Environmental Science was the MB. My current Troop started because of a similar Scoutmaster moment. He basically handed his son an Eagle medal. The dad was literally an all-world Scouter. International Scouting, author of merit badge books, a very decent guy, but he had a son that had "issues", hated Scouting, and was so openly defiant it defies description. I don't think dad could handle it. We started this Troop in 2000 and have fluctuated between 15 and 35 Scouts. We just spun off a Venturing Crew, which is a BSA program for young men and ladies 14-21. Very cool dynamics and I'm enjoying challenging this age group. Great group of kids. They all asked me why I was at the meeting last night instead of in front of the TV watching the White Sox. That included Astros, Red Sox, and Yankee fans.

Rally Crede can not take any time off this off season. For the first time in my lifetime, the off season can only be worse than the end of the season. I don't see us adding a huge name to the roster, just trying to hang on to what we have. We have gut retching times with Konerko and Thomas, and all that World Series s*** I bought last night to pay for. Dammit, I needed 3 sweatshirts living in South Texas

Just to be clear, I still think some of y'all are real idiots, have zero common sense, whine waaaaay to much about media treatment, think players are fans, and a few other things. I'm not letting this sentimental ooooh we are the champions feeling to cloud my judgement.

The Bears electrified the city and suburbs more. From Antioch to Kankakee. There was never a doubt about just how good the Bears were. So there was a lot more chest thumping. I just told Kap that last night was the moment I knew the Sox were there. From the first inning I never worried, I *knew* they were going to win last night. I never doubted and posted No worries y'all a dozen times.

For out of towners, it's easily the best place to be.

Notice that the fans down the left field line allowed Uribe a chance. Probably not true in other venues.
