He had an aneurism (sp?) and promised his dad he'd wear it. He said he knew it didn't have anything to do with his condition, but it was a comfort to his dad.

Wait until they are both teenagers (or pre-teens at least). My sister and I had some serious fights when we were both that age. I must admit that I got my ass kicked every time too. Never did get the knack of fighting.

The way they've been couting down their top 25s have also been beyond inane. Someone needs to slap these people upside their collective heads.

Mysteriously Missing Girl Returns Home Mysteriously Missing Girl Returns Home Girl Disappeared In Middle Of The Night POSTED: 6:53 am CDT July 14, 2004 UPDATED: 6:18 pm CDT July 14, 2004 CHICAGO -- A 13-year-old south side girl who had been missing for over 36 hours was safely back home with her family Wednesday afternoon, police News Affairs Officer Carlos Herrera said. Herrera had no information about where Jasmine Anderson had been or how she was located. The teen went missing from her south side home after disappearing while chasing someone who allegedly stole her bicycle. Images: Jasmine Anderson Missing Before her return, Jasmine had last been seen around 3 a.m. Tuesday, when she went outside in the 3000 block of South Michigan Avenue, to chase away whoever she heard taking her bike. Police later apprehended the alleged bike thief, identified as 33-year-old Leon Williams. Misdemeanor charges were filed against Williams, but investigators said he was not involved in Anderson's disappearance, according to NBC5's Kim Vatis. Anderson's mother, Wendy Kent, made a public appeal for information about her daughter. "If anybody has her, just bring my baby home," Kent said tearfully. "If she is hurt, somebody call me, and if somebody sees her, call us and tell us where she is. Just tell us something so we know." Police released a description of Anderson: 5 feet 1 inch tall, 120 pounds, last seen wearing a yellow tank top and blue shorts with white stripes. She had no shoes at the time of her disappearance.

Seeing my friend raise her 3 girls, my sister raising her son and asking my mom, the general concensus I got was that boys are much easier to raise than girls.

Another nominiation: Man Sets Three Children, Woman On Fire In Car Man Sets Three Children, Woman On Fire In Car POSTED: 11:30 am EDT July 14, 2004 BONNEY LAKE, Wash. -- A man doused his estranged girlfriend and three small children with gasoline while holding them at gunpoint in a car early Wednesday, set them on fire and crashed the vehicle, killing the youngsters and dying soon afterward. The 19-year-old woman, who recently filed an assault complaint against him, was in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle following the crash at an intersection near this town east of Tacoma, Pierce County sheriff's Detective Ed Troyer said. The man pulled the gun after he and the others got into the car, then doused them with gasoline and flicked a lighter to set them on fire as he drove, Troyer said. Around 1 a.m., a resident reported hearing a crash and seeing two adults completely on fire as they stumbled across the road. Firefighters found the bodies of the children in the back of the overturned car, which was severely burned. The 6-month-old boy, 1½-year-old boy and 2½-year-old girl were the children of either the man, the woman or both, Troyer said. Troyer said the woman, who lives in Puyallup, filed an assault complaint in recent days, and a deputy was assigned to the case, but the woman failed to follow through. "They were in the process of getting back together or breaking up, off and on," he said. The woman's relatives indicated there had been "some unreported domestic violence" before she made the complaint, Troyer said. The 24-year-old man was pronounced dead on arrival at Harborview. At the scene, he was incoherent but the woman managed to speak briefly, authorities said. "Fortunately, she was able to give us preliminary information," Troyer said. It was not immediately known where the car had been before the crash, he said. ******************************************************************** Makes me sick and brings tears to my eyes thinking about what those children endured...

Alderman Wants Wrigley Bus For Processing Drunk Fans Alderman Wants Wrigley Bus For Processing Drunk Fans POSTED: 7:33 am CDT July 14, 2004 CHICAGO -- The alderman representing the neighborhood around Wrigley Field has demanded that police crack down on drunk and rowdy fans by holding court hearings on a bus parked outside the stadium. Alderman Tom Tunney said Tuesday that he's exploring the possibility of using the bus to detain fans arrested for public drinking or urination. He says the bus could be used for hearings or to transport the fans to the police station. Chicago Police spokesman David Bayless says the department is going to take a look at the bus proposal to see if the idea is feasible. Community leaders have been demanding zero-tolerance against drunk and disorderly fans since May Sixth. An altercation that day between a motorist and a pedestrian outside Wrigley killed 26-year-old Frankie Hernandez.
