Paulie and corpse ball
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 19, 2005 -> 01:36 PM) Am I the only one who thinks what he said was not horrible? No it's not. Like teams don't know he's a pull hitter. I think people are forgetting that during the past week he moved a runner over by hitting the ball the other way and has done that a lot in his career as a Sox hitter.

All Star Team
QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 9, 2005 -> 08:37 AM) IT's still way too early to talk about the all-star game. Talk to me in Mid-June. I agree but you can vote online now and at the ballpark so the popular Yankees and Red Sox will have all the starters this year!

ON CALL - Brandon McCarthy
The Sox have an off day on Thursday and next Monday so why wouldn't you just pitch El Duque on Friday, Garland on Saturday and Buehrle on Sunday? Each guy would have his normal 4 days between starts. Makes more sense to me.

Awful Experience at Sox Park (Cellular Field)
I have a big peeve about people wanting to get to their seats while they are singing the national anthem. Wait until they are done singing before walking in front of people. A simple "excuse me" also works wonders for me when leaving or coming back in the row.

Big Ten Tournment Tickets
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Feb 1, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) Hey fellas, Not being able to touch an Illini game ticket down here at school, my folks and I are looking for Big Ten Tourny tickets back at home. Do any you of U of I guys, or anyone else for that matter, have a lead on tickets or know where to check? Ideally, I'd love to pay face value, but if we have to overpay, so be it. Thanks everyone! I was just on Ticketmaster.com and there are tickets available for both Friday sessions. Tickets are up in the 300 level though.

Illinois/Wisconson predictions
I rather lose the game in the Big Ten Tournament because by them the Seeds are pretty much determined by that Saturday anyways!

Illinois/Wisconson predictions
I don't use fouls as an excuse when my team loses but I want the ref's to be fair, when Augustine or Powell go up for a basket and are knocked to the ground and no foul is called then I don't want to see Powell getting fouls called against him when he touches a guy. That's all I want, the call to be the same on both teams!~

Illinois/Wisconson predictions
Wisconsin had 2 fouls in the first half and Illinois had 9 so who had the advantage?

Willie's singing of "Take me out to the Ballgame" this afternoon was pretty special, he should keep his day job!

concern about KW
KW signed Konerko, Lee, Koch, Buherle, Garcia, to those contracts. Frank was previous to KW and I don't know if he did the Maggs contract or not. So I don't think that KW was saddled with lots of high paid talent, he did it to himself.

Garland in Relief?
Did Ozzie give any reason why Valdez makes his first start at 2nd base instead of shortstop where he has been playing all year? Sometimes I think Jerry Manuel is still managing!

Bears Game parking..
My Dad has season tickets and parks at the 31st street/ McCormick lot. There is a shuttle to the stadium.

Girls Soccer Team
Maybe you should watch the women's team ( Soccer, Softball and basketball) Those are actaul teams that play the game right, execute and win!

8/26 Maggs a "risk"
I could see a team like the Yankees or Braqves with a deep payroll taking a chance on Ordonez. The Yankees paid Jon Leiber to rehab for a year.

White Sox Send Cliff Lee Into Downward Spiral
Well I have had better luck with hitters, I drafted Carlos Guillen and Mark Loretta late in my draft, someone dropped David Ortiz so I grabbed him and I got Pujols with my first pick but I also had Frank, Maggs and Troy Glaus. To think that I am in 4th place out of 8 isn't too bad

White Sox Send Cliff Lee Into Downward Spiral
Well I picked him up on my fantasy team for that start against the Sox hoping that he would lose because I have had the worst luck with starters this year. I drafted Hudson, Zito, Andy Pettitte, Russ Ortiz, Sidney Ponson and Ben Sheets. Pettitte and Hudson on the DL, I dropped Ortiz and then he went on a winning streak, Ponson and Zito have not been good this year. I did however pick up Freddy Garcia when I dropped Russ Ortiz so that makes up for it.

a ray of hope
Oakland A's were 4.5 games behind Texas a week ago and are now 1.5 games ahead of them. With All-star Tim Hudson out and a not very good bullpen. Anything is possible in baseball!

Wildcard anyone?
Mulder is decent this year? Ha Ha, Have you looked at his numbers, 12-2 with a 3 era, he has 2 or 3 complete games, hasn't lost a start since april. These numbers are better than the last 2 seasons. I would take him over all of our starters right now!

Alomar gets call in Garcia's Sox debut
Freddy has number 34

A realistic view of where we may be
The Sox play Anaheim and Seattle at home after the 4th of July and niether one of those teams are playing that well right now.

KOCH TRADED!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw it on Yahoo sports page, Sox are giving cash considerations to the Marlins, doesn't say how much.

5th Starter blues, Another Factor
I did a little research on run support for our starters. Mark B had 87 runs scored in his 11 starts for an average of 7.90 runs per game Jon G had 59 runs scored in his 10 starts for an average of 5.90 runs per game Scott S had 57 runs scored in his 10 starts for an average of 5.70 runs per game ELo had 50 runs scored in his 10 starts for an average of 5.00 runs per game 5th starter had 20 runs scored in their 8 starts for an average of 2.5 runs per game In fact Danny Wright lost 5-4 to the Yankees, 3-0 and 4-1 to Tampa, so Danny actually kept us in 3 of his 4 starts.
