  8. It's a big year for him. Another down year and his career may never get back on track. I hope he has a good April and builds from there. We have four or five players that could post very big gains over last year; Kong is at the head of the list but Mark, Koch, Crede, and Olivo could all blow away last season. If 3 of them do, we will have a very nice season.

We need to remember that most of the price of gas we pay is taxes. In many states more than half the price at the pump is taxes for roads, etc. I heard that 10 years ago Kerry is quoted as saying he would agree to a .50 per gallon tax for road and infrastructure. The bill never came to a vote. I thought it was a little unfair to take 2004 gas prices, add .50 and say that Kerry was in favor of those prices. I am also trying to figure out what the public opinion statute of limitations should be on views. 10 years ago I was much more conservative than I am now. If someone trotted out some of my comments then, I would not agree with them. I am thinking of Pickering in that statement. We are pulling quotes from apers he did in college 40+ years ago. That seems a little excessive. ALso things I have done in one position, I might not do in another.

I agree with your view of the problem. However, could you imagine the gridlock trying to reach a majority in a three party system? Could you imagine the deal making to get X passed? We would be adding Y and Z to everything.
  13. The Edinburg Roadrunners; Best team I can see live in a regular basis. UTPA Broncs; Good college team with a strong early season schedule Houston Astros; The most coverage on local tv and radio. Listening to Milo Hamilton is a but spooky. I'll admit it, if the Cubs were somehow to win a WS *after* the Sox, I would not feel too bad. If they do it first, it's a nightmare. I only developed this attitude after being 1,600 miles away and do not live, work, play, and drink around Cub fans. This statement is void north of St Louis.
  14. It could be some of his fellow patients at the mental health facility where he resides. I am certain his close personal friends Frank Thomas, Eddie Einhorn, and JR will ride to his rescue

  20. I think it has gone downhill a bit in the past year. It is streamlined and not nearly as much content as there use to be. Stilll, some wicked stuff
  21. Looking at flip flops on issues, isn't that inherit with liberals and maybe not a negative thing. Conservatives tend to want things to stay the same, hold traditional values and ideals. Liberals will want to tinker, try new things, never satisfied with the current, but looking for ways to make it better. In a changing world, we need both.
  22. I here that most of the guys are teases and won't let you get past second base, at least not on the first date. Maybe we could ask Steff
