  2. QUOTE (knightni @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 01:13 PM) Food stops maybe? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2la6bt I would love some roasted whole hog but not going to be eating any pig snout or feet. I m good. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 03:14 PM) Was in San Juan for a day during a cruise several years ago. Went to the Bacardi Distillery, which was not worth it IMO, the old fort which I found cool but I'm a history nerd and walked around old San Juan. I will cross the distillery off my list then. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 04:04 PM) I use TripAdvisor for restaurants now, Yelp is garbage. TripAdvisor has not let me down yet, they also give out "Certificates of Excellence" for certain restaurants (as well as hotels and things to do) for places that consistently get great reviews. A great tool. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g147320...-Vacations.html I use trip advisor a lot. Way better than Yelp. Yelp has actually proven to be worthless to me. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 04:50 PM) My wife and I went there and stayed on the west side (Rincon), and then we went back and got married in San Juan in 2011. If you're traveling out of San Juan, you can check out the Arecibo observatory (giant radiotelescope seen in Contact and featured in Goldeneye), check out the rain forest, and check out the "biobay" Fajardo. We did the one on Vieques, but it's a really unique experience. La Bombonera in Old San Juan has awesome breakfast. Other than that, we mostly just found little hole-in-the-wall places and they were all delicious. Dude my wife is a big time breakfast eater. Its her favorite meal of the day so we will def check that place out. Thanks! Also is the biobay where they have the luminescent plankton? I really wanted to check that out.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 4, 2015 -> 02:47 PM) The overreaction also was because people thought three people who just killed a cop were on the loose and nobody knew anything about them except a general description and race Yeah I understand the initial reaction from everyone involved. What are the odds that its a corrupt police officer that carefully staged his own suicide when something crazy like that first happens? The conspiracy people who pop out when ANYTHING happens will always be there no matter what but this was such a freak situation.
  4. My wife and I are going to San Juan PR next month for our fifth year wedding anniversary. Have you guys ever been there before? What is a must do/go/eat when you are there? What should we look out for as far as not doing or tourist trap type stuff? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  5. Mets GM Sandy Alderson collapsed while speaking with reporters today.
  6. These details are extremely entertaining. Sad, but still very interesting.
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 06:05 PM) I heard two weeks ago the officer was also a runner in a gang. This was exposed and he killed himself. FBI involved due to the nature of corruption in the pd. Not sure that's out there but source was pretty credible. That doesnt really fit the profile in my opinion. A depressed vet committing suicide because of PTSD does. Again ,this has all been so crazy nothing would surprise me at this point.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 03:34 PM) Another press conference tomorrow with "significant findings". Ok LOL this has been a circus all the way up to this point so I would expect nothing less with this press conference.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 03:14 PM) i want a big green egg really badly but i dont have the cash to drop on one of those bad boys I have been wanting one for a while. I was thinking the prices will be cheaper in the winter, no?
  10. Someone was saying on the radio it would take two 1's and a 2 to get Thomas. That couldnt be accurate right?
  11. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Nov 3, 2015 -> 01:50 PM) What the hell is going on outside? It's November and it's PERFECT weather in Chicago right now. Seriously. I am thinking this is a setup.
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 04:12 PM) Hypothetical: Say we just passed the golden era of football, with elite QBs running their own offenses slinging the ball all over the field, and everyone goes back to the St. Louis Rams set up. RBs start becoming elite items. Run and D. Would you lost some interest in football? This year has been thoroughly unenjoyable for me, and the QB play has been largely bad. If it keeps up like this I'm not sure how it will hold up. Now, I know it's probably a blip, just a hypothetical if the "passing league" trend reverses. WRs are more talented than ever. The honest answer from me...and this will sound meatball... is that the NFL product is nothing what I grew up loving. It is not even close. They eliminated the gladiator element to the game. I used to love watching the hits coming from all over the field. The Qb's were running for the lives. The receivers had the fear of god in them coming across the middle. There is technicalities constantly being discussed and reviewed in game. The announcers blow. The all around physicality is lacking at every position. Its all about technique now and less about being a monster and having technique to go with it. The NFL believes they can do no wrong and that they are invincible and its bulls***. The game is changed because they were afraid of being sued by everyone that has played before and they likely didnt do much to protect these guys other than taking away the quality of the game.
  13. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 03:30 PM) What happened to the Catch All thread? Its in Jason's pants making sweet love.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 02:24 PM) This getting its own thread is hilarious. If we had a catch-all..... This thread getting negative reaction is hilarious.
  15. Do you guys think that the coaching staff and Pace is now possibly factoring in Jay with their longer term plan (3-4 years) and changing their beliefs that they can win a Superbowl with him eventually?
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 12:39 PM) It seemed pretty obvious to me that they were nervous about the construction of the O Line in the first half. there were 3 moves, Ducasse went from RG to LG, Slauson from LG to Center, and Omameh to RG. I get it why they were nervous Yeah that couldve been the case. Willing to throw away the first half of offense though? After the third time they did it it was like cmon now guys.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 12:24 PM) I was frankly a bit annoyed that coming out of a bye week with jeffery/royal/bennett all healthy THAT was the gameplan we started with. The only thing I could attribute the start to was that they felt they needed to show those plays to spread things out and get the Vikings leaning forward enough to break it open later. If they started with going down the field it might have opened the Bears up to some salivating db's because of the pressure the DLine would have created.
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 11:44 AM) Because ESPN says the Falcons need a tall sure handed #1 wide receiver. Because they don't have one. What if they offered the Bears a 1 and a 2 or 3? They wont, but if they did... With the NFL trade talk is the most meaningless thing to ever do. There is like 1 trade a year. No one is giving up picks and no one has cap space to take on anything.
  19. After what happened last off season and how it translated to the season that we had I just cant get excited for any big free agent moves. Not this off season at least.
  20. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 10:51 PM) LOL This will never be forgotten by anyone that seen that day. It was like...WTF happened to his head? LOL
  21. I swear I would be so into this Bulls team if it was minus Rose. I am not a hater I promise but I just don't like his game, his attitude, his personality or his narcissistic focus. And I just can't get the idea out of my head that he let his buddies bang his girlfriend along with himself at the same time for fun...and he thought that was no big deal nothing to be ashamed of. Whatever dude.
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 08:07 AM) if you close your eyes and listen to Hoiberg speak, and then Paxson, they are almost impossible to tell apart Totally think the same thing every time I hear him.
  23. bmags will be moderating now. Warning. You have been warned. Officially.
