TLR out for the year
I'm not certain that you always fire the GM when you fire a manager. Especially if by most accounts the manager wasn't the GM's pick.

TLR out for the year
The beauty of this organization there are so many people to blame they all can escape scrutiny if we allow it. Somehow all these guys that should be fired produced the only back to back playoff teams in team history. In order I'd like to see leave Tony Hahn JR

Too bad they can't hire a PR firm to help. They spent all their extra money on Leury and a couple part time relievers.

TLR out for the year
Agreed. Which is why I'm not all worked up to fire Hahn or JR to sell. Just please keep Tony away.

Queen Elizabeth II has died
I agree that you just know. And maybe those closest to her knew. But she looked good just last Tuesday. Certainly not looking like she was 48 hours away from death.

Queen Elizabeth II has died
At what age will you begin wishing for a painless passing? It seems like she was in reasonably good mental and physical health. A 100 year birthday party would have been epic.

TLR out for the year
I just keep checking this thread to make sure he isn't coming back anytime soon.

Is Elvis Andrus a possibility to play second for us in 2023?
Fans of about half of the franchises would be stunned. But we're the Sox. I'll be stunned if he isn't Hahn and JR's first choice with a high mileage used second baseman as option two. It will be shock and awe if our opening day second baseman is under thirty with above league average stats over the past three seasons.

Under doctor's care amid "concerns". I find the history and protocols fascinating. It's so opposite anything in our society. Wishing her a speedy recovery from whatever ails her. Queen Elizabeth II Under Medical Supervision as Health Concerns Grow https://nyti.ms/3x8ZsOF

AL Central Standings Thread
I just don't see how we can win the division without Tony in the dugout. Said no Sox fan this century.

AL Central Standings Thread
I'm waiting for the Royals to play their youth and basically pack it in for the year. Them in playing for draft position will hurt us.

Have I mentioned I really dislike this season?

I guess I rushed home for nothing?

Better than JR making a profit. $5 Mill should be player minimums.

Lance Lynn
I wish Gio could just get back to Gio level. As much as I want to toss all the blame on Tony, injuries have been a big part of the hole we're in. As noted above we've rushed people back who aren't at 100%. Damn Lynn did look great.

The team that will determine the Central is not who you think
True. But I'm more concerned about this team winning each series the rest of the way. ?

So I assume Cairo blasted Elvus in the postgame, right?
Agreed about leaving him behind. But he was here so I'd like to see him back next opener to collect a WS ring for this season then go away.

Again, Tony was 100% wrong. What more would you like me to say?

So I assume Cairo blasted Elvus in the postgame, right?
One minor league manager left him behind, couldn't handle him anymore.

No doubt. Intentionally hitting someone anytime for any reason should be eliminated. I was speaking more about Mercedes' actions. He could have hit into a ground out and the issue would have been the same. That was the biggest difference between the two incidences from what the player did.

A bigger issue was a player with a checkered history of being undisciplined and uncoachable ignoring a take sign at worst or missed it at best.
