term limits for moderators?
I think it is a great idea. I have mentioned it through the various channels. I also wanted to start a guest moderator program to allow some people who are busy to jump in for a month or so and put their touch on a given forum. I have been involved in many real world projects and organizations that run on volunteer labor. The fairest way for the organization and volunteer is a time limit on their involvement. It makes it easy for both parties to exit without hurt feelings.

When will it be over? Election 2004
There are GOP and DEM election judges following closely the main voting on Tuesday. For the most part, our elections are basically honest, with occassional corruption and illegal activities. On the national scale, I do not see someone being able to steal an election.

Point. Set. Match.
IIRC the experts were saying Iraq had no WMD, it was the White House who used admittedly faulty and not fully verified information to sell the nation on this war.

He's the Commander in Chief and has stated in many election speeches that he is the best man to run the military. We keep hearing how the military was in chambles during the Clinton era, low moral, under funded, poor disciplin. I wonder how long that takes to change? If prison abuse, sham medals, unlimited budgets, and poor decisions are what makes our military happy, we have big problems there.

When will it be over? Election 2004
Dammit now I have this song stuck in my head It's a nasty mix of Stevie Nix/Fleetwood Mac and Natalie from the Dixie Chicks singing and they morph into Bush in a dress

All this coughing, I thought I was in the emphysema ward cough whatboyswant cough- As If We Didn't Already Realize This.....
Let me put this into persepective as an out of towner. I went into the local Lids store and picked up a new Sox cap. They had one choice and 6 in stock. In the previous 8 months the manager told me they sold 3 Sox caps and "dozens and dozens" of Cub caps. Check MLB merchandizing sales and with the exception of the years when "black was hip, gangster style" the Sox are never near the top. We do not have the fan base of the Cubs, Giants, Red Sox, etc.- Clemens: I'm '99-percent retired'
Spoken like a Sox fan. Losing in the LCS is "on top" Since he began pitching closer to home for me, I have found a new respect for the man. Houston is the "home team" on my cable package and I did scan the starters and tried to see the games he was involved in. Guys like Clemans and Randy Johnson are redefining the length of a pro athletes career.- Terror warning on Drudge
When ever I see President George W. Bush on TV, I picture him in a dress and red hair.- Eclipse

That is one of the reasons his site has received high marks for being balanced and fair. No editoralizing, just links and an occassional story. Even Dems like it.- GOP Criticial of Student Vote Campaign
And the GOP is complaining I'm certain they are fair and balanced- GOP Criticial of Student Vote Campaign
So the campaigns shouldn't have voter registration drives? Would you also think it is wrong for individuals to urge their friends to register and vote a certain way? Is the problem only when it involves organizations and strangers? People can receive rides to the poll, one group in Iraq is making certain the GIs get their absentee ballots in on time, that is a Republican led effort, is that wrong. That is more than just registering, that's actually getting the ballots.- Cardboard boats
Think smooth with the paddling. The teams that put as little stress on their boats as possible seem to do better.- GOPers, Connect the dots for me
He specifically stated he knew them all, and they were all earning over $200,000. And if the Bush tax cuts were not made permanent, unemployment would increase and cripple his city.- Terror warning on Drudge
IMHO and I even hate the think about it, an election eve terrorist attack would mean the election for Bush. We always rally around the President. That's why Bush hasn't caught Binny Laden- GOP Criticial of Student Vote Campaign
If the school told the GOP they couldn't register anyone unless a DEM group also agreed, would that be better? The parties sponsor almost all the voter registration drives. As long as a school gives equal access, I don't see a problem. Pan-Am has a very vocal, active Young Republicans club and no Democratic Organization. I would not be in favor of kicking them off campus until a Dem group forms. If the parties had no incentive to register people, they wouldn't do it. A bigger problem is the early voting and absentee voting. As I mentioned in another thread, the local GOP campaign came to my door and offered to help me with an absentee ballot, then offered a ride to the polls when I said I would vote on election day. SHould we require a DEM and a GOPer travel with any get to the polls campaign?- Terror warning on Drudge
So it could be a nut job without access to weapons or it could be a nut job with access to weapons I feel so much better- Terror warning on Drudge
If they sent it to the CIA, it would never be aired. Ashcroft would wave the orange flag or red flag or whatever damn color is next and sterilize the threat. Terrorists rely on terror. Home movies of beheadings work, 150 page manifestos don't. Contacting ABC works, contacting the CIA doesn't. It is times like these I wish the Soviets still had some cash. With all their nuklure materials in rusty storage sheds guarded 40 hours a week, I'm most worried about an atomic explosion. The holy grail of terror.- Skyway leased out for $1.82 billion
You have to love a government united to do what is best for the citizens- Terror warning on Drudge
If you were the head of ABC News what would you do with the tape? Air it and risk getting slammed by the GOP talking heads about liberal media bias trying to destroy Bush's chances? Don't air it and not warn the American public? Imagine if they didn't and another 9/11 event happened. They would be lynched.- Terror warning on Drudge
Both parties have strategies for what if scenarios. What if Bin Laden is confirmed dead or captured. (both parties have plans, both parties have layed out forshadowing. I will guarandamntee the Dems will say we Told You! Dubya was hiding him until the election and the GOP will tell you how well the fight on terrorism is going. What is a terrorist attacks happens GOP: See this is no time to switch jockeys we're being attacked, again. DEM: See we are losing this war, we need a new jockey. You name it, political strategiest have contingency plans for whatever. From now until Wednesday, if anything happens around terrorists we'll see so much spin-counterspin the planet may stop revolving. - Say it ain't so!
