  1. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 10:37 AM) What's #2 about? I'm assuming he wants us to be more like China? I'd be screwed cause I want at least 5 kids... damn, that's 30 grand right there. What if you have triplets? Sorry, you had 3 kids, fork over 10 k!
  2. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 10:23 AM) End all U.S aid to Israel. End all military aid to Colombia. Restore full relations with Cuba. That'd be a disaster considering they are one of our more powerful allies.
  3. I'm just wondering, how do women commit rape? Most men can overpower most women. Does that include women seducing men?
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 10:13 AM) Actually, you said this: The Obama Administration is not the CBO, has nothing to do with the CBO. You were responding to the post about CBO estimates. If you don't like the estimates, blame the CBO. Even better, provide an actual, material reason why you disagree with it, other than "tricks". I realize the Obama Adminsitration is different than the CBO, and I should have said Barry and friends there instead, that was a mistake on my part. However, I was replying to this post: QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 03:16 PM) This healthcare reform effort has officially moved farther than the Clinton effort ever did. We have a bill in writing from the House today. I don't see the CBO mentioned in that post or in the link...
  5. QUOTE (Soxy @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 10:06 AM) Those are the minority of cases. Most rapes occur between two people who know each other well (are friends, dating, married, whatever). If you want to talk about rapists you have to talk about the majority of them--and the majority of rapists are people who live in the community have normal sexual desires and appetites but have a need to dominate and control their partners. They are not mentally ill, they are not sociopaths. You win. But while doing my research, I found this to be interesting....
  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 08:02 AM) Dear BearSox- CBO stands for Congressional Budget Office. Obama is no longer in Congress. This isn't his projection. Sincerely, NSS What are you talking about? All I stated was that Barry and friends (friends being the congress) were up to the their magic act. While everyone is watching the right hand (Sotomayor hearings), the left hand is really the important one you should be focusing on (Healthcare Bill).
  7. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 09:46 AM) I honestly thought that was common knowledge. Maybe you are thinking of child abusers, which is a different breed of scumbag. I understand that in cases it is about power. But I just don't see how that is always the case. First thing, all rapists are sick individuals, and there is no easy way to determine what's going through the head. I don't see how if a guy kidnaps and rapes a girl, it's automatically about power and control.
  8. QUOTE (Soxy @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 09:23 AM) You're wrong; I'm not really interested in debating with someone who bases entire arguments on his own personal assumptions. Can I get proof that most cases of rape are about power and control?
  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 09:16 AM) I'm all OK with the anthem at games. But I agree with others that God Bless America is needless, and also arrogant bordering on offensive. God doesn't bless a country, any more than they bless a team or a player to do well on the field. And speaking of unpopular opinions, I really dislike players who pray or do the sign of the cross before playing on the field. God is not there to help you get a base hit, jackass. The whole point of praying before a game isn't to have god help you win the game or get a base hit. It's tough to explain, but mainly, from my experiences at least, it's to ask god to help you play up to your abilities and watch over you during the game. As for the sign of the cross and stuff after homeruns and base hits, save it. In my book, that's showing off the pitcher.
  10. QUOTE (Soxy @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 09:06 AM) Oh honey, I'm not like a teacher. I am the teacher. Also, are they committing other crimes? Rape is about power and control, not sex so I imagine they are still criminally active. Maybe in some cases rape is about power and control. But in a lot of cases, I assume it's about their sick urges.
  11. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 07:12 AM) Who practices eugenics? Planned Parenthood was founded on eugenics.... but that isn't the case anymore. And there are some scientific groups out there that work on eugenics. I'm not gonna lie, I feel this way mainly because of the movie Gattaca.
  12. QUOTE (Soxy @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 08:52 AM) Source please? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castration Don't try and be like a teacher and say Wiki isn't a real source.
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 07:55 AM) I believe this is already true. Not in all states, but most. Also, you have to prevent another Tiller situation where the abortion doctor abuses the system. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 07:55 AM) Castration doesn't do any good - rapists are rapists because of things going on in their brains. Most studies show that sex offenders who have been castrated are much less likely to repeat their offense when they get out. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 07:55 AM) I can't see how this would be possible - seems to be very much against the major principles of a democracy. I think you can make the case for ACORN being an unconstitutional organization. I got no problem with having a group that conducts the census, and a group that helps people register to vote.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 03:16 PM) This healthcare reform effort has officially moved farther than the Clinton effort ever did. We have a bill in writing from the House today. The Obama administration and it's tricks. Once again, while everyone is looking one way (Sotomayor hearings), Barry and Friends are coming up with a bill for nationalized health care already, and no one in the MSM is reporting it.
