  1. What'd ya know, another throwing error my Teahen.
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 05:41 PM) I try to be nice about it as I have a great group of kids and I certainly don't want to make any of them feel bad. That being said, everyone gets a good amount of time no matter what, the only real difference in playing time is the top 3 players on my team play most of the 4th quarter where as some of the weaker kids will only play 2 or 3 minutes in said quarter. I understand that all parents would like to see their kids in at the end of games but just as they think it's unfair that they don't play at the end of the 4th, it'd be just as unfair to my better kids if we weren't trying to win games. Can't do much more than that. And there can only be 5 players on a court at a time, someone has to sit.
  3. QUOTE (G&T @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 05:33 PM) I think that happens a lot actually. I think that's sad. But then again I grew up in a household where if I did bad in a class it was because I didn't do enough to prepare for it. Also, my parents would tell some teachers to make their class more rigorous lol.
  4. Enjoying a Westmalle Trappist Dubbel, and it is veryyy good. I'll have to try the Tripel someday, that has 9.5% alc. The dubbel is 7%.
  5. QUOTE (almagest @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 06:45 PM) Why are there high school girls singing on this broadcast? Beckham is in town, all the girls are singing.
  6. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 05:18 PM) That's more like a station wagon to me than an SUV, that thing couldn't handle the off road stuff I'd need it for. My Jeep tires are 32"x10", for reference. While I don't need the eventual replacement to be quite that large, I need it to have enough wheel well space and tire size to clear some obvious off road obsticals...nothing huge like boulders, but bad enough that a regular car wouldn't be able to do it. Unfortunately you're looking in a market that probably won't see a hybrid edition for at least a few years. Jeep had tried a diesel version of the Grand Cherokee but that was discontinued, and all-elecrtic versions were talked about but nothing seemed to materialize. My guess is that for those who are intending to use a Jeep as an offroader just don't care about gas mileage and there is no market for that.
  7. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 06:26 PM) Also, why is Michigan the 4 and Illinois is the 5 in the standings? Anyone know? Didn't Illinois win the head to head? And they have identical records. I don't get it. I was thinking that earlier too, not that it matters a whole lot but still seems off.
  8. Awesome fielding by the Sox and een worse baserunning by the Indians, only to be topped by the camera work. Jeez, I think the cameraman was more asleep than the Cleveland runner.
  9. Just tell them that if their kid isn't good enough then they should put in extra effort outside of practice and games to improve. You don't complain to teachers that their kid isn't doing well in a class if they aren't studying for it.
  10. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 05:07 PM) Big enough for long road trips, for 3 peoples cloths, canoe, tents, fishing gear, food, odds/ends, etc...basically, as big as a 4 door Jeep, etc. In other words, A REAL sized SUV, not a fake mini-suv like most of those hybrid suv's I'm seeing on these websites. I do not consider, for example, a Jeep Liberty to be a full sized SUV, it's too small and you'd be better off buying a regular car (as they have the same amount of room in them). Also, for me, the SUV has to be an SUV that won't fall apart if I bring it off road (which I do with my Jeep). If it's driven by soccer moms, I'd tear it's axels off in about 5 minutes when I drive off road to get to some of my favorite lakes in Wisconsin that don't have paved roads leading to them. How about the Highlander? Link "just over 42 cubic feet of space behind the second row when the third row is folded" so that seems to be quite a bit, and converts into a 7 seater if needed. "The Highlander Hybrid has a base MSRP that ranges from $37,290 to $42,945 plus $810 destination charges. That’s approximately $3,000 to $7,700 more than the conventional gas-powered Highlander, depending on model comparison. But, for the premium in cost, the Highlander offers 10 more horsepower and 11 more miles to the gallon in the city and eight more on the highway. Plus, tailpipe emissions are cleaner." - So depending on your miles you can figure the time to recover costs.
