QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 06:04 PM) I have it, I need to be meaner. But, I did get to Polka with an 80 year old at the Ukrainian fest! Top that! Now he can die, he has climbed the mountain and seen the promised land.- POD's Girlfriend
And he got her while living in Milwaukee!? How the hell did he do that? Milwaukee?!- Was today a tradebait lineup?
Tis the season. Gives Kenny something to talk about at the Al-Star game. Note to Kenny: Be really certain of the names.- Evan Bayh sounding Presidential
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 05:21 AM) Guiliani - McCain would be my dream ticket. They'd win by no less than 15% McCain isn't playing for second place or he would be the current VP and Kerry would be in the White House. Guiliani isn't going to win the nomination and IMHO isn't even a top 5 GOP potential. His star has faded and there will be too much War on Terror hangover. People will want to get past 9/11 not wallow in it.- Catch-All Anything Thread
I was driving by the University and a small sign tucked in among other signs caught my eyes. Chicago Dogs Perfect Chicago style dogs. They don't ask if I want mayonnaise (!) or ketchup. The guy that owns the place is from Chicago. His main cook is a Cub fan and they have way to much customer donated Cub stuff, but the dogs are great.- TRADE THREAD II ~ July 2 - July 8
TRADE THREAD III is open for business. If it's a new proposal, please take it there.- TRADE THREAD III ~July 9 - July 15
Dreamers and Schemers Whispers and Shouts Fords and Billy Beemers Grins and Pouts- Harris thinks he should play everyday.
BTW, I don't want anyone on the bench who doesn't think they should be playing more. I just hope Ozzie doesn't agree with this.- Thanks to Hawk & DJ
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) A big huge welcome to all of our new posters... We have had like 25 sign ups since Wednesday. WOW. Gross or Net?- Harris thinks he should play everyday.

QUOTE(Jimenez4MVP @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) I hope they dont try to use him as a pinch runner.. I know that may sound crazy, but you know the NL will KNOW he is going to attempt a steal and I dont want to see him get thrown out.. The world knows he's going to steal. Yet he continues to outrun 'em. Put him in a later inning and let him run. Hell, tell the other team he's running and dare them to throw him out.- Catch-All Anything Thread

Best of luck to you out there. I assume you have a nice coleman camp stove to heat the water for your MREs? BTW, one of my favorite ways to rehydrate those meals is with a Reynolds Turkey Bag. Put an inch or two of water in a pot. Put the meal and water in the turkey bag, mix well and add to pot. Boil as directed. Makes cleanup a snap.- Preserving Memories
QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 09:35 AM) Every game I go to I collect some hair from the best player of that game. By the end of season I will have my full-size White Sox "hair" player to keep me warm at night. LMAO, You have got to post more often.- Gammons
QUOTE(OilCan @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 10:22 AM) Shiner Bock to ya my new friend! LMFAO. I think we have another Texan in da house- Bandwagon Fans
I think bandwagon jumper is a misnomer. There are people who attend a couple games a year. They aren't Cub or Sox fans. They go to the event that seems like the most fun. The casual fan. Up until this season they went to Wrigley. For many different reasons. IMHO there are probably as many good, knowledgeable, "die hard" Cub fans as Sox fans. There are an equally similar number of obnoxious fans of both teams. Where we have lost the marketing and turnstile battle is the "do you want to see a movie?" No. Well how about a baseball game? which team is in town? Sox. What's playing at the Cineplex? Now hopefully they say, sure, sounds like fun, the place should be going crazy. Now there are some fans that will go overboard and really embrace the team. They'll be cramming to learn about Sox history, etc. Again, plenty of room. I for one would love to see this become a Sox town and push the Cubs off the front page. NY=Yankees LA=Dodgers Chi=Cubs (for now)- Evan Bayh sounding Presidential
McCain - Lieberman McCain - Hagel Edwards - Napolitano My early wish list. Probably in that order.- Actors who are Under Rated
The family Sutherland. Donald and Kiefer.- Preserving Memories
Already this is a special season. I wonder what y'all are doing, if anything, to preserve some memories. I'm hearing some saved games, newspapers, etc.- Quack, quack.. part 2.
BTW, do I get partial credit for a post of the month?- IF you were on the sox