  15. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 06:43 PM) Marijuana should be legalized & taxed. There's no way someone should be in jail longer for 1 gram of crack cocaine than someone who's in for 1 gram of straight cocaine. The pledge of allegiance doesn't need to be said before the school day starts. The DH should be in both the AL & NL. People place animals way too high in our society. Whenever a cop exercises excessive force, they should recieve the same excessive force. I've seen this mentioned before somewhere else, but crack is actually probably a more dangerous drug. I believe crack is cheaper and more accessible, and it gets people higher faster as well as stronger effects. But I kind of agree with you. I think all offenses for all drugs outside of weed should have the same punishment time, depending on the severity. ______________________________________________________________________________ I agree with making Pot legal. If you want to smoke it, go nuts, I don't care. Might as well make money off of it. There should only be one tax and it should just be a sales tax that cannot get higher than a certain percentage. Fix the welfare system. I understand there are hard working, decent people out there who need the welfare check, but then you got the people who buy new cars, etc. and abuse the system. Something needs to be done and it can't be as easily accessible as it is now. Outlaw all 3rd term abortions unless it is for a legit medical reason. I agree with Lostfan about doing something like a mandatory hysterectomy if you've had 2 or more abortions. Outlaw eugenics. All child rapists should be put to death. All other rapists should be castrated and get a mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years. No judge can believe in a living constitution. Get rid of reverse racism, or what it is more commonly known as, affirmative action. Disband ACORN and community organizer groups like it. Make it mandatory for anyone running for President to have had military service. After all, they are the commander and chief. That's all I got for now.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 01:10 PM) Eh, not exactly my point. There's more to "politics" than being a politician. Perhaps I should have said "complex social hierarchies" that exist in most aspects of life. Also, I'd love to hear how Obama has helped kill babies. I should have said he will... at least once FOCA gets passed.
  17. You got two options... you can let him naturally develop into his skill set, or you can train him to throw left handed and bat both ways ASAP!
  18. Yeah, cause if Paul McCartney said it.... We aren't still living in the 19 century. It ain't pretty what happens to the animals, but food is food. I ain't gonna stop eating bacon in the morning because of the way they kill and drain pigs blood, and so on. If you don't like slaughterhouses, fine. I don't care, more meat for me.
  19. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 12:04 PM) What is the point of respecting the office if you don't respect the person holding it? This is so over the top its ridiculous. None of those three Presidents have killed any babies or the like. You make it sound like they are all worthless human beings, which is absurd. I thought Bush was good up until his final 18 months or so when he completely sold out conservatives. Clinton is a lying adulterer, not an ounce of respect for him. As for Obama, I can go on and on. And I do believe he has helped the death of a lot of babies so far. I respect the office as so many great people have held the office in the past.
  20. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 12:02 PM) LOL Just curious, how do you react to people who say the same thing about cops? I mean, there are some lousy cops out there, so they must all be scumbags not worthy of our respect, right? Let me know when you've actually met, talked with, or gotten to know any politicians. You'll quickly find that, as with any other group of people, there are good ones and bad ones and a whole lot of in between. I'm not saying it's a bad thing to be a politician, but it's not for me. There's way too much corruption, hypocrisy, etc. for me. I know one state rep in IL, and he's a good guy. But I'd rather stay out of it completely. Same thing goes for lawyers. I'd rather be dead than be a defense attorney. You got your Perry Mason's, but then you got your overload of slimeballs. As for cops, it's different, IMO. Most cops are regular, blue collar people. You got your scumbag cops who are a disgrace to the force, but with my experience cops (keep in my mind I have family in the force and have met a lot of officers), most of them want to do a good job and get home safely to their family. In either case, you need all 3 groups I listed, no matter what you think of them. I'd just prefer not to be a politician (or defensive attorney for that matter).
  21. I wonder if the hype around Nunez is warranted, or if he's another Nick Massett.
  22. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 11:32 AM) wow imagine if they did that to a non-Democrat. The MSM would be reporting it 100% of the time for months. "President snubbed! President not respected!" instead the media continues to merely be the main marketing wing of the Dem party. Wait a minute, isn't Barry over in Russia curing cancer, uniting people, and making the world a better place?
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 11:46 AM) I don't think you'd get very far in diplomacy or politics, BearSox. I'd rather be dead then be a politician.
  24. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 11:38 AM) That's funny on one level, but at the same time it is pretty f***ed up. He still is (unfortunately) the president of our country and should be shown a little more respect than that He isn't the president of their country and if they don't want to shake his hand they don't. If Obama extended his hand out to me for a handshake, no way I'm shaking his hand. I respect the office, but I don't respect Barry one bit. For that matter, I wouldn't shake Bush's or Clinton's hand as well, along with a numerous amount of other politicians.
  25. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 11:02 AM) Mix of health/animal rights, I remember a story on ESPN saying how his wife gave him a book on how animals were slaughtered for food or something along those lines. What, did he think steaks, pork chops, etc. just grew on trees?
