With so much Beckham talk it makes me think about how we approach this trade market with Anderson. Not that I am saying you should just go out trading all your developing minor league talent but that you should not over value every piece particularly when trading for a proven major league player. It turned out they should have traded Beckham while his stock was high but EVERYONE overvalued him so they didn't bite on any trades. So we should want Hahn to do the same thing with Anderson and hope he proves to be awesome one day? I am torn.

So I got my first bug of the season and it has been going strong for a week now. Coughing non-stop, sinus congestion and mucus fun. The hospital that I work at says we have escalated to code Yellow in flu precautions so it is has now begun. Good luck this winter folks! Its gonna be a yucky one from what I hear.

Had a triple pub burger last night from Culvers. I think it would be in my best interest that I don't eat another one of those. They are so rich and heavy I still feel it today. Plus I would like to live past 40.

I am pretty sure that the Sox spend a great deal of time self scouting. So if they decide that they would trade both Anderson and Johnson or either one for Samardzija its because they are pretty confident they arent trading away a blue chip piece. I am not interested into holding onto a prospect just because they have decent minor league numbers and a couple of tools. The only guys that you have to hold onto in cases like this are the freaking studs that appear to be cant miss.
