  1. ^^^^^^ It does sound like an urban legend . . .
  2. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) TEX, how is it building anything other then scepticism when he says "We have a plan", but when asked what that plan is, either cannot or will not tell. He actually said that they 'don't have to' tell their plan now since they weren't in power. Well, how can you convince someone YOUR plan is better than the other guys when you won't say what it is to begin with? Infrastructure at the state level. He ain't running for anything, but if he can fire up the local groups to elect their candidates, he's accomplished something. And I suppose someone may vote for the GOP congressional candidate because of something Dean said, but I doubt it would be too many.
  3. Actually IIRC her son and the 15-year old were friends
  4. A-Rod is the best player in the game, I'd start any team with him.
  5. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 12:45 PM) In the article I just read on it... The writer said that the woman was "shell-shocked". :headshake Some people need their writing utensils taken away. Nine hours thirty seven minutes later, I get the joke.
  6. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) If you're a Republican you gotta admit the guy is probably one of the best things to happen in a while. He's makes his party look so bad. Actually he is rebuilding from the bottom up which is his strength. That could be huge. I dislike his rhetoric.
  7. nice, subtle making me read that small print
  8. QUOTE(FoxySoxGirl @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 09:51 PM) What's the deal with people getting knocked up in high school? Contraceptives? Maybe? That age difference is just highly wrong as well. :banghead If she is in high school, she must either be a teacher or really stupid . . .
  9. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) this is the gayest thread... *rimshot* PA comes into the gay thread looking for a rimshot ::faints::
  10. We have gridlock most of the time with a two party system. Three parties and they will look like monkeys at the zoo, masturbating and pulling lice out of each other's hair. They'll be busy, having fun, but only helping each other and themselves to have a good time, while disgusting us.
  11. Sorry, I thought it was about makeup not hookups
  12. As an out lesbian, may I say that is one hot three-some. I only wsh Tammy Baldwin was included to add a political slant to the thread.
  13. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) I agree with you, Mercy. /faints To me, the political graph looks like a normal distrubution curve - the standard bell shape. The top and bottom 5% run the parties of either side. And because that's the case, it's hard to run as a centerist candidate, because you have to have the party support first. I really, really, really wish that there were a viable third party option, however, the two dominant parties have worked together to put a stop to that pretty much. Isn't it amazing that they are "bipartisian" on that deal? I get all choked up when two of my favorite posters find common ground. My work here is finished. Up, up, and awaaaaaaaay.
  14. QUOTE(Mercy! @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 08:26 PM) Have fun getting to know Mr. Milton tonight. January
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) I feel damn sorry for that child. which one?
  16. It's best when you are balancing a business, a job, two teenagers, volunteer activities, and trying to take some classes that are at least half way interesting.

  19. QP, did your birthday gift arrive? I sent it with the RSVP for your wedding
  20. In a companion thought, homosexuals are the new communists. Without a commie under every bed, Churches and political parties needed something, and homosexuals filled the gap, God bless them.
  21. I am in such a great mood, I can't describe it. Balloting for the 2005 Chicago Music Awards started and I noticed a friend of mine from college, Joan Hammel, is nominated for the Pop Entertainer of the Year. She is up against some pretty tough names including R. Kelly and Kanye West. Other news: I found out that her album has been included on the Nominations Ballot for the Grammy Awards for 2006 in four different categories. Only the top five are announced in December as the finalists. I have no delusions about her beating out Celine Dion, Cheryl Crowe, Gloria Estefan, Barbara Streisand, etc. but I am very happy to see her on the list when something like 15,000 albums came out last year. It is amazing to be that an independent artist in pop could compete. Joan is truly a unique individual, one of the outstanding people I have met in my life. She was the feature editor of my college paper when I was managing editor. The link for voting is here http://martinsinterculture.com/sub3.htm
  22. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/americas/11/...a.ap/index.html Sometimes I think this guy just talks cause he likes the sound of his own voice. How about the central issue, should NAFTA extend throughout all of South America? Giant sucking sound or economic bonanza?
