  1. Not as easy to find a Leury replacement as I thought.
  2. There was a time that I could watch a .500 Sox club and enjoy it. I don't know if I'll ever go back to that.
  3. It's getting harder and harder for Tony to stay awake after 9 pm.

    2022 Catch All

Easy project right up to the point of dropping the new base in and discovering the cabinet wasn't square. I had to pull out my tapering jig.

    2022 Catch All

Ugh. Today's end of summer project - removing the floor from my kitchen sink cabinet and replacing it. Cheap ass particle board construction that warps with little moisture. Solid wood frames and doors. The base was the only place they used particle board. I'm ordering a leak proof under sink mat so hopefully I won't be doing this again.
  6. We all want changes in the front office and in the dugout. That's a given. And we all know that injuries are mostly beyond the front office and manager's control. We also know that some front offices and managers are rightfully (and wrongfully) given second chances based on injuries. We don't want that to happen, so we act as of having Garcia in center or short instead of All Stars shouldn't make a difference. So we've lost a couple games to injuries, I'll blame players and Doc for not arriving in better condition and bad luck. I also blame Happy Hahn for not putting together a better bench and farm system to weather some of those. But it is injuries that cost a couple games. We lost a couple games to bad gambles by Sleepy in the dugout. The hitting approach that Dopey has been tasked with installing has cost us a couple games. Regression and lack of aggression (except for swinging early and often) has cost us games. Injuries exposed the barely competitive roster that Hahn put together. Injuries exposed Tony's inability to cobble together optimum lineups. But exposed them it did. So a couple games to injuries, a couple to Tony, a couple to decline in ability, a couple to attitude (also Tony's fault), and we have a four game lead not a four game deficit. The pre 2021 fan in me would be thinking we could get everyone back over the next twenty-five games, catch fire, and steamroll our way into the playoffs. I don't see that with Sleepy, Dopey, Happy, and Doc in charge.
  7. Leading the way of parity.
  8. Until he pulls the same thing with you three months in. I think we agree that leaving is the correct thing to do. We just disagree how to exit. Threatening to leave if you don't get what you want versus finding another position and just leaving.
  9. @Balta1701 Would you hire someone who just gave his employer an ultimatum of my way or I leave?
  10. Not many people can resign without a job in hand. That could end his baseball career. Nice to suggest for other people but probably not practical.
  11. Fresh blood is necessary. Fire the entire staff, especially anyone Tony hired. Let the new guy bring in a staff.
  12. You're right. That was hyperbole. But it's the same mistake again and again. Hoping for past glory from former employees. It's still a mistake.
  13. I wish he'd come out and say, these guys suck. They can't win. They are fragile as glass. The most underperforming team I've every managed.
  14. I would add Leury Garcia to that statement. He is misused the most by Tony. From batting him leadoff to three positions in three days.
