  1. Break it open boys
  2. I picked a bad week to give up smack . . .
  3. It's Eat What You Kill Time! Unlike stupid evil wrongdoers who allow the hero a moment to escape, the Sox have their feet on the Angel's throats, time to finish them off.
  4. I can't wait for the first pitch ~and~ I am so nervous . . . I never thought I would live to see this day, a chance to clich.
  5. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 10:50 AM) Thanks. It just means I have limited movement, so darn it, I can't go into work today and I'll probably have to stay in tonight and watch the Sox. Ugh, this is such a tragedy. It used to seem to me That my life ran on too fast And I had to take it slowly Just to make the good parts last But when you're born to run It's so hard to just slow down So don't be surprised to see me Back in that bright part of town I'll be back in the high life again All the doors I closed one time will open up again I'll be back in the high life again All the eyes that watched me once will smile and take me in And I'll drink and dance with one hand free Let the world back into me And on I'll be a sight to see Back in the high life again You used to be the best To make life be life to me And I hope that you're still out there And you're like you used to be We'll have ourselves a time And we'll dance 'til the morning sun And we'll let the good times come in And we won't stop 'til we're done We'll be back in the high life again All the doors I closed one time will open up again We'll be back in the high life again All the eyes that watched us once will smile and take us in And we'll drink and dance with one hand free And have the world so easily And oh we'll be a sight to see Back in the high life again We'll be back in the high life again All the doors I closed one time will open up again We'll be back in the high life again All the eyes that watched us once will smile and take us in And we'll drink and dance with one hand free And have the world so easily And oh we'll be a sight to see Back in the high life again
  6. I am waiting for the comparison of Daley stealing the Presidential election for Kennedy.

I shared Bulls season tickets during the first three championships, and that was sweet. But the NBA is far more evenly competitive and it was kind of expected. As a Sox fan, I had long ago resigned myself to the possibility of never being in the WS during my lifetime.
  8. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 10:19 AM) I f***ed up my ankle (again). I broke it several years ago and seem to sprain it to hell every few years. Now I have to wear some stupid air cast for a week. Ouch. Stuck in bed for a few days? I hope you feel better soon.
  9. Three moments defining me being a Sox fan. About 7 years old watching the Sox on a little B&W TV, trying to pull in the game through all the "snow" on the screen. Two; playing traveling ball and everyone was a Cub fan. I had to be different. Third moment: 1977 Southside Hit Men. 16 years old. Driver's License. I would say this was when I really became a fan. My early games were all at Wrigley and I still think walking up the ramps into the sushine, seeing the Veeck planted ivy, and seeing the players, is something special. I hope they never tear down the shrine to failure. Presently living in Northern Mexico / South Texas. Sometimes I can't tell which.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) Buy the kid a "real" Sox cap! I like having a Bo Sox and Yankee fan around. They were trash talking about the upcoming ALCS and how they were going to beat the other team. LMAO.

With 1st base open last night, I have no idea why they gave him anything to hit. But thank you! I've been arguing since the all-star break that Kong will get a $60 / 6yr from somebody. I may have been low.
  13. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 3, 2005 -> 03:17 AM) Those brought tears to my eyes. Thanks Guys! Damn. I love my White Sox!!!!! Three times and I still haven't seen every part of RV's. Each time a different spot brings tears to my eyes. So much has happened this season that seem like so long ago. Voting Pods onto the All-Star game, walk offs, the amazing lead streak, WOW.

  16. If you could know now what will kill you, would you take the test? Many people would not. I can understand him not taking the test. Plus at that point, if he takes the test he loses a freedom and liberty we take for granted, a choice in careers.

I really think the guys were thinking playoffs all through September and were so ready for this. Talk about turning it on!
  18. Anyone else remember the sirens being tested every month?
  19. QUOTE(MinnySoxFan @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 12:18 AM) So the last time a team had 3 pitchers throw complete games in a row was the '73 Mets and the last pitcher was Jerry Koosman, who may dad, who is a huge Sox fan, baptized a long time ago. Some would say this has nothing to do with the Rally Crede. I would say they're a fool.
