  1. Wow, we are really getting screwed tonight.
  2. Can we watch that one 130 times an hour on every sports show?
  3. No big deal, if that poor call costs us the game, we shouldn't have let it be that close. Mistakes happen, the Astros took advantage of it.
  4. Like I said, we're scoring here. Great a bad call that went to the Astros. Let's show that one a few dozen times.
  5. So much more baseball to be played. We've done everything this post season except a comeback from 5 or 6 runs down. Won't that be sooooo cool?! No worries y'all.
  6. How far off the bag could PK have gone? He needed to tag the runner. At best it's 90/10 Uribe's fault.
  7. I thought we would need at least four runs to win this one, still no problem. I'm not worried. When will we see Duque?
  8. Nice play Uribe, thank you. I thought it would take at least 3 runs to win tonight, so no big deal.
  9. I thought it would take more than 1 run to win this one.
  10. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 07:16 PM) When I'm at home I buy maseca, use my parents tortilla press and make my own. Mmmmmm, delicious!!! Can't be beat. If you weren't so young and inexperienced, I'd marry you
  11. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) thought I just heard them say on ESPN that AJ is 5th and Rowand is sixth to go righty-lefty-righty in that part of the order QUOTE(Johnny @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 06:53 PM) they should of left it as is. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) Who'd pitch? Jurassic? QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 07:00 PM) I hear that we will be batting Jon in the nine hole, for s***s and giggles. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 07:04 PM) I heard the pitchers spot will be batting 9th instead of 5th tonight.
  12. This is how their stadium has been set up since June. Now they are adjusting to their own stadium, that doesn't seem fair. It isn't like they all of a sudden they decided to close the roof. If baseball doesn't like domes, then don't allow teams to build them.
  13. If mlb said the Sox could not shoot off fireworks, would we be upset? The roof has been closed since June, mlb should have left it closed.
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 01:37 PM) I own the box set. It has three CDs all the way back to before Perry joined. I sing along because it keeps my voice in shape, ever since I left my voice classes in college. Yes, I can sing as high as he can. Gee sorry knight, all this time I thought you were a man I actually have respect for any group that can sell that many albums. IMHO, it is easier to "find your own sound" and "stay true to what you believe" etc. than go record a song that 25,000,000 people will sing on their way to work.
  15. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 03:29 PM) If MLB gets to determine if games get canceled during the fall, they have every right to determine whether or not a roof should be open. I don't see the connection. I could see that as justification to close the roof, not to require it open. For example, if a rain out would allow their top starter to play the next day, and the team insisted on the roof open, I could see mlb jumping in and requesting it be closed. I can't see them ordering it open. If the roof jammed closed, would they cancel the game? The Astros were allowed to build this park with the funky dimensions and a retractable roof. Teams are allowed to change their parks dimensions by installing temporary walls and shortening the field. The Astros have a hill and flagpole in play in center field. If mlb allows all that on a local level, why should they then step in a require the roof be closed? With the roof closed they are assured perfect "weather" for the game. Plus, I don't want to give nay sayers any more ammo.
  16. Wow. Since I've never been to one of those places I have no idea what these things should have cost.
  17. I told T I couldn't be a bridesmaid and I guess she uninvited me to the wedding.
  18. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 01:56 PM) BOOOOOOoooooooo!!! Kevin was GREAT around '89-'92 but then started getting old REAL fast. But when Jim was going for his drivers licence that one time and crashed into the building, man, that was good stuff! Heeeey buuuddy... My favorite Kev bit was he had a caller on the phone and kept threatening to give out his phone number unless the kid did was Kev asked. Funny stuff. That whole group of Dahl, Mathews, Brandmeier, and (wasn't) Bob Stroud doing mid days was awesome. The Loop was always my favorite station.
  19. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) If nobodies around...does he make a sound???
  20. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) you mean when he was working for the Royals? Yes, before he got paid to get conservatives all hot and horny Can I have a ditto
  21. The Astros should have their choice. Every team has always tailored their field to their style game. Hard and fast, soft and slow, walls in or walls out depending on the team. Baseball is not played on a regulation field, court, or rink like football, basketball, and hockey. Baseball fields have their quirky dimensions, angles, and domes. I'm more concerned about Rowand handling the flagpole and hill that are in play in center field. If y'all haven't seen the park, that's a weird feature. Those Crawford Street boxes are so close that I think Uribe could run down a warning track fly ball. Plenty of differences, the dome is just one. MLB allowed this stadium to be built, and they should allow the stadium to be set up anyway the Astros desire.
