QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) I hate tech support. Oops I mean thanks, but could I speak to the man of the house? I kid, because I care®* *Used by permission of FlaSoxxJim :finger (thanks for the laugh though) I am in mourning right now. The guy in the plant that I directly work with is leaving. He is the only one down there that can have something explained to him without having to go through a whole diatribe. I am glad he is getting an opportunity at "bigger and better," but our company is going to suffer severely from his loss.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 24, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) Thats the one I am planning on getting. Some reviews claim it leaks from the dispensing seal and the electronic clocks shorts easily with all the condensation that runs down the back. I've had it for a year and a half and no problems so far (crossing fingers lol).

I love mine! Hamilton Beach 12 cup coffee maker - best one I have ever owned. My coffee pot I would have put a picture here, but I can't attach it any way I try.

I have to get wrapped up in work and not make it here until 11 more often. Woohoo!

Rich Garces... El Guapo... Kidnapped?
Queen Prawn replied to JDsDirtySox's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I hope he makes it out of this ordeal relatively unscathed. Prayers go out to him and his family. -
Woohoo! Go Pats and Go Brady!

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jan 23, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Hey QP, i didn't know you lived around alsip? Do you live in the mt. greenwood area or something? I'm in Mount Greenwood (a couple blocks behind bourbon st). From where I am at, if I go a block in one direction, I am in Garden Homes, if I go a couple blocks in another, I am in Merionette Park (sp?) and a couple blocks in yet, another direction, I am in Alsip.

Snow totals from yesterday.

We got about 10-12" here (south Chicago near Alsip). I shoveled 3 times yesterday and then gave up. My back is killing me, but I will probably go and tackle the rest in an hour or so.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 22, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) I heard that he petitioned Congress to allot 5 bucks for him to throw in the plate... ...he calls it "No Collection Left Behind".... LMAO!

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 08:29 PM) My son turned 16 and is driving more. Scary, scary, time for me. Every car crash really hits home now. I can only imagine. Last night I was waiting for Brian to get home (with rear-wheel drive and tires that don't grip well in the snow, it can be a tough wait - so last night I baked oatmeal-rasin cookies to take up my time). His co-worker calls about an hr after Brian left and was laughing because he was home and Brian wasn't. Well for the next half hour I was on pins and needles waiting for the Mustang to pull into the driveway. RIP to the young man from Moesha who died.

Brian and I were goofing off a couple nights ago while I was making him dinner. I went to sneak up behind him and goose him. Instead, I slipped and whacked my forearm off of the kitchen sink. That hurt, but somehow managed to not bruise.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) Funny, that's exactly how I feel about basketball or college anything highlights. Gotta agree with you on that, Critic.

QUOTE(winodj @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 01:59 PM) Rabbit isn't that tasty. My great-grandparents raised rabbits. While my gramma could prepare them, she could never eat them. If there was a family dinner, my mom and her would have macaroni and cheese.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) Then again, if Billy is that in that touch with the celestial real estate business, he may have insider knowledge that W really was the Big G's pick to click. The meek will inherit the earth, but apparently the dumbasses get America. LMAO!

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) I would love some hockey this season, but I doubt it.

I was figurin' - didn't want to disappoint!

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) I originally thought you meant US style such as this... Police in Radnor,Pa., Interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine. The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth. Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed. That is hysterical!

I won't say much on this topic because if I start, I may never shut up. What I would like is for customers to quit f***ing asking me if I am in tech support when I answer the damn phone!!! They don't ask my coworker (guy) that. It isn't just male customers, female customers ask the same damn thing after I spew out my initial greeting. (I work for a resistor manufacturer.)

Speaking of volatile things that people work with, I was amazed at some of the chemicals printers used to use (and some that they actually still do use). Horrific stuff. I went with Brian for his chemical screening a couple months back and we were talking with some of the old timers and they were telling us of th cancers and growths and such some of those chemicals caused.
