  1. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:27 PM) I'm sorry you are not allowed to think for yourself and must listen to those who mislead you. So did you just make this up yourself, or who misled you.
  2. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:26 PM) You do know that the scientific process was work of the devil when it was orginally brought to the world's attention.. Because now all the Chruches lies would be proven to be just that. I'm sorry you all are correct, maybe I misused the words.. There is prove there is no God.. But, Science can not prove this, just as they can not prove his brother's easter bunny and Santa Claus, and his sister the tooth Fairy are real or not. look up object permanence, take a read, think about how this reflects your own life. You may be stuck.
  3. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:23 PM) Wow, she must have used soap then. the hairy armpits took me a little to get use to. Not to be confused with Harry's armpits, which is different.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:21 PM) Except they will put us in with the Cubs, Yankees and Red Sox fans... It is hell afterall. And instead of a Rally Crede, we get White Flags™
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:21 PM) ^ Supertramp-Breakfast Over America Excellent choice. The Logical Song Gee, I wish Juggs was here
  6. QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:52 PM) Anyone who's so afraid they will get "taken" by an agent that they would rather run away doesn't have what it takes to be in the business, IMO. SFF
  7. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:03 PM) Roman Catholic here...But I agree with comedian Rick Reynolds on Catholicism: I'd attend church more if they used fudge instead of a communion wafer. "Body of Christ. With or without nuts?" (Hell won't be too bad, right?) LOL. Don't worry, it will be a soxtalk reunion
  8. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:12 PM) Does your Cult allow this type of acknowledgement, cause they have proven you wrong time and time again. Do you even understand the scientific process? What was the hypothosis and how was it tested? Show me the data.
  9. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 01:12 PM) Frank > Baines & Fisk As a sportsman? Nope As a leader? Nope As a batter? Yes
  10. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) I wish I could tell you if that was true, but I've only slept with Democrats. Wow, that's will power. I slept with a French socialist, but it didn't rub off.
  11. QUOTE(Soxy @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 01:57 PM) It is not a testable theory, thus, science cannot "prove" or "disprove" the existence of a higher power. Shhhh, he's being logical. http://agbiosafety.unl.edu/science.shtml
  12. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 01:37 PM) You would. Then you would have someone with the same intelligence.. Though, his might be a tad larger

    QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) You know, really, the governor of Texas holds little power compared to some states. County Judge is where it's at.
  14. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 01:17 PM) So you read the title of the thread, Does Your Church Make You Feel This Way?, and decide this would be a nice day to come inside and rip religion. Classy move. Why don't you start a thread condeming religion instead?

    QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:53 PM) Huh. I didn't know that. Is that law specific to Texas? I could see how that would hinder things, but I also bet many people don't know that's the case. Each state has their own laws. Some are easier than others. In a sense, Kinky and Strayhorn have to win their "primary" by convincing 40,000 voters to vote for them instead of the Dem or Gop candidate. In those terms it makes some sense. I'm wondering what Kap thinks of Strayhorn. What Strayhorn did was avoid a primary battle with the encumbant Governor. Some party faithful are very upset with the lady. We'll see if it was a good political move shunning the traditional support the GOP primary winner would have received.
  16. BTW, Anthrax, I assume your Church doesn't make you feel that way?
  17. I never really understood the first ballot vs. 13th ballot thing. The stats aren't improving, so why is it that all of a sudden he's HoF worthy?
  18. Texsox replied to Texsox's topic in The Filibuster
    Here is at least one race where Independents will have a big say. The Texas Governor race will see Gov. Perry ® (Tex likes: Kap doesn't) a yet to be determined DEM, Strayhorn (a Rep turned Indy), and Kinky Friedman another Independant. Strayhorn, has won statewide office and is clearly a threat. She has some great fundraising skills, and Texas doesn't seem to have a problem electing ladies to statewide offices. The biggest issue facing the Indie candidates is getting on the ballot. If a voter signs either petition they are not allowed to vote in the primary for either party. If they do vote, it would void their petition. So, as always, getting on the ballot is the first and biggest hurdle facing Independent candidates. To win that hurdle, comes the second biggest hurdle, raising enough money to mount a succesful campaign.
  19. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) Do you think Paulie sat down on his laptop and typed this or pulled out an old-fashioned caligraphy pen and dipped it in ink and wrote it out on parchment paper. I am going with answer C. Someone from the Sox marketing department told Paulie they were sending out a letter addressed to the fans and told him they put his name at the bottom. I am certain he approved the copy, but you are correct, someone helped him. But it's all good.

    QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) You know, they could have just fired the kid for using the internet too much. But they completely embarrassed him as well, and revealed some of his conversations through an newspaper. Pretty s***ty. Wasn't he already gone? And being a government position, and a citizen complaint, it is different than private industry.
  21. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:35 PM) Trying what.. I don't know how much easier I have to paint you a picture.. I comparing the same sitaution only with different subjects. Yet you are still can not make a case for your point with out hiding behind that F word. And to prove to us that you have the F word, I offer a challege to anyone.. and of course you refuse to accept. You accidentaly made one of the funniest posts I've read in filibuster, and instead of taking credit, you try and, try and, I have no idea what you are trying to do, besides make it funnier and funnier. Which I totally think is great.
  22. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNN! Someone finally gets it. Tex, next beer's on me. I'd rather have it in a glass but thanks.
  23. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:30 PM) Again someone who thinks Logically.. Wait do you even know what means to think Logically? From your two previous statements I think not. I don't understand the statement "attacking religous people". When I was stated here staying that Sox should sign OC, People gave me the truth about why not.. Where they attacking me because I was misinformed? Now all I am doing is informing people on the truth.. nothing more. Keep tryin' Have some lunch, I think your blood sugar levels are down, you just aren't as sharp as you usually are. Plus it gives you a chance to exit the thread gracefully.
  24. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:18 PM) That's Blasphemy! I place more faith in our system of checks and balances and the over good of the American people. That is why I yawn when the Dems are complaining that Bush would nominate someone who is "too conservative". He's got the chair and office, our system says he gets to pick. Of course the founding fathers would have realized he would have picked someone whose ideals match his own. And they were also wise enough, or lucky enough, to allow for minority opinions in the process. So I equally yawn when the GOP complains that the Dems are too rough on him, or challenging him too much. That's how the system works. The people be damned. The system will work. And of all the government employees, we have such a small number that commit this stuff, it is almost silly to even discuss it. When was the last time your postal carrier demanded a bribe to deliver your mail?
  25. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 12, 2006 -> 12:12 PM) You mean a person who thinks logically.. No, I mean you attacking religious people as not thinking for themselves, and then thanking someone for thinking like you. Such irony, and I love irony. I know you didn't think about that before posting. LMAO Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to clear up my statement, perhaps the others who think like you, were also confused.
