Either the Whale, the Cincinatti Cyclones (current...so to speak) or the current White Sox logo.

What's with the name calling? Please make your points without the name calling. That goes for all (I just stumbled into this thread and saw this one that is why I note this now and not earlier in the thread).

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Feb 1, 2005 -> 01:43 PM) The best fast food without compare is Popeye's Cajun Spicy Fried Chicken. It pisses me off that I have to drive to Peoria to get it. Ohh well I'm going to be moving closer to one too. NOTHING ELSE CAN COMPARE. NOTHING! POPEYES IS KING! Popeyes with the Cajun Fries and a Coke. Done deal. BEST EVER! .....Now I need to go to Peoria this weekend, thanks alot. How could I forget that?!

I avoid fast food as much as possible (going once a month is alot for me). But when I do go, I go to Rosie's on 103rd and Cicero for a Gyros dinner. Mmmmmmm good!

LOL @ the last line of the article. Why am I not surprised? It would also seem to say the phone company is selling our numbers as well.

I travel this stretch every day. I couldn't even tell you the number of wrecks I've seen. When I get in my car each time, I pray I make it to my destination in one piece. I just watched a report 2 and 7 did and damn, that poor lady likely didn't see it coming until the split second before it happened. I feel for the truck driver especially if they do conclude it was driver error. Just from some of the pictures, if they don't conclude driver error, it looks like catastrophic failure in the drive axle area or a blowout as there doesn't appear to have been any braking going on at all. One way or another, for all the families touched by this.

Some Queen song or another. Probably "Save Me" or "Spread Your Wings."

Truck Overturns Near North-South Tollway CHICAGO -- Several people were reported injured -- at least one critically --- Monday afternoon in an accident involving a semi-trailer truck and cars near I-355 in Itasca, the Illinois State Police said. A semi-trailer truck "rolled onto some cars" on Highway 53 where the interstate splits with I-290, state police Elgin District Sgt. Robert Huber said shortly before 2 p.m.. The truck driver and a woman whose car was "crushed" by the truck's trailer had to be extricated, Huber said. He said the woman was airlifted to a hospital but did not know which facility. The truck driver was taken to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with "non life-threatening injuries," Huber said. The rig was westbound on I-290, and where the interstate curves to meet I-355 to go northbound, it went across all of the northbound lanes, the sergeant said. The truck then hit a median wall and lost its trailer, which went over the wall and landed on cars below, Huber said. "We're working feverishly" to get roadways open before the afternoon rush hour, he said at 2:45 p.m. Itasca Fire Protection District officials remained on the scene, a district secretary said. "It was a serious accident," Huber said. I-355 southbound at I-290 was "completely shut down," Huber said. Two to four cars were involved in the accident, in addition to the semi-trailer truck, he said. The Itasca Fire Department responded to the accident scene, Huber said. ****************************************************************** There are pictures of the wreckage on the page.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 31, 2005 -> 10:36 AM) Rachael Ray is the best. I got my picture taken with her and she signed a cookbook for me. I like her 30 minute cooking show, but could do with out the other two shows she does.

Watched Starsky and Hutch last night. LMAO through most of it. I got a kick out of the bit at the end.

I remember that when they showed the episode. I couldn't stand him from then on. The only things I like about the new one is Alton Brown and The Chairman's nephew.

I watch Iron Chef at 10PM M-F. I am not sure yet if I like the new one or not (partially because I don't like Bobby Flay).

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jan 30, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) I am 23 and had to buy braces myself about last year because my parents were too poor to afford them. My teeth were really bad. I mean like terrible, overbite and all. Now the overbite is alot better. They still have a long way to go. They used a spring to make room for the last tooth that has to come up. I must admit it's a good feeling knowing all of that money i've spent is finally starting to pay off. It's also nice to know that i'm not the only person over 21 that still has braces... Ditto on the reason I had to wait until 27 for them. I have to have two teeth on the bottom pulled and jaw surgery was suggested, but due to cash, I will have to pass on it. The jaw surgery was to bring the lower jaw forward a bit. My brother needs the same thing, but his is worse so I don't think his is optional.

For me, I think I felt that because I am 28 and have lived with f***ed up teeth. It was great to feel my teeth and have them feel normal. I also was thrilled that I could close my mouth and not automatically bite my tongue.

When a tooth (teeth) that were way out of sorts pre-braces finally lined up and were relatively straight, did you feel so happy that you had tears (or near tears)? I had a tooth that had grown in behind my front tooth due to space restriction. Well, the doc has been using rubber bands to pull it to position (and a coil to create more room in the gap that was there). Yesterday, the wire was able to fit to help it line up even better. Over night it pretty much got it into postion and feels like it is fairly well lined up with the rest of the teeth. I almost teared up last night when we were driving home from my Brian's cousin's kid's birthday party. I ran my tongue against the back of my teeth and the tooth was were it was supposed to be and felt line up correctly. Weird, I know. But, has anyone else experienced this?

We were going to rent that last night, but instead rented "Sky Captain, World of Tomorrow" (I think that was the name) and "Starsky and Hutch." Watched Sky Captain - I enjoyed it . Haven't watch Starsky yet though.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 09:04 AM) For what it's worth, the best microwave butter popcorn I have ever had is Trails End extreme butter. Every last kernal pops and the butter actually comes close to tasting like butter. Available from a Boy Scout near you. We purchased two boxes of this from Brian's nephew and it's great! I sprinkle Tastefully Simple's Seasoned Salt on it and it tastes even better.

Queen Prawn replied to LosMediasBlancas's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 08:32 AM) According to today's Sun Times, the Tigers have an offer of 5 years, 55 mil. for Maggs on the table. Get this, Boras wants more years. Is that town gonna crucify their GM or what? Anyone know any more about this? Wow. That's about all I can say; wow.
