  1. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 07:38 PM) I believe that most agreed that the price for Schmidt would be Contreras, BMac, and a prospect. That's pretty expensive for a guy that you're unsure if he'll be with you next year and if he can be healthy. Pass on Lieter. I'm not all that excited about a back of the rotation guy. IMHO we have what we need to reach the playoffs already on staff, and with our 9 game lead. We will not use a #5 and probably not even a #4 in the playoffs. So why upset the apple cart for a #5? And just to add, BMac, IMHO, is a prospect. A very good one, but until he plays a full season with the 25 man roster, he's a prospect. I agree on your analysis of Schmidt.

  4. Yeah. So far every stupid move Kenny and Ozzie have made has worked out. Why not this one? BTW, it wasn't until this article I noticed all our All-Stars are white. So maybe Gload could be their translator. It would be so cool if we could create a Timo Harris. The incredible sucking vortex of that would consume light like a black hole. And one final thought. This team is living on chemistry as much as talent. Perhaps management knows a few things here that would have this make sense. It isn't necessarily having the best 25 out of 25. Maybe having the best 25 out of 30 and having teamwork excel is making a difference.

  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) We had a boy named picked out, so you know what that means... 80% chance of a girl according to the ultrasound. You know what, let's not talk about your baby in this sick thread. Could you split out these posts? I'm still new at that. BTW, if it's girl, maybe she can grow a penis* *See Woman Grows Penis Thread

  16. Bachelor party #1 was 2 weeks before the wedding with a huge group of friends and relatives and of course we hit a Sox game. Bachelor party #2 was 1 week before and a smaller crowd of my closest friends. It was decidedly wilder than the first. Bachelor party #3 was after the rehearsal dinner and basically just a poker game and a run to a couple bars where I use to work.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) I can't believe how many sick f***s there are in the world. Notice they are almost always guys I couldn't imagine how difficult dating is for women and gay men.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) How sad. It is always worse when the victim is a defenseless child. He wouldn't have been defenseless if he learned those lessons from dad :headshake Why is it harder to own a gun than conceive a child? There must be a special place in hell for people like this, and a special place in heaven for the baby. I am certain the boy is receiving the love he should have gotten on this earth.
