  1. I personally won’t be impressed until the Sox start winning games they lose.
  2. Well, that’s definitely the anger I’m talking about. Anyway, seems like the poster was choosing to comment generally on what he sees as a trend of over-the-top criticism of TLR rather than the specific rule screwup, which is...not really that unusual, even if I disagree with it (which I do as someone who has increasing levels of concern about TLR, though also a generous dose of humility that will allow me to reconsider if the results are sufficiently good). My point is also addressed to general trends on this board rather than a specific incident or argument.
  3. I don’t agree with many of the specific opinions of the two super-positive posters being attacked here, but I find them a welcome counterweight to the equally extreme negative posters who outnumber them 10-to-1. I’m surprised there aren’t more like them given that, objectively speaking, the team has given fans more to be excited about in 2021 than at almost any time in franchise history. And I don’t understand why they seem to touch such a raw nerve here.
  4. Seems like everything is lined up for us to bury them...which means it likely won’t happen. That’s ok. I really hope Cease 2.0 shows up to the first game. If he does, 2/3 seems realistic.
  5. That’s a rock solid lineup we just dominated. If this pitching staff stays anywhere close to this pace we’ll be tough to beat.
  6. So sick of beating the Royals. It’s like 2020 all over again—beating up on the Royals, who are clearly a garbage team if we’re beating them so badly. Here we go again
  7. We’ve given up two runs in the last four games. Wow. if we keep pounding the Royals like this Soxtalk might need to...well, discount every win against the Royals since they’re a team we’re beating up on. But I’m enjoying being at the top of mlb in every statistical category. Keep it rolling, injuries be damned.
  8. You probably shouldn’t police the reactions of people who manage *not* to say ridiculous things during game threads, either. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the bitchin’.
  9. Despite the drama, that was an impressive series of at-bats and some nasty stuff from Hendriks. One run in three games. Wow
  10. I've heard from a few sources that Bochy (my top choice by a mile over cheater Hinch and [insert criticism] TLR] was #2.
  11. Bernstein is absolutely lambasting LaRussa on the Score right now; talking about our "issue" getting national run now, and being the buzz of the baseball world. I was one of those who was resigned to LaRussa (though he was far from my first choice) and excited that he would at least be an improvement over Ricky. I've officially flipped. And the worst part about it, as Bernstein pointed out, is that there's no recourse. It's depressing. I just hope the negativity surrounding this legitimately bad situation doesn't completely derail this still-promising team.
  12. Don’t tempt fate. Final Destination Sox edition
  13. You’re taking this all way too seriously. I made a quick off-the -cuff joke that anyone laughing at a post saying “I’m sad that Luis Robert is seriously injured” is a sociopath. I’m really not interested in getting into an extended dialogue about the laugh emoji as a general matter, or feeding anyone’s agenda about their posts getting laughed at too much. Moving on.
  14. It wasn’t my post. Dear god, I wouldn’t whine about my own post’s treatment, that would be annoying.
  15. I don’t mind that sometimes as there are some posters here who deserve it, but hard to imagine what’s laughable about “I’m really sad, LR had amazing potential and is now at risk for long term injury, I hope he’s OK, best wishes for recovery.” Regular laugh riot there.
  16. Can I just ask who are the two sociopaths who slapped a “haha” emoji on this post? Genuinely curious.
  17. Most loaded Sox team ever turns out to be good...imagine that. All without Garrett Richards
  18. Maybe because the best pitcher in baseball was pitching? Jesus
  19. Whoa. Wouldn’t it be something if he’s something.
