Ended up buying a Ford Focus hatchback, with all the pkgs but the parking assist.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 11:34 PM) Right. You definitely mentioned this before. Oops! No worries! I do wish that I had been promoted to a director position at my company after 3 months of fulltime work

QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 11:32 AM) Congrats, Russ! I'm sure it was some kind of error and they will soon be on to their folly! J/K Thanks everyone! And Im sure they're already regretting the election results

QUOTE (farmteam @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 04:47 PM) Congrats! Is this one still based in LF? It's actually for my business fraternity, so it's a volunteer position on top of my normal career. I'm now in charge of 9 chapters throughout the midwest, very excited for the opportunity!

Got the central regional director position!
  6. In terms of tastes good, the chocolate was good but I tried that greenberry or whatever it is and that was awful.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 31, 2012 -> 10:18 AM) Smart phones have made taking a dump at work like a little mini work vacation. Kindle App is pretty much the greatest.

If you're looking for some work now, there are a few customer service, sales rep positions available at my company in the Chicago area, PM me if you're interested. Not glorious work, but it'll pay the bills and then some if you do well.
  9. Went to The Beer Market in Vernon Hills last night with some friends, what a selection! Got a Belgium Tripel on tap, it was good but not memorable enough to remember the name. Then I had this beer on tap as well, absolutely delicious. If I see that one again I'll definitely get it.

Suits has been great this season, definitely no let down from last season.
  11. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 01:20 PM) Too many insiders here to keep track of Bucket DocSox Rockraines Those 3 tend to be the best I've seen on here. Doc probably has had the most accurate of the 3.
  12. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 01:16 PM) correct grienke talks are dead You just made my day, thank you sir.
  13. When I studied abroad, there were a few Irish guys that were in the same program. We all went on a trip to Belgium for a weekend and I shared a hotel room with them, those guys were the rowdiest, scariest guys to get plastered with. They'd split a liter of vodka as a pregame, oh sorry predrink, then would go nuts at the bars. Very fun to drink with, but back in the room all they wanted to do was fight, and all I wanted to do was passout considering it was 6am and checkout was in 4 hours.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 12:13 PM) Ill be over there next week ironically enough. We just hired one of your ex-IT staff. I'll be out Wed-Fri, but if you're in before that at the building let me know, I'll come say hi. Hope he/she works out for you!
  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 12:07 PM) Ah ok, there are a few. One I am working on right now to help with federation to cloud and internal apps and I have many of the others as customers. One of the largest in the area is down in Peoria which allows me to see the "real" illinois We're the market leader in MRO, based out of Lake Forest.
  16. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 12:06 PM) Ahh...we use something called Airwatch and something called Junos Pulse to log into our VPN. I'm one of the first people to get a corporate iPhone so our IT department seems to be a bit lost. I've heard of Airwatch. We've had iPhones incorporated for a few years now, it's nice being at a company that really values IT and pushes these types of innovation because honestly it's what drives our sales force.
  17. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:59 AM) I dont know what MRO is though. I googled it and still dont know. Medical Records? Manufacturing, Repair, Operational
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:44 AM) Alot like what we do but we integrate with those two factor guys and dont require a VPN. Do you work for a big company here? Maybe you are a customer. I have about every large company in the midwest area under my umbrella. Yea I do, I'm sure you can guess it, large MRO distribution company.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) Hey Rock, what programs/apps do you guys use to implement iPhones and iPads into your company's email, calendars, intranet, etc? Or do you guys just use mostly Apple software to begin with? At my company we use RSA's iphone app to log in via VPN (we're switching vendors soon, most likely to Entrust). We have also built SAP apps that allow our sales reps to access SAP and pretty much order, sell, whatever they need to do for any of our customers through their phone. Our sales reps no longer carry around laptops, it's pretty cool.
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:22 AM) Reed, Santiago, and a prospect isn't getting Greinke. And that price is probably too high anyways, just say no KW.
  21. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:22 AM) Perfectly said. If there's a position we are stocked with in the minors, it is relief pitcher. Relief pitcher =/= closer.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:17 AM) I disagree that Greinke is the only one they are going after, in fact I believe they have multiple oars in the water. Damn I hope you're right, this Grienke business is killing me, if I'm giving up my future for a SP then it's one that doesn't have ANY questions about them.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:08 AM) BTW, Greinke had a 6.48 ERA in 3 postseason starts last year. Ugh, please KW, stop this fascination right meow.
  24. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:02 AM) I would give up Reed, but that's about the max. I don't value closers or relievers that highly. Which is fair, and I agree with that, but 5.5yrs of setup/closer for .5yr of top end starter is not equal.
