QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Apr 12, 2009 -> 10:32 AM) What the hell has gotten into Swisher? Can we get him back? Give it time...

DAMMIT! I just realized I spelled Ethier as Either again! The two words are too similar!

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Apr 12, 2009 -> 09:38 AM) How does Lance Broadway still make these lists? cause he still has potential to be a 5th starter/long reliever. That's more than what we can say for a lot of the lower level pitchers.

I think Allen is too high. He's a very good prospect, but he's still very raw and needs to work on that K:BB ratio. Nevin Griffith, even though he hasn't done much, should be on the list simply because he has more potential then a lot of the guys listed. Also, does Gilmore have an AAP Page yet? I'm gonna have to check in a minute. My quick list would be: 1. Gordon Beckham 2. Dayan Viciedo 3. Tyler Flowers 4. Aaron Poreda 5. Brandon Allen 6. John Shelby 7. Jordan Danks 8. Dan Hudson 9. Dexter Carter 10. Ed Escobar 11. Jose Martinez 12. Brent Morel 13. John Ely 14. Justin Cassel 15. Jack Egbert 16. Jeff Marquez 17. Lance Broadway 18. Jon Link 19. Gregory Infante 20. Steve Upchurch 21. Jon Gilmore 22. Lucas Harrell 23. Tyler Kuhn 24. Nevin Griffith 25. C.J. Retherford _ 26. Cole Armstrong/Donny Lucy 27. David Cook 28. Nathan Jones 29. Stefan Gartrell 30. Charlie Shirek

we could sign Adam "Pacman" Jones to play CF if that'd make you happy.

If Getz keeps playing the way he is, there's no reason not to think he can be a starter for this team for many more years and perhaps even our leadoff man of the future. The question is, would it be at 2B or LF? Getz has played great D at 2B so far, but with Beckham coming up, someone might have to move. Alexei looks like the real deal at SS, so I'll keep him there. IF everything goes as planned, my projected 2012 lineup would be: 1. Getz, LF/2B 2. Ramirez, SS 3. Quentin, RF 4. Viciedo, DH/1B 5. Konerko(face of franchise, captain, I see Ozzie and KW resigning him after 2010)/Allen, 1B/DH 6. Fields, 3B 7. Flowers, C 8. Beckham, 2B/LF 9. Danks/Shelby, CF That is potentially an epic lineup. Only problem I have would be lack of lefties or switch hitters. However, all of these players panning out and/or staying with the White Sox organization is doubtful.

I just wanted to say... oh man, how good would Either look in a White Sox uni next year? I would love for us to trade for him. Playing half of his games in the cell, he could probably average between 25-30 homers a year.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 05:18 PM) is that even possible? to hit the ball well but to be swinging poorly? of course it is. You can tell that Q still isn't the same, but he's still a good enough hitter to hit the pitches he should hit. -
Last year was a huge fluke year for Lee. I don't know if I said it here, but I said Lee will come no where close to his 08 numbers.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 05:13 PM) that wrist injury is clearly bothering him He's still not swinging the bat great, but he's just a very good hitter. -

I noticed this yesterday, but did Quentin change his stance a bit? -
I can't wait for Hudson to pitch. He's probably the pitcher I'm most excited about right now in the minors.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 05:06 PM) Terrible...Ozzie doesn't bring in Thornton to face the lefty but brings him in to face the switch hitter? Plus, it should have been obvious Dotel didn't have his good stuff today. I could tell after 2 pitches. Thornton got out of it though. -
Maybe he's just the greatest power hitter of all time?

anyone else see the new and improved kauffman stadium? Looks like a whole new ballpark now, really nice. I guess they still have some renovating to do and it won't be complete until 2010.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2009 -> 02:02 PM) That means they now have to go to Zach Jackson, Aaron Laffey or Sowers as their fifth starter. Things are getting ugly already in CLE, they could be 0-5 after today...right now they are down 4-1 in the bottom of the 6th. 4-3 Tigers over the Rangers...Rodney with a 1-2-3 ninth. The Tigers have officially awakened, 3-3 record now. We will be facing Miner, Galarraga and Porcello. That's gonna be a rough final 2 games. We suck against pitcher's we've never faced before, especially ones that are pretty good.

QUOTE (qwerty @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 05:22 AM) Who is this pitching? If you know you are 4\/\/3$0|\/|3|\|3$$. who is it?

It's been 49 AB's, nothing to get worried about, yet. He's been K'ing a lot, but that is something that can be cut down on. Give it time.

Scary, only 37% of people under 30 support capitalism, while 33% support socialism. The other 30% is apparently clueless.

I'm gonna be pissed if we see Getz and A.J. out of the lineup. However, we'll probably see a lineup of: 1. Anderson, CF 2. Fields, 3B 3. Quentin, LF 4. Thome, DH 5. Dye, RF 6. Konerko, 1B 7. Ramirez, SS 8. Miller, C 9. Lillibridge/Betemit, 2B -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 10, 2009 -> 08:14 PM) Disappointing night for Dexter Carter. 5 innings, 3 earned, 10 base runners. That would be Anthony Carter, not Dexter. I guess Anthony is somewhat of a decent prospect in his own right though.
