  1. With all the scripts and hints that have been worked the past couple of days it would be nice if Frank lightened up on the fairness of internet voting Now I need to go back and fulfull my 5,000 vote quota
  2. Don't let them kid you. A small group of secret moderators and others vote based on your posts. If your posts are intelligent, well thought out, timely, and show the proper decorum you move up. If they are inarticulate, me too, lol and other simple drivel it takes longer. Don't worry, they are watching and reading. You may wish to try a comparison/contrast piece on Koch and Konerko struggles. The melodrama of a hitter and pitcher struggling to regain major league form. I'm certain the voting panel will appreciate that.
  3. I thought Malone was checking out the Lakers after Payton signed. I didn't realize he had decided on baseball like Jordan?
  4. Every once in a while, and always on the contest board, when I start a new topic it will just cycle and post the same topic over and over again until I exit. I'm using Netscape 7.1, is it a flaw with the board, my browser, or user error?
  5. How about a AB for the Flush Contest. Instead of hitting for the cycle pick the next Sox batter to really flush it; Strike Out Fly Out Ground Out Double Play Could be the Devil Rays and first game at Detroit that has me going. If it's going to hurt at least let it hurt so good Enter once, no need for a new pick each game.
  6. This got me to wondering, who was the last Sox player to hit for the cycle? Hell has anybody had 4 hits in one game this year? How about a new hit for the cycle; Strike out Ground out Fly out Double play Probably too f***ing easy for these guys. 1-2 vs. Detroit. Losing a Series to the Devil Rays. Damn, am I being a bit negative this morning? And this is after the second cup of coffee.
  7. mlb has a report that Halladay may not play. If that's the case it's a very easy decision who starts. I know some of you think it already was an easy decision
  8. Yes, to match the f***ing black cloud that's been hanging over it . . .
  9. It's the Indians. They would win a AAA Championship, but it's not like their bringing him up to face the Mariners or Yankees. How about Billy Botch to start. Wouldn't it be an amazing story if Botch was a Eckersly in reverse? Struggling reliever becomes a 20 game winner as a starter. Ahh I can dream, I am a Sox fan.
  10. Looking at Halladay's record and ERA, I wouldn't have a big b**** if he starts. If the game was being played at a neutral site I could see him getting the start. But, Since the game is in Chicago I think having someone on the mound who is comfortable there, familiar, etc. should give him the edge over Halladay. Because "This time it counts"
  11. I'm not sure my votes are counting. I don't see the validation code going in. I'm worried I'm just cycling in my cache. Is there any way to tell?
  12. Funny thing is she's been in the US for like 2 weeks, this is her first job, and my buddy hadn't planned on her being here this week. Then he thought "what the hell I can teach her some computer skills". She's really quick with the mouse and entering numbers. I tried to get my buddy that owns the temp agency to begin testing by how fast they can enter a validation code and click on Frank's name He declined.
  13. That's how I remember the names. I wonder if/where there's a Veeck Field. You know somewhere a bunch of kids are running around on one . . .
  14. I'm from Chicago, I only voted once. It would be wrong to have voted over 100 times and had a temp vote for most of a 6 hour shift.
  15. Gee we need another outfielder At least he bats left. Please don't let Kenny know about him . . .

    Kobe Bryant arrested

Following in the footsteps of James Worthy who was busted with two hookers in Texas. Seems the cops had just busted the service and Lucky Jimmy calls in and places his order Guess he was surprised when the undercover cops arrived I'm always a little suspicious when a hooker claims a crime against a famous person. If it is true, he just bought the most expensive date he's ever had. Goodbye Nike, Goodbye Sprite. Or should I say Caio?
  17. I went to MLB.com the info "sticks" so all you have to do is click on Frank and type in the matching number. Your email addy. etc. stays.
  18. I was over there as well and read that LOL. I was there to see what was being said about voting for Frank before I started voting Corey. Overall most of their fans were voting for all the Chicago boys. I assume they will be slacking off now that Corey isn't on the ballot.

    Goodbye

    God Bless, Good Luck,
  21. That sucks for a couple reasons * Corey seems like a good guy. * Hate to see that happen to someone * Gives the Cubs another excuse for losing * May stop the good Cub fans for voting for Frank while they voted for Corey Fortunately the surgery has come a long way. He should be able to recover and hopefully be ready for ST.
  22. It seems that Corey would not be available to play if selected. I imagine the NL manager may have a say it that Nice they took him off the board.
