GOP Backing Away From Tough Immigration
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 04:16 PM) Creating a legitimate means for foreginers to come here and do dirty work does help. Allowing for people who broke the law to get by with it and have no consequenses does not. Expelling 12,000,000 workers to score votes is short sighted and stupid. Exactly why the GOP will do it.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) There you go, starting rumors again. The betta may well have killed the goldfish, and after that may have picked at the body, but that is the extent of it. And the truth is that small dead fish decay amazingly rapidly warm freshwater. Poor goldy could have been really easily picked/shaken/tumbled apart within 12 hours of expiring with natoral decomposition helping out. You are just trying to frame poor Ruby, I know it. what is natoral decomposition?

Crede for the Gold Glove
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 11:14 AM) And considering that ARod isn't that great of a defensive 3b, that tells you all you need to know about how that award is chosen. What are you basing that on? Range? Errors? Arm? I don't see him very often at third, but I did watch him a great deal when he was with the Rangers and thought he was solid at SS. I assume he hasn't dropped off that much at 3rd and in NY.

QUOTE(BDavisFutureHOF @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 10:00 AM) Not sure if this is the correct place for this but I just got this in a PM from a member with 0 posts. "Hey, what's up? This site is just a few weeks old and already doing great. If you could do us a favor and check it out, it would be appreciated. Thanks. www._________.com" I dont want the site to get any added publicity so I left it blank. Just thought someone would want to know. I have heard a number of people have received that. We are looking into it and the usual swift justice will be served. After all, we're all just Sox fans

GOP Backing Away From Tough Immigration
BTW, in the business of politics side of things, imagine how different both sides positions would be if Hispanics voted overwhelmingly for Republicans and not Democrats. Both sides would have some philosophy changes of directions I am certain.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 08:52 AM) That was a tongue-in-cheek post. get your tongue out of there . . .- I might be crazy...
I always slid feet first with a hook or a popup. It was the way my first "real coach" taught and later when I had a chance I tried head first and didn't like it at all.- Article on Boone Logan and Brian Anderson
While it sometimes becomes maddening, there is some value in Ozzie holding everyone in the roster responsible at any time.- Crede for the Gold Glove
Hitting has become way to valued in the Golden Glove. I think it has become almost 70/30 in favor or hitting. If I was picking the bext thrid baseman in baseball, I'd take A-Rod everytime. But I'd love to platoon them, and take Crede on D and let Alex hit for him. Take a little off the top of A-Rod hitting and Crede fielding and viola! you have Chavez.- This or that

The Wonders of God A boy was sitting on a park bench with one hand resting on an open Bible. He was loudly exclaiming his praise to God. "Hallelujah! Hallelujah! God is great!" he yelled without worrying whether anyone heard him or not. Along came a man who had recently completed some studies at a local university. Feeling himself very enlightened in the ways of truth and very eager to show this enlightenment, he asked the boy about the source of his joy. The boy replied with a bright laugh, "Don't you have any idea what God is able to do? I just read that God opened up the waves of the Red Sea and led the whole nation of Israel right through the middle."The enlightened man laughed lightly, sat down next to the boy, and began to try to open his eyes to the "realities" behind the miracles of the Bible. "That can all be very easily explained. Modern scholarship has shown that the Red Sea in that area was only 10-inches deep at that time. It was no problem for the Israelites to wade across." The boy was stumped. His eyes wandered from the man back to the Bible lying open in his lap. The man, content that he had enlightened a poor, naive young person to the finer points of scientific insight, turned to go. Scarcely had he taken two steps when the boy began to rejoice and praise louder than before. The man turned to ask the reason for this resumed jubilation. "Wow!" Exclaimed the boy happily, "God is greater than I thought! Not only did He lead the whole nation of Israel through the Red Sea, He topped it off by drowning the whole Egyptian army in 10 inches of water!"- This or that

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 02:38 PM) 5. Astros World Series (I loved Bags and Biggio growing up....if we can't get the ring, I'd like them to) So I wasn't the only one with a oh s***, why the Astros feeling. They are the easiest team for me to follow, along with the Rangers. I get to more Astros games than anything. Watched Clemens last season get a no decision when he gave up three hits in 8 innings. Bags and Biggio are class acts all the way. - This or that
