QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) Some thought I was an idiot doing so, but I had a great time and I would do it again if I were in the same situation. Sometimes, when it works out, working because you love the work can be a wonderful experience.

How can one person be that stupid? The kid did sound very calm the first time I heard the tape. It kills me to hear it. I hope that woman feels very bad about that. I hope that little guy's voice is haunting her dreams for a very long time. Has anyone heard what the station's protocal is for "prank" calls? I can't believe anywhere in their training is they should distinguise from prank and real. With caller ID, they kow it was someone at that location. :headshake WTF? Whomever made that decision should be fired on the spot. No way does she stay on the phones.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 09:31 AM) Pack brands are like shoe brands - its all about body type (or foot type). ain't that the truth. Sierra Design mummy bags are perfect for me, big hoods.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 08:39 AM) Mountainsmith I tried on a couple of their packs and they just don't seem to fit me. After suggesting to all my Scouts that Alps Mountaineering would be a great first pack (they offer great Scout discounts) I tried one and it is the best fitting sub $200 pack I've ever tried. My Gregory is still near and dear to my heart and if I meet up with the bastard that stole it, he will suffer.

Besides watching the game and not standing up and going to the bathroom during play, what other stuff so you like to do? I always enjoyed playing mound ball. The rules are simple. Have everyone hand a dollar to the person sitting on the end. After the conclusion of that half inning, if the baseball winds up on the dirt part of the mound, the person holding the money wins. If it doesn't, he adds a dollar and passes it to the next person. It is generally understood that the position of rest occures at the point a player tosses the ball towards the mound, however, if an umpire catches the ball before it stops moving and tosses it towards the mound, or drops it, we will count that. Of course, Steff feel free to substitute pocket portraits of Ben Franklin to keep your friends interested

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:49 AM) I'm aware of what they are, thanks. Draw 10 lines, folks pick their line, then after it's filled have another person shuffle cards Ace to 10 and flip them over assigning a number to each line. Of if you'd rather have the #'s done first, use the cards to assign numbers, them cover them with medical tape (it doesn't stick to paper), have folks pick their line, then remove the tape once it's filled. I should have known, you would know of which he spoke Great suggestions by the way.

I have to believe there will be a response from the Family Guy Camp. This could be great comedy if an Anime World War erupts

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:33 AM) Why buy them..? Make them yourself. These are the ones where you pick a line and then the covering is stripped away and you know what number you have. Usually it is the combined team single digit points. It isn't the 100 square pools, instead it is 0-9.

Baby updates? Please. And yes I know there is a blog but my computer is stuck here, I can't go anywhere else.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 07:08 AM) Yeah, banned people and deleted names take up the poster numbers, but as for an "offical" member total they don't count. Still a cause for celebration here. With the World Title, Sports Illustrated, and the expansion to the new sites, The Soxtalk family has a lot to be proud of, and it is basically all because of you people. You're such a lovely audience, we'd like to take you home with us, we'd love to take you home! :cheers Better check with Ang first, that's a lot of food to prepare . . .

http://instantwinpromotions.com/ Search Scratch and Win Card Printers. http://www.scratchoff.com/scratchandwin.htm There are hundreds, since this type of gambling is generally illegal, you have to think of the legal use for the cards, and seach that phrase.

Words are fun I was thinking Words of the Day would be a fun. What word or phrase should everyone know? What word have you heard recently of interest? I liked the 12-gauge vasectomy that Nuke mentioned in a thread. I used quaffing to describe why Miller could be in my brand loyalties.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 06:48 AM) And the first beer you drank with enemies would be??? Footwear, I'm about to go exclusive creepers, and probably TUK. The shoes I'm wearing now are almost dead, and TUK seems to now have an affordable style finally. I have one pair, but they get worn very rarely. Nothing more comfy than a good creeper. Oh, but in the summer I wear Converse Chuck's for my tenny pumps. LOL. My first beer, was with my grandfather, dark and at room temperature. There are so many situations where you need to choose from cheap, uninteresting stuff. Ball games for one. Of I have a choice between Bud and Miller, I go Miller. If I have a choice of Miller products, Miller High Life, the Champagne of Beers Now if you happen to find yourself in South Texas and looking over the selection, *you* would be offered something much better, or at least something much more interesting. In entertaining and betting on the golf course, the local and people determine the bets and drinks. Good friends at a great course, let's play $5 wolf or $50 a side and look for their best stuff at the bar. Local Muni with guys you tolerate, let's play .50 wolf and grab a can of beer at the turn. And how about kudos for quaffing?

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) And you seemed so cool. For cheap quaffing, it's the first beer I drank with friends . . . Justin boots are coming close. Most comfortable footwear, ever.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) I got carded at the Cell the other day (funny, I know) and my finger was covering part of the date on my I.D. The beer guy barked at me to move my thumb so he could see the date. I thought to myself that if I was under 21, the entire ID card would have that red border around it and there would be no need to look at the date. I didn't say anything back to him because I wasn't sure if they still made them that way. Held your tongue, damn, I'd have helped the guy out. Maybe is was colored blind

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) Although I thought Soxtalk had already passed this milestone, the counter on the main site is saying that the 3,000 member just registered. Cool milestone, I guess. We have trimmed out inactive screen names so we sometimes pass milestones and then pass them again. We understand being the best isn't post counts or member numbers.

Until convicted, I feel it is a sad day when voters in Districts outside his, determined who would represent Sugarland, TX.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 03:05 AM) Just don't pin it to a quote of mine because I didn't say it. Sorry, I just looked back at my post and can't figure out why your post was there. Your post should not have appeared in my response. Sorry for implying that you supported a speak English provision. There must have been a different post I wanted to quote and would go back and correct but I doubt anyone really cares.
