  1. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 07:32 PM) As much as I despised Bush as a President, I don't think he did either of those things. Torture or not torture has shades of gray, Bush's line was in a place not the same as me, but I think he was talked into it because he didn't have the balls to go against the hawks he chose to surround himself with. Cheney, who was more intimately involved in that end of things, MAYBE you talk about that. Maybe,. I agree. Plus, it is really hard to imagine our leadership as war criminals. I am not saying it could not happen, just saying it is hard to imagine.
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 02:16 PM) Awesome site: http://thereifixedit.com/ awesome.
  3. QUOTE (DanksFan @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 04:36 PM) Nice of you to edit my post with words like p****, b**** and douche bag. I'm sure you would have preferred if I used some actual derogatory words that I won't even say here. Grow some skin. Oh yeah and you missed one here dude. You are welcome. Saved you a suspension. You may not know this but we have adults and women who read these threads, people who log on while at work.
  4. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 22, 2009 -> 03:18 PM) While working at a pizza restaurant: "How big is your 16" pizza?" Even better, how many slices?
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 03:59 PM) AH... Well, now it makes sense. So non-married women and gay men.
  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 03:55 PM) No I got it, I own the album (Joshua Tree I think), but also took the opportunity to clarify. IIRC the administration did talk quite a bit about those WMD prior to the war.
  7. QUOTE (DanksFan @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) And I do reserve the right to call the players who don't want to play for Ozzie This post has been edited by the Soxtalk staff to remove objectionable material. Thank you. Fine, but you won't call them that here. Try to use your adult, public vocabulary.
  8. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 03:52 PM) iirc, it was something his accountant should have caught but didn't. he was supposed to file returns in like 20 different states where he had earned money (on speaking gigs, etc.) over the span of a few years. AKA The Michael Jordan Tax.
  9. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 02:27 PM) That was never the prime motivation for the war, despite their claims otherwise. I guess the reference was too obscure.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 02:14 PM) Funny that he was all up in arms during the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal. Of course, he wasn't getting any until Clinton left Washington. It was like following Bartolo Colon through a buffet
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 03:30 PM) In that case, frankly, I have no issues with how former Senator Coleman handled himself in this election contest. His people may not have made the best arguments, but he had his day in court and is willing to accept the decision. That speaks better of him than I thought his actions would. I agree. It does suck to be him. He has to be banging his head into the wall saying "I lost to him??"
  12. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 02:04 PM) He's good enough, he's smart enough, and doggonit, people like him.

Workin' the three-way governor, nicely played, and he even received his wife's permission. Wow. I like the toss in Church angle.
  14. QUOTE (DanksFan @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 01:58 PM) Sounds to me like the players polled are a bunch of pussies. Why is everyone so scared of Ozzie??? Because he's not afraid to tell you when you play like horse s***? What a bunch of thin skinned little girls... Could it be his brilliance is using the bullpen? Could it be benching players for seemingly factors other than on the field? Read a few game threads and see how often fans question some of the s***, then be a guy on the bench. I'm not certain it is "being a p****", but it seems you share his enlightened attitudes about men, women, and sexuality.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 01:54 PM) It is his millennium. I'm guessing there is a big part of his career I am not familiar with.
  16. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 01:35 PM) ahh, first time I read this I thought they were flying Bono's aircraft. I was thinking about the WMD and thinking, they still haven't found what they're looking for.
  17. QUOTE (RibbieRubarb @ Jun 16, 2009 -> 11:01 AM) So???????? Did they find Texsox's brain or not??? Tom Hanks used it for one of his movies and never gave it back.
  18. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 12:12 PM) I cannot wait to see that footage. If you synch it to Dark Side of the Moon, the effect is really freaky
  19. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 01:45 PM) I dont ignore you dude. You just made me uncomfortable with your obscene posts, thats all. Who are you talking to?
  20. I'd hate playing for those guys.
  21. QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 30, 2009 -> 01:34 PM) Just like I do with popsicles. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,529576,00.html I think this may have been posted before, I have so many on ignore though, it may have been some other site.
  22. I usually support Dem candidates, but I keep thinking Al Franken?? WTF?? I think I would have preferred they keep counting . . .
  23. -- Michael Jackson's body will be taken to Neverland Ranch in California for a public viewing on Friday, CNN has learned.

QUOTE (SnB @ Jun 16, 2009 -> 08:36 PM) so quick question. Are there programs that just give the certificate? I was under the impression you either have to get another bachelors or get a masters. Here in Texas there are Alternative Certification Programs. Basically a B.A. or B.S. will qualify you. From there you take their classes and pass the state tests. Check the No Child Left behind Act, basically 24 hours total in a subject, with 12 hours advanced will designate you as highly qualified. http://www.teach-now.org/ May be what you are looking for. Bi-lingual math and science is in high demand, followed by math and science. If you want to coach, things get really interesting. Many coaching jobs are linked with specific teaching assignments. For example, the assistant volleyball coach that is leaving taught history, so the replacement will probably have to teach history as well.