  11. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 04:55 PM) What did you end up getting? Some of the SUV hybrids don't seem to get much more MPG that I'd even bother...when I think hybrid, I think 28MPG or better (preferably 30+), and some of them I'm seeing 20mpg. To me, 20mpg isn't enough to justify the huge price increase over the gasoline variety, even with the uncertainty of oil prices. I'm hoping that by 2016 or so, SUV hybrid technology advances considerably, gets better MPG and is MUCH more affordable, as that's the next time I'll be in the market for a car. How big of an SUV are you looking at? There are a few options at 28 mpg and higher but they aren't Yukons.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 04:52 PM) Have you guys seen that new Lexus CT Hybrid? Gets 42mpg and starts at like $30k? Can get it loaded up pretty good for $35k. Really nice car, some decent room in it too... Wow that's pretty incredible.
  13. I love how dramatic players get after getting hit, you just look like a p****. Unless your hit in the head or in the groin show up the pitcher and go straight to first base.
  14. This is gonna be a football score type of game.
  15. Teahen another throwing error.
  16. It's going to be interesting to see who loses more games, KC or Cleveland. That inning was pathetic all around, pitching and defense by the Tribe was atrocious.
  17. QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 03:22 PM) that earpiece thing has been around for years, but the simple headset that came with my xbox is more than fine for me.. I have turtle beaches that I never even use and those were $100, I use the free crap one instead all the time.. dunno, but I just like it its simple I actually just use a cheap cellphone headset, the sound quality is much better than a headset I had borrowed from a friend. And I don't really care about what it looks like, and it's really not that abnormal.
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 01:21 PM) Oh, I didn't know they started making smaller ones. My friend lied to me. There was a huge influx of those a few months before Christmas, and there were wired ones that were similar in size for years.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 10:09 AM) I have gone to a ton of games in Gary and South Bend over the years. For me it hasn't made a difference that they had nothing to do with the Sox. The cost is the big reason for going to those games for me. Plus the facilities and intimacy of the game at these levels. Ive driven past that Gary Railcats (I think that's the team) countless times and was always intrigued by it, is it actually a nice place to watch a game?
  20. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 02:38 AM) I would feel SOOOO nerdy wearing a headset. Thank god the PS3 allows me to wear a tiny little bluetooth headset, but even I never use it, and haven't it probably over a year. Party Chat might change that though. You mean like this? And it is a little bit nerdy, but so is playing video games. You get used to the headset real quick, and is really not a problem at all. I only wear it if there is a friend online, which is almost always, since game chats usually suck, but party chats are one of the highlights of playing online, totally different experience being able to coordinate with only your friends while in a game.
  21. You forgot Castro.
  22. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 10:45 PM) That is better than PS3's text only chat, but I wouldn't use the voice chat. Heck, I don't even have a headset. You learn to love it honestly, I feel like Im playing a game naked if I can't find my headset. It's like leaving your house without a cellphone nowadays, yo ucan get by fine without it, but it just isn't the same and something always feels off.
  23. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 11:00 PM) Yeah, I think the gameplay is slightly better than 2, but Brotherhood feels short. Of course, part of that could be that you are always in one map so you don't have to wait on load times to switch places (which really annoyed me in the first 2 games). I've been getting into the multiplayer lately so I'm getting my money's worth out of the game. I don't understand the chat thing. What's the big deal about that? You can chat during multiplayer games when needed. As for the music, I always have my laptop in the room with me so if I want music, I use that. To me, these seem like very small things to choose a console over. Im not sure how the PS3 chat works, but if I understand it correctly one would not be able to chat with a friend unless both are in the same game. I know personally that I will talk with friends constantly who are in other games, and is pretty much how I keep up with friends who have graduated, don't live nearby, etc. It also allows creating of parties for games much easier, instead of having to call a friend I just join their party chat and ask them that way, and can talk to them til they join.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 08:23 PM) Another benefit Tru neglected... PSN is free. The MSRP is now like $60 per 12 months, you can usually find it onsale at some point for about $40 but still it's getting a bit out of hand.
  25. Im fine with this, even as a set up man it's not to unbearable especially if he continues to pitch like he has, which would make it pretty fair for both sides.
