I don't know if Chicagoans or Illinoians are actually real words, but are there any noteable ones in this years draft? I know of a few, but just wondering if there's more....

2005 really was a fluke wasn't it? I never wanted to call it that, but it's the truth.
I agree... Looks like in 05 everything fell right in place for KW. I hate to say it to... but no doubt, that was a special team.
If KW had it his way, Kendell would be our catcher, Ekstein would be our SS, and Russ Ortiz would be our "ace."
Crede for Vizquel and Fransden....
get it done Rick Hann, get it done.
On a side note, if it was KW making a trade with the Giants, you can bet your ass that Russ Ortiz would be involved.
Looking at the minors, our main choices are...
Prinz, Perez, Wing, Vasquez, Long (eh, wtf), Whasserman, Bukvich, Reynoso...
who am I kiding? It's a crap shoot.

Aardsma has turned into Billy Koch.
I can't even stand looking at his ugly mug.
They even look alike!
How's Oneli Perez and Matt Long doing?

This was my post yesterday in another thread...I think it fits here better...
Last year from 6/6 to 7/6 we played 29 games and won 22 of them. This included some tough games against Detroit, Texas, the World Series Cardinals, the prior World Series Astros and a heated rivalry with the Cubs. I think they have this kind of run in them again. Nothing is clicking right now. This is not blind optimism. We had pitching click early on. We have some hitting as of late, but the pitching has dropped off. When both things get on track we can make a nice run, especially with our upcoming schedule. The season isn't over. Sit back relax and strap it down!!
Hawk?
No, and it has nothing to do with him being a Cub. I feel if you were to give him that big contract he will get (doesn't matter if he does bad this season), that he would eventually blow up and cause big problems...
Jason Bourgeois was promoted to AAA with the teams need for MI. Gonzalez should be down there as well, but whatever. Why isn't Getz called up? Is he still hurting?

Josh Fields needs to be playing LF for Charlotte NOW.
Also, if Craig Wilson hits in Charlotte I'd like to see him get a shot at sticking with the Sox since he can be a very valuable utility player (LF, RF, C, 1B) with a lot of pop (better than Andy Gonzalez anyway).
All that being said I'm excited to see Owens and I hope he hits.
Why Fields to LF? We'd be better off with moving Crede and pluging in Fields.

Ozzie getting greedy by putting Vazquez in for 8?
No... He has pitched great, and his pitch count isn't outrageous. I think any manager in baseball keeps him in, especially with our bullpen.
Crede not in a lineup tonight... either a trade is in the works, or KW doesn't want to show off Crede's sucky-ness to the scout for future possible trades...
Either way, I want Fields!
