  1. I can't believe the hysteria over this. Apple will get better at the map world, it's not good now but almost no software is really that good on the first release. If Apple is still struggling with this 2 years down the road, while blocking Google Map apps still, then I'd be concerned. Otherwise, chill the f*** out and go enjoy your own phone.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 03:09 PM) Bring back Ozzie Why would you open it....whyyyyyyy!?!?

    QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 25, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) Revolution is looking more and more like Jericho part II every day. Jericho had better acting, mainly because they didn't rely on teenage actors so much. Whenever Charlie talks I cringe, it's so forced/fake. That said, I like the storyline so far, so I'll keep with it for now.
  4. You can feel bad for those families when those husbands/fathers start having terrible medical issues from taking your supplements you prick.

    QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 24, 2012 -> 04:55 PM) Has anyone here interviewed with Google for a software developer position before? I'm intrigued at what kind of questions they ask (stupid brain teasers, or actual programming knowledge?). From the little I heard, it was more actual programming knowledge, but I didn't get much details from the person I know that got a job there in software development.
  6. Not looking good for the Illini, this was just a bad set up for us.
  7. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 03:22 PM) Hard for me to agree Kenny being "let go" would be on the table considering where he currently has the Club... Well there was that one leak or story where KW admitted that he talked to JR about his future with the club and whether he should still be with them.
  8. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 03:17 PM) KW refuses comment. Could mean absolutely anything. But I think we all know this is an eventuality, or they'd lose Hahn. I've actually thought that this was most likely all planned out prior to this season, and with all the Ozzie drama that JR wanted KW to be around for 1 more year in charge before handing off to Hahn. My guess is that KW is burnt out a bit from the job, and when he asked JR if he should be let go, that they came to a gentleman's agreement over this. Just my 2 cents.
  9. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 04:04 PM) I have never had a problem getting in to see my regular doc, or the ortho guy for my knee. Only time I had issues was when I went to see the podiatrist. That was like a month wait! And while the policy itself isn't the best, I have Aetna and have not had any issues with them disputing or not paying. I have Aetna as well now, really wish I could go back to Blue Cross Blue Shield as they have been amazing to my family, but at my employer it is Aetna or United (who wouldn't even pay for my mom's diabetes medicine after claiming they would and then fighting with her for weeks). Hoping when I have issues in the future that they are fine to deal with.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 03:54 PM) I've never seen anything like the current situation in our country regarding the medical profession. I've never had my insurance company OK all the costs regarding a trip to the doctor or dentist. They always dispute something that I have to pay. And as far as getting in to see the doctor? It's ridiculous. You can't get in and basically the attitude is they could give a s*** about the patient. I guess I have to keep looking to find a doctor who actually cares. Do any?? Maybe some of you are having good luck with doctors and your insurance companies. I'm not. I've had 4 general doctors in my life, 2 of them have been fantastic, 1 was competent, and the last was the epitome of s***ty (but it was in Michigan, so that doesn't count). The ones I didn't like didn't last long as my doctor, the two I've loved lasted for about 14 years and 5 years respectively (still ongoing with the 5 year doctor). All of the specialists I have been to have been also fantastic, including my orthopedist who did just an amazing job on an ACL replacement. The overall competency/care from doctors is not the issue in this country. It's the lawsuits for malpractice, insurance costs, and overall cost of procedures (which is result of previous said issues). My ACL surgery cost over $40k alone, not to mention doctor visits and 8 weeks of rehab. Luckily, out of pocket was probably less than $2k for my family.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 02:40 PM) I agree, someone should turn around and ask Rahm how he's going to improve the schools if he can't bargain fairly enough to keep them open. Wait, waht's that, it's only the union's fault when a strike starts, never anyone else's? Sorry, my bad. This is bulls*** and you clearly know it.
  12. QUOTE (Reddy @ Sep 18, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) hahaha yes of course i'm gonna vote for the guy who's helping me as opposed to the guy who's hurting me. i'm not sure why i should be vilified for that. i'm pretty sure that's how people SHOULD vote... lol Well, one can't get upset at rich republicans voting for representatives that pass along laws and taxes more favorable to them.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 17, 2012 -> 01:22 PM) Do you mean Kate Upton's breasts? WMD is actually the bra size.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 13, 2012 -> 01:30 PM) That goes to the fact that there is a seperate skill for test-taking itself. Being good at tests can get you an extra few points on these things, regardless of your knowledge of the subject matter. Yup, I consider myself slightly above average intelligence wise, first time I took the ACT I got a 24 (I was also worried about making varsity baseball as tryouts were at the same time). Then I took a class from a teacher who ran a little side business of helping students with standardized tests (from PRE-SAT to GMAT) and he did wonders in terms of my test taking skills. I wasn't rushing through answers, was pacing myself better, and knew more of the tricks that they put into those tests (which really have nothing to do with your intelligence), ended up scoring a 30 the next time.

    Goddamn, the SOA writers have it out for Unser so bad.
  16. 0-2, right on the plate, and never moved the bat. Terrible.
  17. Okay RV, this ones for you... f***KKKKKKK YOUUUUU
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 09:44 PM) He wasnt perfect, but he gave up 3 in 6 IP. Again, the offense fails to score. You cant expect to win games when you score two runs Exactly, the pitching has been shaky this game, but it doesn't matter when the offense has disappeared.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 09:42 PM) I wasn't at all angry until I saw Liriano on the mound. You lose 3-2, fine...but no need to put a guy that is too much of a risk to start into the game in the 8th down a run. That just defies all f***ing logic. Like I said, I get being upset over Liriano being out there. But you can't expect to win any game with just 2 runs.
  20. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 09:41 PM) Based on this we should of never ditched the last one. He won a world series you know. That makes no sense, not the statement, but the correlation.
  21. I get the angst over this inning, but you can't score 2 runs and expect to win a lot of games.
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 09:33 PM) What an awesome start for Liriano...hits a guy on the first pitch. Off a bounce...not even a real hit.
  23. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 06:30 PM) seriously though no cares if you like Zune, it's just fun to laugh at Microsoft failures, for me it is at least. Like that social network phone that they sold about 500 units of nationwide? BUT THAT PHONE WAS KOOL AND NOT AN IPHONE.
  24. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 06:28 PM) ??? Clearly he's f***ing with you, probably because it's so easy.
